1741  Other / Meta / Re: [Need some suggestions]Bitcointalk.org Slow website response time on: September 12, 2017, 09:42:59 PM
As far as my experience goes, the loading time for threads and other posts has finally become stable after a long time.I mean, used to take me about forever to post at times with that database error.Recently,it's working just fine atleast I can browse the forum and post without having to wait.Theymos has even disabled the forum search which I suppose is working out.

Thanks for sharing your experience Joel.

Meaning the problem is really on my side as you guys doesn't have any problem like mine and like I said, even on my friends. Im doing Google search now for possible network tweaks and tips. Will also try to use VPN if it will works.

(btw the main post takes 3 to 5 minutes before it was posted lol)

-dns changed not worked
-changing channels not worked
I don't think  VPN's would be the most feasible solution either. You should probably message your network details to theymos.I remember he had a thread where he requests your traceRoute details if the forum is absolutely slow.I'm too dozy to find that thread at the moment, you should be able to find it.

Do I need any previous work to qualify ?
Yes and No.Of course the members with previous work experiences would be preferred but if you can bring in the quality work, you always stand a chance.

Thanks for posting your applications. I've started to review them manually.I will be selecting 15 popular languages from among the posted (you may continue posting if your language hasn't posted already).I shall be updating the thread with the selected participants in a while.
1744  Economy / Services / Re: Need Escrow Serivce provider from forum on regular basis on: September 12, 2017, 08:40:32 PM
Hi All,

The strange thing for me is none of you are having any trust not even +1 , so not sure how to proceed further .
That simply means they are not to be trusted. If you really need a trusted escrow for legit trades and you are even ready to pay a good service charge, you should talk to minerJones,Lauda,Phillima,OGNasty.Mind you, they don't really escrow trades which are very low volume. Please don't take risks with a untrusted member of the forum..

I would still be seeking some more options ?

Thank you for your offers
I gave you the names, message them personally to see if anyone is okay with your terms and conditions.

1746  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Nexchange.io Developers trying insult to respected Members pls stop it. on: September 12, 2017, 07:36:57 PM
Nexchange.io Signature Campaign trying insult to respected members about from few days Please stop this drama and do not make joke with Respected Members of this forum or Hire Sir , Yahoo or other Experience Manager
Payment to member .0000005 btc who support me

Can someone please enlighten me what's going on ? Is the OP mad because the signature campaign is paying .0000005 btc for the member rank ?

I think Yahoo himself would not approve of you spamming the forum. Hopefully he comments on this thread as I speak on behalf of everyone here baseless accusations like this is not welcome here.
What does this have to do with yahoo ? Is he managing their signature campaign ? I don't think he'd agree with those payment rates.
1747  Other / Meta / Re: Posts quality, WTF!? on: September 11, 2017, 08:35:12 PM
Is the difference so big between a short crappily written post and a 2-3 paragraphs long sugar-coated post which contains nothing of essence but sports perfect grammar? Because I have seen both and honestly as long as people get paid to post around here the barrage of pretended replies will continue.
So you mean to say banning signature campaigns is the only way to solve this problem ? I think not.

SMAS is great! But what a pity it’s never going to solve the problem and I’ll tell you why. As long as it is self regulated community based on voluntary formation, truly honorable SMAS participants can’t force one to enroll. Actually I see one way for it to become more effective and it’s about implementing SMAS as a common courtesy to each campaign, so it could obtain something like a Michelin stars for restaurants status. From that side, SMAS would become a supervision institution for campaign managers and campaigns which could be for example labeled in appropriate way rising trust level of a whole project.
Either way SMAS has reduced spam to a certain extent. Not all campaign managers choose quality participants as of SMAS standards. They do keep an eye for participants banned by SMAS but still that doesn't guarantee the replacement participant accepted has good posting quality.
1748  Other / Meta / Re: "Search is temporarily disabled" on: September 11, 2017, 07:47:09 PM

If you can see the magnifying glass left side of the search box above that is the advanced search button..
OR you can use this link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=search;advanced

I think they disable this for a long time..
Correct me if I'm wrong but the isn't advanced search also closed ? Clicking on magnifying glass still throws the same error that is 'disabled'.Seems like google-search is the only way to do it.Too bad because I was heavily relied on the forum search for finding alt accounts,Have to agree that id drastically slowed down the forum and maybe that's why theymos disabled it forever..
1749  Economy / Gambling / Re: 999dice.com - How to prove their fairness? on: September 11, 2017, 07:40:23 PM
So, basically in order to verify the bet I shoul use the seed I get after placing the bet, not the one I had prior to it

And since a new seed is generated after each bet and we have no idea how it is generated, 999dice is not provably fair at all.

Does this work?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=950605.msg10407384#msg10407384
To be honest, their procedure looks quite complicated as compared to other provable fairness methods I have come across on different websites. What I find sketchy is this,
Quote
Keep taking groups of 3 bytes and converting to an integer, until a value less than 16 million is found. If you run out of bytes, hash it again and start over.
Find the value's modulus of 1 million
Why only 3 bytes ? Why the value would be less than 16 million ? I mean I know it's a stupid question but this doesn't look like a formula for throwing a provable fair number to me.Anyway,I'll check a real time example tomorrow or something.
1750  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk forum outdated and lacks mobile support on: September 11, 2017, 07:30:30 PM
.
1) Is there any reason this forum uses SMF 1.1.9? Version 2.0.X is available.
A new open-source forum software is developed so I don't see the need to migrate to SMF 2.0 when in the near future we are going to ditch SMF completely.

.
2) Is there any planes to provide mobile support? I like the content and i have spare time when im commuting from place to place. Would be awesome to be able to read some posts from mobile phone.
Thanks
Which phone do you use ? I can post/browse the forum from my Iphone without any problems,so do the Android users.
1751  Economy / Reputation / Re: My sincere apologies to everyone. (Escrow.ms) on: September 11, 2017, 07:24:37 PM
escrow.ms you are really a dumb person, why you keep singing this thread and you are a innocent guy..if cops on your country see this about whom you are saying that they are corrupt than you will land in some more trouble.
lol being from the same country where he lives, even the cops would laugh and agree if you ask them if they're corrupt. The corruption in India is so public that you need to bribe the government officials to get basic shit done like getting your government license. If you are caught speeding, drunk driving by the cops. You don't pay fine, you pay 1/4 of the fine amount to cops and you are good to go.

Good afternoon. On which programming languages best to write to the blockchain. Python, Go, Java
Any language you are comfortable in.To start with, high level language would be an ideal choice.Depending on your model and goals you are trying to achieve, you can figure out which language would be a perfect fit.Python is good but C++ is better.
1759  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.1161 BTC on: September 10, 2017, 06:33:17 PM
Loan Amount: 0.1161 BTC
Reason for Taking out a Loan: Purchase a new domain name which is secured by park.io and general improvements/advertisement for my website bitcoinfaucet.ca
Amount to be repaid:0.1233 BTC
Repayment Date:09/15/2017
Type of Collateral: Domain java.io (valued at $900-$1000 java.in sold for $1050 and java.asia sold for $2600)
Bitcoin Address: 1JipfAtLFRCfgQsTfptdDsvYRMjQ7BoiXf
Domain is nice and worth the value as you have said but I'll give you a reason which lenders would hesitate taking it as a collateral.Domain names can be easily acquired back by changing details. How would you guarantee you wouldn't take the domain back if failure to pay the loan ? Are you going to transfer the domain ownership for collateral ?
