1521  Other / Meta / Re: Homework : count how many alts the OP has on: November 19, 2017, 08:36:39 PM
If you see a project bumped by an army of alts it should be a clear indication of the dev's intentions. If you have a good legit project all you need is buy some ads, maybe start a small bounty campaign on social media and it will all go by itself. If you spend time or money to get accounts on bitcointalk instead of working on your project you're an obvious scammer. Ignore such projects and they'll lose.
Hard to say that the reputed projects aren't doing it.It is becoming more of a marketing thing slowly, just to keep the threads on the top and attract potential investors. Moreover, you will never know if behind an account is the army of alts of the same service provider.Even if the project is legit, they still need to advertise my staying on top of all the threads right ?
1522  Economy / Services / Re: Earn $10 USD: I need help with a collectible card game design on: November 19, 2017, 08:24:06 PM
Sorry didn't get your objective completely. If I'm not wrong you have linked to a sort of white paper in the link.Which designs needs a suggestion ? Also by design do you mean the actual design or with the architecture of your system ? I would like to review it if by design you don't mean 'actual graphics'.
1523  Economy / Reputation / Re: How to get trust rating up? on: November 19, 2017, 06:50:48 PM
Make trading, if you really wanted to gain trust. You buy or sell stuff and you can earn positive trust when you have legit and successful trading. But before doing that, work first on your activity, post constructive ideas something that can contribute to the community. Dont make nonsense posts, make sure you are posting everyday but not to the point that you abuse it, you can make up to 7 posts a day. Good luck!
Literally, you just told him the exact opposite of what he should be doing. How does one gain trust by having good quality posts ?  Undecided
For instance, your misguiding post is a nice example of how one should be posting in a thread when they what no idea what's going on.Who said more than 7 posts a day abuses any of the forum rules.
1524  Other / Meta / Re: Homework : count how many alts the OP has on: November 19, 2017, 05:01:27 PM
So the homework is the following :
1- count how many spammers.
Most of them will be from the trending Alt-Coin thread boosting service which is in trends recently.Op might not even be the alts but could have hired a service which has number of accounts to study about your project. To my knowledge, they read your whitepaper and stuff so they know what they're talking about.

2- count how many (potential) alts the OP having.
3- shouldn't we prohibit at least these kinds of projects from asking for donations before joining the airdrop? It is prohibited in the forums afaik! Same rules normally should apply since they are asking for donations!
OP isn't the only one,lot of other New Shitcoins do the same.
1525  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Sportsbet.io Scam 36.7 mBTC on: November 19, 2017, 02:40:28 PM
What happened: I deposited 18 mBTC with low fee. When I wanted to withdraw and saw that there was no confirmations, I used the electrum replace fee option to increase fee. Now they accuse me of double spending?:

Scammers Profile Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=832366

Reference Link: N/A
Amount Scammed: .0367 BTC
Payment Method: BTCBTC
Proof of Payment: https://blockexplorer.com/tx/699fec363c6c1d0ba2d7c29bb29f93c45cbfb460b9d64d235990971c6264964c
Additional Notes: Apparently their security team is investigating it. It's a simple electrum fee replace what's to investigate?
To start with, either you're blind or stupid. When you know how their profile on bitcointalk looks like, you should be able to see those big red negative feedback's left on their profile by the DT members. If you still wish to proceed and deposit money on their service, you are taking a big risk which you seemed okay with.I don't know what to make out of your case but there is nothing much forum can do.Good Luck getting your money back.
1526  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I made directory.io localy with balace but only 64 addreses ??? on: November 14, 2017, 09:28:28 PM
Speaking technically,
If you're looking for help related to the API/Code,it is always wise to host your code somewhere like codepen or format it properly using the provided bbcode code block. It's very very hard to assume and give you the solution when there is no code to refer. Please update your thread with relevant information.
1527  Economy / Reputation / Re: Recommendations for additions to Default Trust on: November 14, 2017, 09:18:13 PM
Does anyone have any recommendations for users who they feel deserve to be on Default Trust? I'm mainly looking for people who are very active in leaving accurate feedback, mostly against scammers and potential scammers etc. I can add people directly to level one via my main account or level 2 with this one, but I'll probably just be using this account to add users for now so I don't have to worry about who they trust as well, but I will likely promote people with good lists over time.
Given the current situations in the forum,I'd gladly recommend myself [Why wouldn't I ?  Tongue]

Being on a DT is a long time responsibility.I would like someone to be on the DT who has ample of time to deal with the critics and negative tag all the open cases by taking an  appropriate decision.Last time I recommended Lutpin and Mexxer who were  an idea choice for the DT [fortunately they did get selected].Can't really think of anyone who deserves to be there..

1532  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cartaxi Bounty Scam!! They Deceive their participants on: November 01, 2017, 01:18:23 PM
It's so pity to see that Cartaxi deceive there bounty campaign participants by paying such low amount why they allocate huge for there camp, And guess what they are now changing their rules while they already finish there ICO, Feel sorry for the guys who's working for 10 weeks on that camp.
Working ? lol Sharing stuff on social media and shitposting on bitcointalk doesn't count as 'work'.I don't understand why you guys feel bounties and other campaigns are a privilege.A campaign is viable to change their rules whenever they feel like.Do they guys owe you anything ? I think not.

