1341  Economy / Reputation / Re: Take a look at these two on: February 12, 2018, 07:58:20 PM
Please don't open up new threads for every alt accounts you come across. There is a thread dedicated for this purpose : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2544574.0
You can use your proofs and list the connection there. If they're cheating bounty campaigns, appropriate DT members are active in that thread to leave them a rating.
1342  Other / Meta / Re: I would like to be able to see merit on "last posts of this user" on: February 12, 2018, 07:38:17 PM
If there is anyway to make this happen it would be a lot easier to scam people's posts and see if they are abusing merit
What's wrong with going the normal way ? I think having the entire Merit history at one place is much better since you don't have to keep scrolling like posts to see where did the merits come from. Also user would have gotten merits in the threads created by him so "last posts" won't accurately show his merit stats.
1343  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to run a signature campaign? on: February 12, 2018, 07:23:42 PM
I am on the verge of launching my ICO and want to buy a bitcointalk Hero Member account.
Do that and I'll be the first one to Flag your ICO as a 'future scam-stay away'.Why in the hell would you want a Hero Member to run an ICO ? You can buy copper member status if posting images is an issue. If you think posting an ANN with a hero member is going to make your ICO any credible, you're wrong.

Also I want to run a signature campaign. Kindly someone explain to me what a signature campaign is and how to run it?
-Not going to do into details (because I'm sure merit beggars have ample of time on their hands to write essays).
-Basically,you pay members to advertise your company in their signature space provided by the forum. The more the users post in the different sections of the forum, you're more likely to get advertised around.
-The conversation rates however are not insanely Great if you're expecting them.Signature campaigns are more like spreading a word in the community.
1344  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2018 Q1) on: February 12, 2018, 07:14:55 PM
Good afternoon. On what grounds do you accuse me of creating a multi-client account. Why write such a lie? I can prove and confirm that I have nothing to do with those accouns and I only lead one. The manager of THEKEY in the Telegram channel herself asked to create wallets for charging tokens and all began to register. QUESTION - on what right can you speak like that?
You're good to go mate,I checked out the connections and for now the accuser hasn't got any relevant proofs of accounts being connected.Posting in a similar fashion as requested in the campaign requirement thread doesn't stand as a concrete proof to address the alt accounts.

I have one question though, why would you write this part just like the above member ?

1345  Other / Meta / Re: Merit source application on: February 12, 2018, 06:59:05 PM
Which part of my post was meaningless? I've encouraged many people to re-write my posts and make them shorter without losing any meaning; if I've repeated myself uselessly I'll concede it and adjust myself.
Quote
It seems like you have good intentions, and I'm sure if you continue to work hard at it you will, at some point, be a serious consideration for being a merit source and if you're lucky a DT member.
Like do you really think that part was needed ? Most of whatever you write is verbose.I mean I don't want to derail the thread by making it about "you" but it's annoying to see long lengthy posts from you all the time which doesn't add anything else than required.

Side-Note, explaining yourself thoroughly does not make your point any less valid (normally does the opposite) nor does it make it less relevant. It is important to be precise and careful with your words.
Yes and you can do the same without writing an essay. You know people aren't really  a fan of reading more than what's required (not me at least)
1346  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: As a newbie where to buy my first crypto? on: February 12, 2018, 06:50:38 PM
I'm willing to invest into crytocurrencies but not sure how to start ones I'm ready to dive in. Shall I go through Bittrex, Coinbase or find a legit seller here in BTCtalk? What would be your advise?
- Don't be an average bubble headed idiot who hears about cryptos someday and plans to buy it the next moment.
- Give yourself sometime and learn how things work.Lean about wallets, exchanges, transactions and maybe watch a couple of starter videos on youtube before blindly jumping into investment.
- The less time you spend in understand the basics, the more you will suffer in the long run.
1347  Other / Meta / Re: Merit source application on: February 12, 2018, 06:41:24 PM
Your account was created this most recent September, which was only a few months back;
- Says someone who has bought their account  Lips sealed Your post history speaks for itself.

