1621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you desperately looking for exchanges to dump your altcoins on: October 21, 2019, 06:53:15 PM
I am actually desperately in your club on this. A lot of coins we thought would be great are now shit. What really pains the most is that their prices are now over 95% below their prices when I decided to hodl them.
While I am no longer investing in icos on those days in which I did I thought the same as you, I thought the coins in which I invested were destined to make it big and I will be participant of that process, but if very investor thinks the same of each coin then we are bound to end disappointed, also a costly lesson that I learned is that there are very few coins worthy of our investment and even fewer coins worthy of being held for the long term, so if you are still holding some coins because you hope they will recover it is better to sell them now before you are unable to do it.

If the coins are still in the big exchanges and still have huge amount of volume, it may not be a good idea anymore when we finally see randoms pumps going on. The ones OP mean that you want to dumps are the ones they earn from bounty campaigns which to tokens are not listed on any exchanges.

I did earn few tokens while I join bounty since 2018, its not a profitable year even today to join bounty campaigns because projects weren't even listed to DEXes like they refuse to do so. If you still have the coins, its practically worthless, you might just leave it on your wallet to remind how crazy this 2017 bullrun had turned out.
1622  Economy / Economics / Re: The 2nd generation of banking is going digital on: October 21, 2019, 06:41:15 PM

Looks very desperate attempt for banks to once again be relevant in crypto age. During the first years of crypto, we have already learned that owning a wallet means you are your own bank, you don't need a 3rd party to watch over your funds. You don't need any of the services but can make transactions to whom you wanna make deals.

2nd generation banking is just not ideal now. The banks had made it very uncomfortable for its customers for a long time but now that something has come up, they wanna grab attention to offer new that is still outdated.
1623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN ETHEREUM KEEPS DISAPPOINTING on: October 21, 2019, 06:30:49 PM

It will continue to disappoint your even after the ETH 2.0 this January. It may appear like you earning when you stake your coins but still it doesn't solve the scalability of it. ETH would have to make a transition to web3 which might just be replacing solidity with a more advance language - I'm not sure about this too but the point is that the transition will once again cause the massive bear market for it.
1624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine President a pro-cryto president on: October 20, 2019, 05:07:19 PM
Volodymyr Zelensky is not the sole pro-Bitcoin politician in Ukraine. A few months back, the Ukrainian parliament (Verkhovna Rada) made it mandatory for the lawmakers to reveal their cryptocurrency holdings. One of the MPs declared that he holds BTC465 in his wallets, which is worth more than $4 million. A few of the other lawmakers also revealed that they hold cryptocurrency. As per the affidavits, Oleksandr Urbansky owns BTC2,492 and Dmitry Belotserkovets holds BTC398. And the most surprising case is that of MP Dmitri Golubov. He declared that he is holding a massive BTC8,752 in his wallets (worth around $80 million). In total, 57 officials declared that they own Bitcoin.

That's very interesting. Provide us a link to it. This is going to be a good country for crypto. Officials are revealing how much BTC they own, this is very revealing. I wouldn't be surprise if the officials in the neighboring countries also own some BTCs too so are they declaring these on their Statements of Assets and Liabilities?

The reason for rushing the legalization is perhaps to collect tax from them all.  Cheesy
1625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine President a pro-cryto president on: October 20, 2019, 04:28:37 PM

Looks so young for a president but its good to see more politicians are considering cryptocurrency and he is rushing to legalize it - what drives him? We don't see much of them open for this revolutionary digital currency and if the legal council he has includes economist, he must be aware what cryptocurrency can do to a country's economy.

Not seeing projects from that country though, most of what I see was from Estonia. Slovakia as well which is pretty close to Ukraine.
1626  Other / Meta / Re: Why don't you stop SPAMMERS yourself, admins? #RaiseYourVoice on: October 20, 2019, 04:14:58 PM

This idea is not practical and have too many loop holes. Rules should be precise so that they cannot be challenged.

"Report to moderator" function is already there for such type of users. If you see a shit posts in gambling section, press that button.

There's your option right there. The button.

