1861  Other / Meta / Re: Regarding the Google Captcha added today when logging here on: August 14, 2017, 07:02:16 PM
IIRC SolveMedia can be abused very easily by bots, or at least more than reCaptcha can. I think that reCaptcha is the best solution currently.
Technically, there are no solutions, just precautions. In the coming days,Google Captcha will be solved by the bots anyway.
The feature is good on the security side but makes the process irritating that you have to put captcha everytime you log out of the account.I wonder when is the new forum coming into practice if the developments are still continued on this one.

1862  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Btctalk user is using a traffic generator bot (several thousand PV per hour) on: August 14, 2017, 06:55:41 PM
Nice catch!
I don't know how relevant are bitcointalk's views but definitely those seem like link building with the bots. The account sparksi definitely needs a ban and the thread be moved -> trashcan.
The ICO is a scam as well,no point in keeping the thread alive .
1863  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Price Tracker on: August 14, 2017, 06:48:22 PM
Hello All,
We have developed a chrome extension to track Bitcoin prices and set rules to watch price movements! Now never miss an opportunity to buy bitcoins at the best rate. View the Bitcoin price in your favorite currency.

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/bitcoin-price-tracker/fpkhlnacfhciopipcjpcjmkpldbogaeo

Example rules:
  • Notify me when Bitcoin price drops by 100 points in 30 minutes.
  • Notify me when Bitcoin price rises above 4000 USD

Install the FREE extension now!

Nothing's free.Everything comes for a cause.
I'm against strange chrome extentions anyway because that is the simplest way to do various vulnerable activities or manipulate user data. The code should have been on github to verify the authenticity of the code.
I wouldn't advise installing the extension.

Anybody with those links from Sir Andreas Muller can claim to be the same person.Do you have any concrete proofs that you actually are the author ? Maybe write a gist file on your github to show you own that github account ? I mean you can come up with any legit ways to prove the ownership ?
With all due respect,I like the book.
1865  Economy / Reputation / Re: A list of people trying to sell accounts, Potentially hacked/bought accounts. on: August 14, 2017, 06:13:40 PM
Just listing a potentially bought account.
Although the account woke up from sleep since 2016,I'm listing them here since they're started to show tendencies of a scammer during their first few posts. Also,I've strange feeling they're connected to Engg.Chakks.No connected address found as for now but anyway I'm putting them here for reference.

Account : BaraxLo

Coinomi have a really good team that made a good product. I do believe that in year to come Coinomi wallet might be even most used crypto wallet. This was a really good choice.
Do they give access to your private keys ? I doubt it.
Also they have their IOS app in the development phase since forever!Anyway that's the only choice for a wallet that supports multiple coins with Exodus which is only desktop.
1868  Economy / Exchanges / Re: May I use Poloniex public API data for my own (public) charting platform? on: August 13, 2017, 05:38:26 PM
I need the live data from the exchanges, so far I don't know any other way, do you know an alternative?
There is literally no other alternative if you only need live data from the exchanges. To explain it further, here's a quote from bitcoin's stack exchange

Quote

Each site has its own set of apis and documentation, I don't think it's likely that you'll find a single site with a complete set of APIs.

Here are some links to get you started:

btc-e.com/api/documentation
bter.com/api
coinbase.com/api/doc
www.cryptsy.com/pages/api
www.virwox.com/developers.php
Hope that answers your question. You can always start your own exchange and then use the API however you want.
1869  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎉 Bitcasino.io – a whole new gaming experience has arrived! Fun. Fast. Fair. 🎉 on: August 13, 2017, 05:29:37 PM
So I played with bitcasino every so often as you can see here never had any issues before with them with LARGE amounts:

DEPOSITS:

https://i.gyazo.com/ac5364620d68f67eec7fbae80a8e8e1d.png
https://i.gyazo.com/5184f7155f6935f7be3ae00fb4469616.png

WITHDRAWALS:
https://i.gyazo.com/234ab12b74749b9b77e04722c6eb338f.png

As you can see I played large amounts and been able to withdraw without any problems

HOWEVER; I saw that there was a 100% deposit bonus only had to play 5x over which is awesome.

Or so I thought.

I deposited .015 and ended with .02422 not bad.

Tried withdrawing and notice it was taking long. I then contacted live chat support and was told my account is under review for abusing bonus and claiming I was multi accounting.

Really? Are you fucking kidding me?

Then I get a KYC request for .02422

Becareful with their new promotions; its bait. It seems the new site/bonuses theyre offering is leading to exit scams

Despite it being a small amount I will not be scammed and will do what I can so they can face the consequences. This is just plain BULL.

Im a god damn VIP, have deposited large amounts and withdrawn large amounts before without any issues until now.

Be careful with their bullshit.

Give me my money immediately and close my account I will NEVER play here again.

(Quoting your post for reference)

-> Please open a scam accusation against them here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0
-> They're famous cheaters in in the gambling scene and known scammers. You should avoid playing there henceforth and it's been repeated several times.
-> Spread the word to your follow gamblers to NOT deposit a satoshi here.
1870  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Escrow Guide on: August 13, 2017, 05:25:42 PM
Hey Everyone,

Just wondering since I've never escrowed before I would like/need to in the future. Is there a guide on how to escrow somewhere around here?

