1261  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Curated blockchain and crypto news on: March 05, 2018, 06:59:34 PM
You sure your Api's are fetching the data from the right sources ?
I can see everything stocked up there but any news related to blockchain/crypto.For instance, this is what I came across
Quote
That doesn't look like news related to the blockchain, does it ? Maybe you should work more on the content part.I'm satisfied with the UI/UX since the design looks very modern and sleek.
1262  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this allowed? is it ethical? indian beggers or just scum bags? on: March 05, 2018, 06:46:48 PM
I have been informed that people send messages to teams of projects I manage in order to offer them to replace me for lower fees.

They told me that they are Hero members+

My question: Is it allowed? is it ethical?
*Indian Beggars* - How did you jump to that conclusion ? Did you took all the incidents into consideration and plotted a doughnut chart which clearly showed all of them were Indians ? I'm curious to understanding how your reasoning works.

It is definitely allowed to prove your 'campaign managers' that they're better than the current manager handling the campaign. If the team doubts your capabilities, they will definitely hire the 'beggars' .It's not anyone's fault if you turn out as a disappointment to the team.Obviously no one in the right mind will replace you if you're coming off with flying colours.

(I personally report stuff to campaign owners if I find the campaign manager isn't doing at good job at forum spam prevention/management)
1263  Other / Meta / Re: Forum API (sort of) question on: March 05, 2018, 03:52:16 PM
Is there a way to get user name and rank having user id without actually webscrapping the data?
Something like an API access if such a thing does exist for this site.
There is definitely no API access. If I was you,I'd maybe work my way around using traditional curl way.If I was feeling lazier to organise stuff using curl,I'd use a selenium web driver Python API to automate the data fetching.Having said that,I'm sure there would be some restrictions on the number of calls you can make due to cloudflair firewall.

Like someone above said,Vod would be able to answer in a more precise way.
1264  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for a Middleman to place hedge bets [High Volume] on: March 05, 2018, 03:37:43 PM
Sorry for delayed replies, been caught up with stuff recently..

This is not a good idea and there is too much room for confusion.  Please be careful when trusting people on the internet
Did you not see the word "escrow" ? Like I said if anyone doubts the credibility,I'm  ready to provide signed messages for holding x amount of funds.

I do believe that Joel knows what he is doing with regard getting an escrow, how escrow with multisig works, and trusting the escrow of their choosing would not be a problem as well. Although, who would be placing the bets? For sure it would be hard to find sportsbooks that bet on chain like the now closed directbet, where you can just use the multisig wallet to place bets. There are some alternatives to directbet but probably not as big and a bit shady to even trust.

Such a large amount though, you might have a problem in terms of getting people to invest that kind of money in a gambling venture.
That is why we are trying to find a middlemen who we could  trust. Not many sports-betting websites based on bitcoin support hedge betting like betfair.

I am confused why this individual doesn't just bet himself directly.
Does he not own any Bitcoins and is worried about BTCUSD losing value which can affect his payout in the end?
Why doesn't he just buy some BTC and sell some as a hedge on Bitfinex or Bitmex?
That is not how sports betting woks...

Probably worried about taxes or something so he wants to bet with BTC, but on a major exchange (such as BetFair) since he's using a large amount of funds.

Gotta define everything very clearly before the deal, especially about BTC to USD escrow value.
1.No..it's not the taxes or anything as far as I'm informed.
2.Sure.Escrow terms mostly would be calculated in USD due to the fluctuating nature of bitcoin.
1265  Economy / Reputation / Re: Can you still believe aTriz words? on: March 01, 2018, 05:42:55 AM
The contract is not void, and there is no chance of it becoming void for a long, long time. It will likely become void if/when I am not Legendary after 3 years, but that remains to be seen. I would advise aTriz not to try and "wriggle out" of the contract, because it puts me in a position where I will be forced to reveal certain things that he has done. If he sticks to the terms of the contract, as stipulated, he is my friend, and he will not be my enemy. Being my enemy is not a very favourable position for anyone to be in. Roll Eyes
That's an extortion attempt...
1266  Economy / Reputation / Re: Can you still believe aTriz words? on: March 01, 2018, 04:10:08 AM
Since I'm trapped in this deal, and I have a feeling that certain members will neg me if I back out of this contract, I've told alia to take of the alu signature and she can do whatever with it.
Like I said before, being a scammer with -256 negative feedback wasn't surely a part of the contract.Paying a scammer on monthly basis for providing a worthless service is not the productive outcome for your money. I don't think you should be tagged because the other party doesn't hold the credibility to stand on the contract anymore.