BTC casinos specifically target the gambling section because its where the traffic are from for them to make money out of it. That is the purpose of this marketing campaign they are doing. Don't get those guys under your skin, its what they do. If they can't buy an advertising spot in the forum, campaign is probably cheaper option for them than just buying an ad here.
1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst Day of My LIFE - Dice on: October 20, 2019, 03:28:57 PM
now you are going to lose a friend and you might have an enemy out of it, because no one wants to lend to a gambler because, there's no guaranty or time frame for payment, but anyway good luck.

as a borower you have the right to use the money on anything even on gambling and as a lender its not thier business anymore to ask if what will be the purpose of those loans but as long as you both agree on the terms and condition   .  loaned money should be payed on the deadline , if not he can accuse the lender or increase his interest  .  i think even if he dont pay it , he wont loose his friend because his friend will understand the reason  . if he is a real true friend

His friend can only hold his collateral. But I don't think there won't be confrontation if he can't pay on the agreed date. He can pay gradually if they can agree again for it. Money can turn friends into strangers and have a first hand experience with that, I paid all that I owe, shake hands but it was never that kind of friendship again. Its good to just meet this friend not too often because you will be missed over time, offer beer for oldtimes sake and maybe that will bring back.

Quote
Worst Day of My LIFE - Dice
OP, Looks like this loss is nothing to do with a bad day.  Looks like you did a lot of mistakes here. Have you heard of this Chinese proverb?

"If you must play, decide upon three things at the start: the rules of the game, the stakes, and the quitting time."

First of all, you shouldn't have borrowed money to Gamble. You should always gamble with what you have extra and afford to lose. Next, you shouldn't have used the Martingale strategy on Dice. That's a dumb decision to do. Martingale strategy on dice may give good returns in shorter format but in the long run, will end up in hefty loss. Third, you didn't know when to quit. You should have quited when you made 200$ or when you had a small loss. Forth, you let your emotions play. Never let your emotions to play while gambling.

Lastly, don't take target link's advice, find a better way to pay back your friend.

LOL Well you are part of a signature campaign, I guess you will have to work hard for it to repay a friend. Or you can gamble again and hope for the best. You'd gonna have to give a believable story to your friend to give you a grace period. Hope you won't end up losing this valuable friendship, having a friend ready to loan $1600 is hard to find.
Suggesting to clear a gambling debt with more gambling! What is wrong with you?  What if he loses again?

Don't judge me, I ain't judging you giving him a strategy on how to play. What I just told him is just an option to what he could do. But in the end I'm still concern how it would be for him and his friend to come to terms with this loan and I truly hope he can repay his friend. Believe it or not there is no way we can stop him from betting especially because he also stays in crypto where gambling is usual. It all depends to him so take a deep breath and relax.

1629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🍌 🦍 EosKong - provably fair EOS game 🍌 on: October 20, 2019, 06:16:56 AM

I can't find EosKong in any of the dapps list, its not really sure whether this is legit.

Often times in EOS, the token are for holders to get dividends but it should also be allowed to use to bet which they are not actually allowing it. So you will be left just dumping the tokens when you lose interest.

Casino's similar like bitkong.com there's press to prove official by Bitkong? of you just get a reference through idea bitkong?
We're waiting for some press like whitepaper or press annoucement to make sure these project ICO have seriously action.

Learning that it looks like Bitkong is a sign, this is a warning to players.

1631  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency and Remittences on: October 20, 2019, 04:22:26 AM

Why is the Libra dream dead? (Which I hope it is.)

Maybe because it's backers are withdrawing from the project and Facebook's prime market US doesn't like Libra's concept.
For the use of remittance, bitcoin could still be a good option. Though it's fee seems large for small transactions, it's much better than swift fees or western union fees for sending remittance. There are other options like lightning network or the BEP2 token from binance but it would depend on the parties involved more than the choice of currency.

Thank you. Yeah, I just read that all of their partners are backing away from it. I just don't trust facebook so I'm glad.

Not all actually. I think only less than half of the members of their association have left out of heavy nudges by the governments. But it is enough for the others to lost interest in pursuing what they have started, at least for now. So far, I would conclude that the dream of the team will remain to be a dream, far from reality. There is no reason for them to force themselves into the market which is showing signs of repugnance to it.

