1321  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Bitcointalk Account price calculator on: February 18, 2018, 07:44:52 PM
Been thinking that I'd be the one to do it someday but congrats lol

My Feedback
Like someone said,

The most useful part of that, which you have left out, was the breakdown of posts by activity period and board. Particularly now that the user stats have been disabled on the forum itself.
This and the listing out addresses posted by the account which I used to find very helpful in linking alternate accounts.

How accurate are your SMAS results ? This is a well done feature.
Not a must but it would be better if you could add some responsiveness to the website for the mobile view-ports.
1322  Other / Meta / Re: Joel_Jantsen's Merit Distribution Thread (Newbies Welcome) on: February 18, 2018, 07:33:49 PM

Hi Joel

I once reported a user and his threads were removed too.
I directly reported in mail to moderator and got positive response too (That his started threads were removed).
Will I am eligible for merit, If require I can personally pm that mail as evidence.
I am bit susceptible in publishing in open to avoid any kind to retaliation.
Honestly it's too much of an effort to verify those personal emails as 1.It invades your privacy 2.Time consuming. However,I will do it for now. Please message me with the email content along with the senders email/name so I can have it verified from them.

risk for opposite effect,
wouldnt all the cheaters/abusers create new accounts and start
bumping, spamming and shitposting and then reporting their own alt accounts
1.That is a rare event. Also why do you think someone will take efforts in creating new accounts,bumping-shitposting from them and again create new accounts to report it ? Just for couple of merit points ?

I'll double[1] what Joel gives in merits for a while, to help this initiative.

[1] Max 5 per post, idk how much Joel plans on giving and I only have ~150 left
Thanks a lot for supporting the cause.I will distribute the merit points on case-by-case basis. For instance,a post connecting  10 alt accounts will be given more merit points than that of a connecting 2 Alt accounts.Roughly I'm planning to distribute anything between the scale of 1-10 per post depending on the quality and effort put in.

1324  Other / Meta / Re: Joel_Jantsen's Merit Distribution Thread (Newbies Welcome) on: February 18, 2018, 12:25:17 PM
Thanks for this opportunity. One question for you- are past submissions in those threads also eligible ?
Where else would you submit them ? I don't encourage people opening new threads for  similar topics. If there is something different you wish to report which doesn't fall under above mentioned cases, you can post the link to the report in this thread.

I respect your effort but I don’t think the merit system is made for that. "increase high-quality pots and reduce spam"
Some people might not just  be good at writing high quality posts or maybe they won't get any merits for their post regardless of how constructive it is.In that case, such threads are a nicer way to contribute to the forum and earn merits.

I respect your effort and keenness on the forum but I don’t think the merit system is made for that. "increase high-quality pots and reduce spam"
Someone who is farming and abusing bounties with 50-100+ member accounts doesn't give a fuck about merit system and quality of his posts.

This will motivate users to find abusers, cheaters, report spam, scam etc = less spam and scam.
Accurate. Also thanks for initiating the merit giveaway. Smiley
1325  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to increase your merit ? on: February 18, 2018, 10:52:18 AM
Hi guys,
I wonder how can i increase my merit ?
Thank you so much
You can increase merit by contributing constructively to the forum by writing great posts or following activities as described in this thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2971165.0https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2971165.0
1326  Other / Meta / Joel_Jantsen's Merit Distribution Thread (Newbies Welcome) on: February 18, 2018, 09:22:56 AM
I have been thinking how to utilise my merits in the most constructive way possible and I came up with this idea.

What I will be giving merits for : -

1.Finding Alt accounts on the forum and reporting them in the suggested format in this thread: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III

(Note : Merits will only be given if the connection has solid proof and is accepted by the maintainer of the thread )

• Amount of merits given will depend on the number of accounts successfully reported and your rank.Basically this is ideal for newbies who wish to rank up by contributing constructively to the forum.
                       _______________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________

2.Reporting ICO's/accounts which are using thread bump services and bumping threads in the AltCoin Ann Section: List of Accounts which Needs a Ban [ICO pumping accounts]

(Note : Merits will only be given if the reported account is banned/temporary banned by a forum moderator thereby considering it as a successful report)

• Bonus merit points considering the time and efforts put in to find the shill accounts.
                       _______________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________

3.Reporting accounts abusing the Merit system: Suspected users that are abusing merit 3.0

(Note : Merits will only be given if the reported abuse is verified and accepted by the maintainer of the thread)

• Amount of merits given will depend on the number of abuses successfully reported and your rank.
  _______________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________

4.Reporting spammers/rule breakers/bounty cheaters: List: Spammers, rule breakers and exclusive bounty users

(Note : Merits will only be given if the reported abuse is verified and accepted by the maintainer of the thread)

• Amount of merits given will depend on the number of abuses successfully reported and your rank.