Edit - I don't think certain members will care about the small details like going over 100 posts. I'll get negged no matter how I leave the contract and my reputation is worth a lot more than 1.1 btc.
You don't get the point here. It's not about 1.1 btc. Can't you see how you have been cornered to pay a scammer ? Mistakes were made but you shouldn't be the one paying for it.Please open a separate thread and see what other community members have to say about it.
1267  Economy / Gambling / Looking for a Middleman to place hedge bets [High Volume] on: February 28, 2018, 07:39:42 PM
Hi,posting a requirement here from one of my clients that I'm working as a developer for. From his exact words,

Quote
Looking for a middleman who would place hedge bets on betting exchanges such as betfair. BTC will be taken and escrowed from all of the parties involved. Minimum amount is 10,000$ with a maximum of 25,000$ looking for at least 100,000$.

We can go with forum escrows such as OgNasty/dooglus/etc (but an escrow with gambling knowledge is preferred)

If you're the one or know someone who is willing to do this, please send me a personal message and from there I'll hook you up with the concerned person. As I'm posting it myself,it is my sole responsibility to take care of the parties involved from my side and  make sure the required amounts are escrowed with a trusted party.

The account was hacked right after the bet was made ? Can you please elaborate more on  the issue ? Why did you lock his account ? Can you give us the IP details from which the withdrawals were made ? I'm looking forward for answers of these questions. Please answer them point wise.

1. Unfortunately no one see you.
2. Where he said that him account is suspension?
3. Many ways to secure password and I think user should be responsible for this. and yes you are right password like 123 is not helping the situation at all.
1.You're an idiot and I don't typically reply to idiots.
2......You don't deserve it.
1269  Economy / Reputation / Re: What if there’s no brother? (Tell me, who had that idea?) on: February 28, 2018, 12:27:02 PM
It's easy to dismiss me as a one month account with red trust. But I am a human being, I am someone who wants to offer my services here and make this forum a better place. I want to prove who I really am via Skype, I want to be interviewed, I want to do whatever it takes to redeem myself. I know that to you guys I'm just the day's entertainment, but to me this is a pretty big deal. I don't want a negative tagged account. I want to make business relationships here
And what makes you think people have time to deal with your bullshit ? For the record, you're no special. You will be treated the same way the forum is been treating scammers. That is,just go away from the forum and don't come back.I'm pretty sure no one is interested in doing any business deals with someone who got tagged by theymos. Sorry to come off as rude but scammers don't deserve empathy. If given to you,it'll be unfair for all the other scammers who went through same shit.Good-Bye.
1270  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why I think User "alia" is a (potential) scammer? User "aTriz" maybe involved! on: February 28, 2018, 07:26:43 AM
In her very first PM to me, Alia said that I must be rich.  I never contradicted this; I let her make her own assumptions.  Only after she required 1.2 BTC from me upfront for a deal I had seen to be profitable, I regrettably had to inform her that I do not have that kind of money to invest.  I really don’t.

My PM inbox got a bit quieter after that...
Aww man..that's a sad story..I mean like I sure don't know you enough but if you want me to message you periodically and talk about stuff like  Whitfield Diffie's Adventures and Shor's algorithm,I'm down for it.  Wink After-all, I don't want our fellow CypherPunk to feel left out as other's have ignored them just because he doesn't have 1.2 BTC.

lol your joking right?

*You are : And do i fucking look like I'm trying to make you laugh ?

the owner of lucky games is at the ICE gambling conference and wont be back till tomorrow. he's been gone for  a week

I give two shits about where he is or what he does.I need a legit explanation for the account suspension of the said user.

lucky games makes so much money. 0.08btc is nothing.

owner will look into it and show all ip data.
Again,it may be nothing to them but certainly something to the customer who apparently lost it.Please stop shilling for them,it is not helping the situation at all.
1272  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why I think User "alia" is a (potential) scammer? User "aTriz" maybe involved! on: February 28, 2018, 07:04:19 AM
The minimum investment has had been set in place in order to give me a better reward for the time I put in. Although, I am no longer accepting new investors anymore, and am stopping the service on this forum entirely.
If I understand nullius's point correctly,he wants to know who are the investors you found on the forum who invested 1.2 BTC in that service ? Since you said you have found investors and are not accepting participants anymore, you should have some sort of proof right ?

Also, hasn't it become a thing now that you open shady threads and once criticised by reputed /high ranked members on the forum you just stop the service ? You did same with your Tax-Crap thread, you tried to argue with others while Rhaver shut you down resulting in that thread being locked (just like your other threads).Shady,Shady as it can get.
1273  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Known BCT accounts of serial scammer/account farmer on: February 28, 2018, 06:39:22 AM
Do you have proofs to support your accusation ? Please post all the relevant data for anyone to take this seriously.
The website indeed looks like a scam. You know a website is not serious about their business when they have copied their Terms and Conditions from another website.

1274  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why I think User "alia" is a (potential) scammer? User "aTriz" maybe involved! on: February 28, 2018, 06:13:17 AM
That Dave's Wallet Recovery exchange was embarrassing, but alia still insists that a Skype interview will exonerate her. I have a sort of script written for the interviewer: PM me if you're a somewhat-notable member and are willing to do it.
You know, they can always ask someone 15 year old kid to be with them on the call and claim that they're favours and their younger brother. Also I find it amusing how a "15" year old can leave a feedback like this on their "elder" sisters account.