Nothing so far has been said from the Libra association yet whether they will disassociate each other because of what is happening. I can only think of the lobbyist  facebook had hired to make some negotiations. One congress has expressed his support already for Libra, this is a sign that they may really be continuing what was planned.

There seem to have two parties not wanting facebook to pursue though, One is the crypto community itself and the government which they could easily come to terms. For crypto community, they can ignore all of us once they are approved. That's the only we can do but of course we can still convince the mass not to use libra.

1632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A million altcoins on: October 20, 2019, 04:04:41 AM

I only see few projects that are going to die, these are scam team and teams who won't continue to develop the project. And the reason why they may not continue the project is because their funds run out. This couldn't really happen to projects doing ICO in the past years if the team are managed wisely which could the platform they use could be involve. Those teams hasn't sought this out before particularly the team developing under the ethereum flagship.

This is why teams these days are preventing the drain of money out of their hands by not distributing the bounty tokens until the bullrun they expect comes.
1633  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Union Bank and bitcoin on: October 19, 2019, 05:58:41 AM

Cheers to unionbank.
1634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early investors and adopters backing out or losing their hope is a warning sign. on: October 19, 2019, 05:40:15 AM

Well times have changed, during those time less people are accumulating BTC thru trading. This time institutions are joining to accumulate we can expect extreme volatility but it also give you a chance to profit and accumulate just like what they are doing. The technology that Jared loves are the ones we also cherish today. I say he should not wait forever til that 50k XRP of him to fully blowup, it doesn't matter if he loses its the technology that matters.
1635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ton has big problems? on: October 19, 2019, 04:55:58 AM
Didn't they raise a TON of money?

It will just be a battle for them til finally the regulators give up and they can just give a load of cash for them like blockone did. All these hears can be cancelled and they can talk about money without even papers to sign.  I really think that if this isn't overlyhyped, the projects wouldn't be checked by SEC at all.
1636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UPDATE CW at conference in London WTF? SCANDAL!!! What really happened? on: October 19, 2019, 04:39:25 AM
It is really unfortunate to see fights like these, grow up and have the patience to listen to everyone, if they want to walk out they can do that rather than having a fight so the entire world could watch, there is huge population outside who does not understand what is going on nor invested in the crypto market and all they see is two or three factions fighting out in the public which will not help anyone.

The people that get listened to are those with the biggest platforms. That's why banks now control the development of our once precious currency.

If indeed he is the real Satoshi do you think forking their own coin helps?

This guy is a blatant lie and he will have to pay for it. There is no faction here, its him that create a faction. What he is doing is exactly the opposite of what satoshi did in the past, you can't expect that to happen when the Satoshi swear to disappear butt Craig came close to declare he is superman.
1637  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why is Turkey attacking the Kurds? Potential WW3? on: October 19, 2019, 04:13:53 AM
There were no potential World War III. USA is going out of Syria. Turkey attacking the Kurds were approved and plan by Russian, Iran and Syria to forced the Kurds to leave their false dream of having their own country and to rejoin Syria. Syrians and cannot attack the Kurds because USA would defend them but Turkey can. Because they are part of NATO and Turkey hold a very strategic area and USA can't just ditched them.

After fighting along side with them for years with US and Turkey they are not seeing Kurds as theat to them?  When it comes to preserving country men everything worse than murder is going to be justified. Those Kurds butchered everyday and they can't even let them passby their area to seek asylum somewhere since they badly need it. Is it JUST to leave them butchered by the ISIS?
1638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is not a Chinese Exchange on: October 19, 2019, 04:01:10 AM

Its founded in China what else could you think that exchange is besides it s Chinese exchange. A lot of people hate Chinese I get it. But I wouldn't expect a Chinese company will deny being Chinese, we don't normally see that because they take pride of it.

Is this for tax that Binance will really be denying it being Chinese exchange?

1640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra Just Got Its First Major Supporter in Congress on: October 18, 2019, 07:00:48 PM

That's one point for Libra. We need more people in the government who will support crypto or we will be seeing US exchanges closing everytime.
Its very true the pushbacks is really not healthy for innovation when we see this kind of projects are certainly what people need. When we oppose libra development are also blocking the new progress which we look forward to when it comes to adoption.