How to claim your merits : -

• Simply report your post in the following format
Code:
Link to your post : [ url ]

(Note : Please don't post links to the relative url's ,all links must redirect to your post which you think is eligible for merit)

What if I run out of merit points to distribute : -

• Ideally,I would expect other members to also give merits to the links posted here so their merits can also be utilised in a way which encourages newbies/members to participate actively in the forum.
• Worst case scenario,I would lock the thread until I have earned enough merit points to begin distributing again.

Prerequisites: -
• Newbies/Jr Members/Member/Full Members are encouraged to participate as you are likely to get good number of merit points of the good work.
• Posting links here doesn't guarantee you will get the merits.Your links should be verified by the maintainers of the thread and result in a successful action. However if I feel you have taken enough efforts in putting things together,I'll merit you anyway.
• Please don't post any reports here. This thread will only serve as a gateway to show your efforts put in a particular thread.I would not analyse reports posted here and there is less chance of you getting merits.
• If you have any doubts or not sure if your post in the above threads are eligible for merits ,post it, I'll check it anyway.

1327  Other / Meta / Re: How to change avatar ? THEYMOS please help ! on: February 15, 2018, 11:21:39 AM
up

1.Stop Bumping your post more than once in < 2 hours.
2.To remove your avatar,go to your profile and without selecting/uploading a new file just press the Upload button.

Edit: Are you able to see the avatar option on your profile ?
1328  Other / Meta / Re: Lauda removed from DT network via 3 exclusions on: February 15, 2018, 07:28:51 AM
So you're letting some idiot with literally no activity but 2 posts in  like a year control the trust list and you don't care? WTF, vod, whose side are you on now? QS's?
Was this dude really on the DT ? You're talking about sides,is that how you took decisions while leaving negative ratings for someone ? Damn,I wonder what criteria DT-1 considers before adding such people on their list.

Awesome move, what about the other guys that QS/OG/TC excluded? not myself, I personally would not want to be DT but some of the other guys did not deserve exclusions.
I don't understand why Blazed added them on the DT list in the first place. Can't blazed rather encourage them to do productive things for the forum such as Finding Alt accounts, reporting spammers and or contributing in the 100 other constructive ways instead of taking the short-cut that is leaving a negative feedback.

Yes I agree Lauda deserves to be there but not anyone else, I don't see anyone going an extra mile to do something good for the forum apart from leaving a negative feedback (which doesn't really help)
1329  Other / Meta / Re: Lauda removed from DT network via 3 exclusions on: February 14, 2018, 10:22:39 AM
its simple, replace the current DT-1 members with the DT-2 members.. then allow the system to do what it is supposed to do, just because the people you set 4 years ago were the right people for the job then doesn't mean they are the right guys to fight the scammers now.
Which boils down to the same point again : Why would I trust some random people as part of my Default-Trust-List ? I'm afraid that you aren't getting the point conveyed by theymos.Goal is to alter the 'centralised ' nature of  the trust network regardless of iteration they follow in the list..
1330  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 2 Bit Coin to anyone who can get my Coins back into my Wallet on: February 14, 2018, 09:54:52 AM
I might have a method. DM me your XMPP or Telegram.
Really ? Might giving us hints about your method ? I might as well try it to retrieve money from other scammers.

@OP,deal with this person at your own risk.Technically speaking, you cannot get money back from an address you have no damn clue about.Of course you can take legal approaches like hiring an investigating team which takes IP details from the exchange and tracks the scammer down but that is unlikely the case here.
1331  Other / Meta / Re: Lauda removed from DT network via 3 exclusions on: February 14, 2018, 09:45:43 AM
Not "a lot", most of them were tagged by other DT members(like ibminer). As for the others, I am sure Quickseller will come up with a good solution to filter them out.
Starting from alt-accounts thread to ICO pumping accounts,I usually see comments from Lauda who investigates the matter and tags the account involved.I don't think ibminer does it on a scale as that of Lauda.