The rules should not be changes since the Campaign is done, and they deceived there participants after they received some millions of dollars.

Who says that ? The rules can change however the campaign owners want them to be.If you don't like it,how hard it is to just leave the campaign?

So we can point out that for this doing Cartaxi is not professional and they might scam us on future. there business model seems questionable right now.
No it doesn't.
1533  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Decentralized Youtube on: October 31, 2017, 05:38:43 PM
that would never work, why dont you just get adblock and you just solves your problem with out having to create anything!
That is very narrow minded.AdBlock can block adds but doens't stop giving you suggestions for the videos you're not interested to watch. You are not understanding the whole thing, the vision of the project is to start a videoBlog without having a centralised party to make all the rules.
1534  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for web developers on coin project on: October 31, 2017, 05:36:28 PM
Heyyy guys , hope you're all great ! Wanted more developers to work on a coin index platform , more information will be given to you when we work on the project . Thank you .  Smiley
So basically you are planning to give out more information only when he starts to work ? It doesn't work out like that.Just to make things clear, you should always tell the developers if they will be getting paid in bitcoins or your tokens to keep not interested people away.
I have had cases where people promise to share info after messaging them but wasting 30 minutes of discussion only to realise the founders can't afford to pay developers right now is not worthy.
1535  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for specialist for the analysis of the project and Whitepaper writer on: October 31, 2017, 05:29:55 PM
We are looking for a specialist for a detailed analysis of our project and writing White Paper. We need a clear understanding of where and how to implement the technology Blockchain in our project so that our token could have real application and fit organically into the concept of our project.
Detailed analysis of your project ? I hope by that you mean someone who could figure out the tech used in your project, limitations and the entire system architecture will work out in real life.I can do that.Matter of fact,if this isn't something you're looking for ignore the message.
1536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Goodbye Blockchain. Hello Hashgraph. on: October 31, 2017, 05:20:34 PM
All I can say is that good for them for such landmark achievement. Reading through the article makes me realise that these people are not looking to sell their invention rather they are about attacking the already establish infrastructure that has been tested and found to be worthwhile but I am actually not bother because its not enough to build a project but convincing people to use such project and for them to abandon the one they have come to know all their life.
They are not really attacking the system, they're just making a better version of the current system. They understood the flaws and hence worked upon it.The technology is of course patented which is bad because open-source makes it available for anyone to contribute to it.

A lot of project, nice ones have been done with some coming with the slogan "the first breakthrough" "the best you are to see" "the new bitcoin" but at the end, its about the faith people have in bitcoin and the blockchain and not about how ingenious the technology is about.
Totally understand that but I'm only embracing the new tech here.Bitcoin's success is not only the tech behind it but mass adaption.

Posts would be counted and new applications will be reviewed tomorrow. Also payments would be made on the same day.
1538  Economy / Reputation / Re: Got a red trust for posting on off topic ;D on: October 30, 2017, 06:38:24 PM
You're pretending to be a female with a blatantly obvious fake profile (which you've admitted) and I find that pretty dodgy regardless of your true intent. I think the whole depression thing is also just bs just to get attention for whatever reason but if you are truly depressed then you should go get help from a professional or your friends/family instead of posting about it on a bitcoin forum.
And being affected by a negative trust so much that you actually open a thread about.Imagine,a person who is so depressed that he has tendencies to kill himself any minute gets bothered by a negative trust left on his profile.Well, this is something people with motivations do and not someone who is disappointed by life so much that they feel completely useless.

1539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Goodbye Blockchain. Hello Hashgraph. on: October 30, 2017, 06:31:34 PM
Thanks a lot for all your constructive replies.I'm amazed how most of the people the responded here know what's going on out there!
Initially I thought the topic would boil blood since it seems totally against the blockchain lovers people would be offended but that's not the case.Like it how everyone is embracing the new tech.To share my point of view,I don't think hashgraph will make a drastic change in the system anytime soon. They can have their own regulated coins ,they can altogether just provide a better tech but certainly not a better community.
1540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Goodbye Blockchain. Hello Hashgraph. on: October 29, 2017, 06:56:03 PM
Please don't shoot me Tongue  I too reacted the same way when I read the topic title.Infact, being an optimistic blockchain supporter,I didn't even bother to open the article until the geek inside me pushed me to.Anyway,I was surprised.I mean we should embrace the changes right ? Here ya go,welcome HashGraph.

The new consensus algorithm

Introducing Hashgraph – a fair and fast, byzantine fault tolerant consensus algorithm. According to the founding Hashgraph team consisting of computer science and cybersecurity pioneers Dr. Leemon Baird and Mance Harmon, the hashgraph consensus method achieves the following notable feats:

It’s fast: 250,000+ transactions per second and limited only by a users bandwidth (Pre-Sharding)
It’s fair: mathematically proven fairness (via Consensus Time Stamping)
It’s secure: bank-grade security (Asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerant)
Why is Hashgraph superior to Blockchain?