Thanks
The guide is simple, check the reputation of a member before using them as an escrow.Reputation just doesn't mean the green feedback's but total forum contribution. If you find some escrow service interesting, make sure you open a thread about them and see if the community suggests you to hire them as an escrow.Personally, avoid third party websites as much as possible.Hire an escrow depending on your trade. An escrow who deals with good wouldn't turn out to be as reliable if the trade goes wrong involving a script.

I would be very careful with forum escrow as multiple of them have ripped off users.
Avoid users with negative feedbacks like him.
1871  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: WhitePaper - Blockchain Open Transaction System on: August 13, 2017, 05:10:35 PM
Someone would be available for creation of your whitepaper only if your ideas are clear. The description you have mentioned above isn't enough to know your concept. If English isn't your native language, please get a paper written in your native language and then get it converted in English.
If you need any help on developing the platform or just to know if and buts, don't mind sending me a PM.
1872  Other / Meta / Re: Can't Access this forum. on: August 13, 2017, 05:06:14 PM
I am accessing this forum for a while now but I can't. I've been welcomed by a lot of bad gateway, I look at a site to know if this forum is down and it is. Is there any problem about the site? Or maybe an upgrade like the badges last time?
After scaling bitcoin,I think its time for theymos to make the forum scalable as well.Takes time to open pages, post replies and viewing larger threads.Being facing the issue since a long time now.Don't remember this happening a year back. It's definitely the rise in traffic in the last few months.
1873  Economy / Exchanges / Re: May I use Poloniex public API data for my own (public) charting platform? on: August 13, 2017, 03:53:59 PM
After I started to trade cryptos instead of the "normal" Forex market I noticed that there are some tools I'm missing here. So I started programming them on my own, using the exchanges API's.
Those API's will never give you full access. They're limited.Personally,it's a bad idea to rely on their API's if you wish to write your own product.

My question is now if I'm allowed to publish these tools (as a website).
I've read the terms of Poloniex which (in section 7) state that I need written permission from Poloniex IF I got this part right. (English is not my native language and I don't know that much about copyright)
I asked their support about this more than a week ago but still didn't receive an answer (propably a lot going on right now with Bitcoin Cash and so on) so I thought I'd ask what you guys think about this before I continue to work on this platform.
You can continue to use their API for whatever tools you want to make.I don't think they have a problem with that.Ofcourse until you're running your own exchange based on their API which is not a possible case here I suppose.
1874  Other / Meta / Re: Donation Titles... 50 and 10BTC on: August 13, 2017, 03:37:49 PM
I like your ideas hilariousetec. How about "contributor"?
That is fine but I don't think forum needs funds anymore to support the payment for the servers or the new forum to be developed (since a lot of money is already invested into that) and for regular expenses forum adds are enough.
If someone that deserves to get paid are moderators which I believe are not paid as much as they're suppose to be.So yes contributors amount could be completely dedicated to the forum mods.

1876  Economy / Services / Re: I need a C++, java programmer for Bitcoin LCD ticker (0.025 BTC) on: August 13, 2017, 11:38:00 AM
Experienced C++/Java programmer here.I can complete the following task for you.
I'm kinda insecure about payments after the job is done so do you mind escrowing the payment ? Having said that,I'm pretty sure I can complete the job. Smiley Sent you a PM as well.
1877  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM][SPAM] User "bitcoinicon" selling corrupted Bitcoin wallet on: August 08, 2017, 06:27:57 PM
Well you seem to be the one that is not familiar with the law, not me. I have the means to get to where you are no matter what it takes.
Right now, you're the one with -8 negative feedback for scamming, stealing bitcoins, cheating and promoting a potential scam all over the internet. What makes you think the law will work in your favor ? The place where I'm from, you could go to jail for several years if in your position at the moment.
1878  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM][SPAM] User "bitcoinicon" selling corrupted Bitcoin wallet on: August 08, 2017, 05:20:13 PM
Thank you, I have already refunded one of the buyers and have three left to go. I have already deleted the wallet from my laptop and sever in a fit of anger so cant post it but I'm sure the guy that made the thread that everyone was trying to get the wallet from has it. I'm more than happy to do the video for educational purposes and will do so.
And you left me 2 negative retaliatory feedbacks ? You think you can really take me to the court from across 7 seas ? What  are you going to tell the judges ? That you were dumb enough to get duped by a 12 year old who sold you fake wallet lol ? Cool bro.
1879  Other / Meta / Re: How many accounts can a person have? on: August 08, 2017, 04:36:04 PM
This is also same question I am loking for answer since my brother also planning to join this forum. Thanks to all who give answer. By the way, I have a friend of mine who try registering here and found her ip having abussive history and need to pay 40k sat in order to join. I think that is because she is using vpn maybe the ip provided by vpn ussually abused.
Yes because she is using one of those free VPN services which distribute the same IP's previously used for evil purposes such as botting or anything against the forum rules. She can just use her regular ID or a secure openVpn connection.
1880  Other / Meta / Re: why cannot become junior member? on: August 08, 2017, 02:11:42 PM
You once become a newbie and if you didn't reach this kind of ignorance then good for you mate, just stop spreading the hate that you are feeling towards the thread it is bad for your health. Understand everybody and never mind the negativity.
This is not a Yoga Practice session mate. You don't repeat the questions asked over 100 times in the same section and 10 stickies explaining how it works.People just choose to open threads instead of putting efforts to search for answers in the appropriate sections.