I would hardly consider this established, besides you have very minimal (only 1) trust rating or marketplace feedback. Do you have any experience Patrolling/reporting posts? I know this isn't directly related, but in terms of how "established" your account is, that might be a long way as a contributing factor, especially when the rest of the factors I can think of are falling short.
Non-sense.Why do you drag posts meaninglessly ? Which part of theymos announcement said one needs to be very trusted or a an active reporter of posts to become a merit source ? Don't come up with your own theories as they aren't relevant specially if embedded in posts as long as an essay.
1348  Other / Meta / Re: Give me a week of moderator status in the Bitcoin subforum on: February 12, 2018, 05:32:46 AM
Look at it, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=1.0

The subforum has become full of low quality topics that spammers love to bump and post in. I can also see that some good quality posters participate in those spam filled threads because I believe they have no choice. "If you cannot beat them, join them".

Give me a week of mod status. I will clean it up.
- What  is your post reporting accuracy ?
 - How many posts have you reported till date ?
 - How many forum cleanup related threads such as Finding Alt's,reporting spamming accounts etc have you participated in ?

Becoming a moderator is not the only way you can help the forum. If you find a post spammy, report it.People often choose easy way of doing it as if 'giving them negative' is going to help them stop.Start doing stuff that matters.
1349  Other / Meta / Re: Remove the option to self-moderate topics within the marketplace on: February 11, 2018, 08:17:56 PM
Full, Senior, Hero, and Legendary users would NOT be affected.  Those groups would keep the ability to self-moderate in the decided upon marketplace sections(credit to akamit).
It would also be advantageous to have this benefit become disabled if a user's trust becomes negative(credit to ralle14).  Loss of benefits would apply regardless of their user group.
How difficult it is to buy a Full Member account on the forum ? The scammers would simply buy higher ranked accounts to start self-moderated threads..By the time user's trust becomes negative,he would have scammed a good amount of money to buy a new account..
I'm not saying this wouldn't work but scammers would find loopholes and keep doing what they intend to.

1350  Other / Meta / Re: Wanting Merit in your quality post is treated as a CRIME ?? on: February 11, 2018, 08:06:18 PM
It's all in the actual word. Merit - Something that deserves or justifies a reward or commendation; a commendable quality, act, etc.: . Although some may think their posts deserve to be merited ultimately is the community who decides whether or not it is going to happen. Consistent contributions to the community will result in a merited account and this is how it's supposed to work.
Yes primitively,it is suppose to work that way but it ISN'T. It has become more like  "It's my merit,I do whatever I want with it because the quality of posts is subjective."Look around the forum, you will find same people meriting same accounts most of the time.Definitely not going the way the system is intended to be.
1351  Economy / Speculation / Re: Any prediction for the Bitcoin? on: February 11, 2018, 08:02:08 PM
Bitcoin still fighting to be stable. In every two days, Bitcoin price rising and down happening. This is too volatile now. So, What do you think about the recent market? will it rise again? If which then which month it will happen?
Very vague,absurd question.

Pretty sure no one here is Nostradamus to predict the absolute details about the bitcoin's price. If you can understand charts, statistics and data-mining,you can come up with some interesting information for yourself. Also this looks like a question a Fudster can answer at his best.
1352  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Released my first app Crypto Contacts on Android, asking for feedback. on: February 11, 2018, 07:44:39 PM
From the set of problems out there, you have targeted a very simple one (a nice first step I suppose)

- You know eventually, your list is going to grow with addresses and one would lose track of an address if it has been used earlier. What feature do you provide which helps me locate a particular address from the list of say 1000 addresses ?

- You can do something like : Let people choose a name to give for a particular address and keep an auto search options which helps them find that address even if they remember the initial letters something like fuzzy search.
1353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Goodbye Blockchain. Hello Hashgraph. on: February 11, 2018, 07:14:42 PM
Is there actually any coin that uses the hashgraph technology ?