I don't know what you'll make of it but as far my opinions while dealing with this account is considered,I would stay away from them.
1275  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why I think User "alia" is a (potential) scammer? User "aTriz" maybe involved! on: February 28, 2018, 05:50:37 AM
This is probably because confirming that she is in fact a 19 year old girl with a 15 year old brother will not prove her innocence. There are still many other issues, that alone would classify her as being very shady and untrustworthy.
Correct.I don't even know why are we investing so much time into another shady account who  hasn't scammed yet but shows the tendency that they might.

Post them here and I will address them one by one
- How many things have you addressed so far ?
 Things you need to "address"
 - Picture of your Dell Xps (Don't bullshit that it's already "sold", pretty sure you didn't give customer 30 minutes delivery ETA just like McD)
 - Picture of your MacBook that is on the sale thread.
 - Your Github account which you claim to have done wonders creating "Erc tokens".And the ICO's link which you say raised some million bucks as you were the part of their team.
 - You said you know the backend algo of a gambling website ,this is a security flaw and should be reported to the owner of the website.Taking advantage of it by ctreating a script is untrustworthy
    behaviour.
 - I find it stupid that in one post you claim 'money is not a problem for you' and in the second you are selling verified fake paypal accounts for 60 bucks.Like do you think we are idiots  around here ? Go   away from the forum!
1276  Other / Meta / Re: I HATE YOUR SIG CAMPAIGN, ALL OF THEM on: February 27, 2018, 08:38:19 PM
I wish we could get rid of them all. I hate the stupid huge banner when I'm reading. I hate the stupid posts and stupid threads written just to get sig views. I hate having to scroll down past them. I hate having them on the screen, blasts of useless eyecatching colors in between the posts I want to read. I hate having to try and decide if the poster is stupid, ignorant, in need of help, or just trying to earn a few satoshis.
 I hate hate HATE them.
Ban them all.
Forever.
If anything else, this was a very poor attempt of getting some merits. Undecided

If you're serious,it seems like you have taken bitcointalk too personally and kept it as your only source of information/infotainment.If it's causing you depression, please leave the forum and look for better places to read beautifully crafted posts.

@LuckyGames : I demand that you give this user a better explanation why his account was suspended after stealing his funds. Please note : I'm not your random gambling whining dude who you would just shut up with feeding some random bullshit. If this situation doesn't work out well,I'll be obliged to ask more DT members to tag your account and will investigate further to assist the user in filing a lawsuit under the legislation your casino is based in.
1278  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why I think User "alia" is a (potential) scammer? User "aTriz" maybe involved! on: February 27, 2018, 08:12:34 PM
My suspicions will strengthen if anyone who gambled with them tells me the name of the gambling site.

I gambled with Alia.  She did not tell me the name of the site, and I didn’t ask.
Doesn't help the situation.Anyhow, the reason I insist knowing the website is because she claimed she knows the algorithm and hence came up with a strategy with can effectively 'beat it'.This is a security flaw for the gambling website and could land the house big loses if their system has been beaten because apparently the source code for the algo is accessible to someone unauthorised and they're misusing it openly!

I respect your privacy though. Smiley

EDIT : Reddit Post where a deleted account posts an nude which has a comment from another user alia with same contact details http://archive.is/eT0zY [NSFW]
As pointed out by ibminer, here's archive of a post where the user revback asking a fake id proof with the name alia armelle : http://archive.is/eT0zY
1279  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 27, 2018, 08:06:41 PM
For me personally this is not a good decision for people to give out merits. I'm over 60 activity now and have 0 merits. How many people will be able to progress this way, i mean relatively new accounts with lower ranks? Giving merit to someone is very subjective, i could do wonderful and elaborate posts and yet still have 0 merit. You'd better consider the old way of accumulating merits. I need to get upgraded to member.
That simply means merit system is unfair and so is life.I'm actually glad merit system is going to teach you kids real life survival techniques when exposed to sadistic corporate life.Besides that, why do you need a rank update ?
 - Is it a necessity ? NO
 - Does that make you feel good ? NO
 - Does it help you get paid from signature campaigns ? YES! And this is why the system is doing wonders.

P.S. I'm registered since last summer, I would appreciate if you show me some love (merits)
The number one rule of the merit system,
 - Don't beg for merits. (you just did and I hope you wouldn't repeat it since it may land you a negative feedback)

Got a tax question - I'm in Singapore where capital gains are not taxed. If someone in the US sold their coins here, would they need to pay capital gains tax? Thank you

 Shocked
Exactly and the same thread created here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3024236.msg31136372#msg31136372 I'm watching how this turns out and have started investigating other details such as the gambling website they claim to know the backend algorithm for. (I assume it's YoloDice for some reason) My suspicions will strengthen if anyone who gambled with them tells me the name of the gambling site.