Getting a negative trust was the most looked down thing before the tyranny of Lauda. He(it) was tagging people for their personal opinion too! Red trust was losing its value, it was turning into a cliche.
Maybe you can support such statements with relevant proofs ?Also 1 case out of 100 doesn't count. I don't see how "removing Lauda" is going to restore faith & integrity in the Red trust again.
1332  Other / Meta / Re: Lauda removed from DT network via 3 exclusions on: February 14, 2018, 09:11:17 AM
Out of all the people removed,Lauda was the most deserving person to be there.I hope this somehow settles with only Lauda put back to that list.In terms of forum contribution (without taking negative feedbacks left  into consideration) Lauda does  the most.

A lot of scammers will be roaming free..

1334  Other / Meta / Re: Finally I am a member here after the merit system on: February 14, 2018, 06:42:54 AM
I joined before the merit system was introduced and have got all merit points from members. It feels really nice that I achieved this in short time. I gained the merit points earlier only and was stuck mainly because of activity. I really that all the senior members who noticed my posts and gave me the merits. I also encourage new members not to give up. Reaching the member level is not that hard. If you make those 60 posts with more effort, you will get more than 10 merits for sure.

1335  Economy / Services / Re: Full ICO Development | Promotion | Management | --- *** Available For Hire *** on: February 14, 2018, 06:37:20 AM
Your Ann thread will never leave front page if you use our solution.
Yes that means you will be using Shill accounts for pumping threads which is a intuitive conclusion.I have left you a negative feedback and will ask DT members to do the same. Moreover,I'll be looking into the ICO's operated by your service and if come across pumping accounts,I'll have them reported as well.
1336  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [YoBit] Scammed ETH on: February 14, 2018, 06:32:52 AM
I don't know much about ETH, but I've seen a ton of problems with people depositing ETH to an exchange through or involving a contract. It seems like that only a direct transfer of ETH works for some exchanges.
That is so wrong and so not true.Speaking ideally,
Quote
I don't know much about ETH,
You should not bother posting irrelevant stuff if you don't know enough about the subject.

So I think that there are two possibilities. One is that there is something wrong with your transfer, or b, there is something wrong on yobit's end.
Vague. This isn't helping the context or the OP.Why bother posting anyway ?

OP,transaction is a success from your end as you see it here : https://etherscan.io/address/0x9066983ed905cd6d429aed9574e65ed1ef28ac7a
Problem is likely on  the YoBit's end. There isn't much help for you on the forum since their main account was last active around December. You need Jesus in your life to help this get resolved.
1337  Other / Meta / Re: 50+ merit rewards on: February 13, 2018, 01:57:18 PM
I posted to suggest another possibility. Human nature manifests itself in a variety of forms. Smiley

I believe the answer is to restrict merit awards to a maximun of 2 at a time, or possibly 5, but certainly no more than that.
It would  impact in two ways,
Good Impact : It would stop users from sending fake merits as 50 for single line posts.
Bad Impact : It would allow shit posters to do more one line posts so they can get multiple merits points by their fake senders. This would indeed increase shit-posting on the forum.
1338  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A safe XRP Wallet ? on: February 13, 2018, 01:43:43 PM
2. Binance.com, This is almost known worldwide, whether you choose 1 or 2, both are secure and safe in my opinion
Who said Binance is a wallet ? Binance is an exchange and you should never trust your coins on an exchange wallet. If the wallet gets hacked tomorrow or due to any unforeseen circumstances the wallet goes down, you will lose access to all your coins.
Having said that, there aren't any official wallets for XRP,you can use hardware wallets as suggested above.
1339  Other / Meta / Re: My Account Was Banned (Main Account) on: February 13, 2018, 12:28:11 PM
When I login to my account a while ago there is a message saying.
"Sorry iammichael, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum.
You have been banned by a forum moderator. You may appeal here: banappeals-w6pquw43@theymos.e4ward.com"

I didn't received any warning before so I don't know why I got banned.
How can I remove this ban?

Maybe you start by telling us which account was banned ? Also why are you creating multiple accounts ? This is also your newly created account I believe : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1810129

And no you don't get any warnings if you're caught copy-pasting/breaking other rules of the forum.Let one of the mods give your the accurate reason.
1340  Economy / Services / Re: Looking out for moderators. on: February 13, 2018, 11:07:44 AM