I know tangle is used by IOTA and Byteball, but hashgraph ?Smiley
No.Currently no systems are actively being implemented using HashGraph. The project creators have their blue print models ready I guess and one can pick up the technology to implement it in the real world. This would take a few months/years due to the 'centralised' nature of the project. They have patented the idea so not sure how commercial industries will pick up if they have to reward the creators for using the concept.

I could be wrong though, anyone is free to bring up information if they find it relevant to the thread.
1354  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SPAMMER 0THIS USER SPAMMER. on: February 11, 2018, 07:01:20 PM
THIS USER SPAMMER.

he always posts on AUCTION.

I think he is not serious, him just kidding

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=993438
Nope that user is not a spammer. All I see is someone dedicated in finding alt accounts on the forum from his previous posts. There are a few legitimate bids in the action threads but that's not spammed on purpose.

Are you one of the accounts he found the alt's for ?
- Move this to reputation
- Lock this thread as this isn't going anywhere.
1355  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this allowed? on: February 11, 2018, 06:57:03 PM
Check this guy profile
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1184165
Got 50 merit for a post like this
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2890431.msg29712339#msg29712339

I can't say they are related but if this is how merit will be used. It is killing the system
Yes it is allowed. As long as he is not giving merits to his alt accounts/selling merits, there is no problem in distributing in which ever ways he finds it useful. That post looks like a trash to to you but  maybe the merit giver actually finds it interesting ? It is subjective.

I often come across group of people/friends giving merits to one another, people in the same signature campaigns giving merits to one another and so on.If that is not questionable, this shouldn't be.
1356  Economy / Services / Re: List of skilled developers? on: February 11, 2018, 12:12:14 PM
Please don't contact me asking me to hire you (feel free to post your portfolio though). I just want to study my options for now. I have a project idea in my mind, but still not sure If I should go with it or not.
- There are very few reputable developers on bitcointalk.
- I'm trying to find a Back-End developer for one of my projects and I only come across people who know surface level things about programming.
- You will get developers who only work with old stacks ie Php,Jquery,Bootstrap (mostly the self taught programmers)
- Portfolios don't work out either. When people send me portfolios, they mention expertise in all the available programming languages out there but when I pitch the project idea, they back out.
- If you're going to consider things like Code optimisation,Speed,Algos,Data Structures you'll have a hard time finding someone worthy here.
1357  Other / Meta / Re: List of Accounts which Needs a Ban [ICO pumping accounts] on: February 10, 2018, 07:25:56 PM
Bump!
1358  Economy / Lending / Re: Need a loan 0.1 BTC up to 17.02 on: February 10, 2018, 03:53:55 PM
We need a loan of 0.1 BTC, for a period until February 17. I'll give 0.13
Deposit - possible

There is USDT worth more than $ 1000 on the binance exchange
Also on this forum there is a topic where the CEO.IX exchange is due to me an amount of $ 20,000

Soooo what exactly the collateral offered again ? From the given inadequate information,I can assume \
 - USDT can't be hold as a valid collateral as the coins are stored on an exchange. You can't use that account as a collateral as well.
 - You can't use the CEX.io amount as a collateral because that isn't with you.
1359  Economy / Reputation / Re: This member is a SPAMMER on: February 09, 2018, 03:51:19 PM
Why bother opening a new thread when you can effectively use that ''Report To Moderator" button and get this solved ? I have reported his posts and hopefully he will get a ban/temp-ban soon. You don't have to open new threads for every spammer that you come across.
1360  Economy / Services / Re: Im selling bitcointalk accounts on: February 09, 2018, 12:44:37 PM
So more like technically YES. I want a higher rank account so I can do some bounties. I need to earn some money and a friend encouraged me to get an account here and try it.
Fuck you and Fuck your friend.Maybe I'll personally send him a "Fuck You" message if you tell me who your friend is.Also fuck off from the forum if you are buying an account or are just here to make some shit coins from bounties.
You are exactly the type of people the forum wants to get rid off.Sent you a negative feedback even before your official journey started on the forum.
