1541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to get EOS Wallet for Free? on: November 02, 2019, 02:54:25 PM
If you wanna receive EOS first then just go to an exchange like binance, generate your EOS wallet, it comes along with a memo and then start receiving EOS. You can then install and EOS app wallet where you can deposit your coins to activate it. There are lots of it so search it on google play. Basically its not a free wallet for you will need a coin there for your RAM, CPU and net.
1542  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance to Open Beijing Office Amid China’s Renewed Blockchain Push on: November 02, 2019, 12:44:08 PM

Well its about time. The company has been known to hire Chiense individuals as their CEO is Chinese so its about time they go establish on their own soil. If China will support the wide use of blockchain then it would make sense to house a big well known exchange for traders. Will they also be open for US exchanges to settle on Beijing?  Chinese market is big, its going to be an opportunity outside exchanges to come in.
1543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Did China Dominate Bitcoin? on: November 02, 2019, 10:08:37 AM
The Bitcoin whitepaper was released in English, how did the Chinese get sointerested ahead of others that they dominate mining of bitcoin?

I get the impression that you mean Chinese doesn't learn how to read english  Cheesy

China had been manufacturing  graphic cards since companies who does product graphic cards invest in China laborers. The Chinese took advantage of the products and mine BTC when Graphic cards can still mine BTC.  They were also producing Asic devices as well after it. They dominate it all because its just how things work now.
1544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People are to be blame for what happened to them on the internet on: November 02, 2019, 10:03:17 AM
They are not naive actually. Most of them technically are part of the scam. They are even racing to be first to register so they can take advantage as the top in the hierarchy. They often see these as an opportunity though so whenever something like of a doubler or a pyramid scheme comes out, they always wanted to be the first so they can get more money. It takes more than months before the scam opportunity will stop on their own and everyone will be a victim of scam. All them claimed to have been scam when they are all part of it.
1545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: !!! THE MOST EXCITING NEWS TODAY !!! FOR YOU ??? on: November 02, 2019, 08:54:38 AM
I am amazed how asian cryptocurrencies are growing after Xi Jinping statement. Did he really mean to support cryptocurrencies? I think they do not understand at all and therefore he wants to support the development of blockchain industry only.  Roll Eyes

Accepting cryptocurrencies itself as a real thing is a good sign that MAY they'll support it in the future.

Xi Jinping didn't support cryptocurrency specifically, he only said he wants blockchain to be adopted. The Chinese government is going to release their own coin we are yet not sure whats it for but certainly they told the media that is a national cryptocurrency.

One most exciting things that is happening right now is that some of the countries also expresses interest in adopting blockchain. Who knows we'd see few years later digital yuan will also be on our phone wallets.
1546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea discuss the possibility to give crypto a legal status on: November 02, 2019, 06:46:44 AM

I also do not want to be taxed from crypto and I sure hope my government will not take action as for now but if they will eventually do it, I will comply.

Your government had been planing it since last year, there were plenty of time for you to prepare for it and probably save some money to pay for your tax when invoice come. If you earn from it, then its fair to give back. I don't think a petition will help for not paying tax is like cheating the government.
1547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Stellar (XLM) do it again ? on: November 02, 2019, 06:01:09 AM

The community prefer the stellar when its compared to XRP although its price isn't close to XRP's, its still a better investment when you buy at low price. If you mean do it again like bullrun's price, I'm sure it will do, probably even moon up to more than $2 but this is also just a thought. All coins are going up when bullrun happens and this is because most of the coins rely to BTC price.
1548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of Crypto? on: November 01, 2019, 05:23:39 PM

If the government will have bank of crypto as planned, its only to see how much people have move their wealth to crypto and tax them. They will probably not let you physically get into this bank unless you have fully paid your tax and that means they will have to learn your wallet addresses.  Imagine sending a ransom money to let you login to you wallet and this will recur every year.
1549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coming Soon: China's Own Cryptocurrency on: November 01, 2019, 04:57:07 PM
I know that some will be arguing that what China is cooking right now is not actually a real cryptocurrency due to its centralized and state-controlled nature. But what the heck, China is the next world superpower and it is seeing the vision of using cryptocurrency to further its entrenched economic position all the world.

I am seeing a great potential of this coming state cryptocurrency to be utilized in transacting business with China or in eCommerce department, and this is a huge potential. Jack Ma must already be thinking something how to exploit this great opportunity.

Are you seeing what I describe here? China is conquering the globe without using any sword...
If China also quickly continues to develop in the same direction and can correctly apply new technologies associated with cryptocurrency, it will overtake the United States and become a world leader.

The trade war continues but this time this will be in the different dimension like blockchain world. If both of them just keep manipulating their currency, this time in blockchain the transparency will show which of them manipulates all the time. If they kept printing their bills all the time to shrink debts, minting coins in blockchain will be shown. Is US prepared to show transparency?
1550  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Top 5 Cryptocurrency TA Indicators on: November 01, 2019, 04:12:41 PM
The article doesn't even said anything how to use this Volatility-calibrated ATR.
When you started to try to find out which of the indicators are more effective to use, you start digging information from the limited access to it. Volatility-calibrated ATR tutorial would be probably good, I know he said he isn't going pretend to know the ins and out of it but do we know how to use it?
1551  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you have to sell bitcoin to an alt, so... on: November 01, 2019, 04:02:54 PM
You already have Monero and ETH, they are both very different when it comes to its properties.  But they are good investment if you have the the funds to hold a lot of them. Monero will keep you steps ahead when the IRS creeps around to crypto holders buying it on DEX right now will be best to do than on centralized exchange.

32 ETH is a good number to hold for now til you learn what's waiting for ETH in the coming fork. Experts says 32ETH will allow you to participate in staking. For the 3rd coin NANO I guess would be one. You done your research. Keep more of the BTC in your portfolio though.
1552  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-26] The IRS is warning thousands of cryptocurrency holders to pay taxes on: November 01, 2019, 03:15:19 PM
Why would anyone in their right mind share something like that with some clerk.
Let's say you answer "no" to that question. A couple of years down the line, the IRS are successful in their push to get Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini, Binance, etc. to hand over all their customer details. They find out you lied, and did indeed own and use bitcoin in 2019, and you lied on your tax return. Do you think they are going to be sympathetic? No chance. They are going to try to string you up as an example to everyone else.

That's more of a Halloween story.
These exchanges are sure going to be seize by the government if they really will crack down all of the cryptocurrency owners. If you just hold few coins in there I guess its something you can afford to pay. When later they find out you have no activity to the accounts you have in the exchanges, they will probably start creeping into you. Is Mexico, Brazil or Venezuela a good idea also?
1553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: majority of blockchain project has lost focus on: October 31, 2019, 06:10:57 PM
We're pretty close to adoption already hang on.   Wink

you are wrong about multiple things here.
- the fact that a lot of shitcoins exist and a lot of projects are scamming people has nothing to do with the technology. it is like saying the technology that created vehicles had a motive to kill people because car accidents are common!

- investors are not losing confident. investors never touched altcoins in firsts place, the huge volumes you saw in 2017 was from "gamblers" not investors. and since gamblers always lose they eventually go away.

Totally agree with this. Its like drugs that is invested to cure but are now used to cure boredom and get high by people who has something else in mind.

I didn't know the money flow last 2017 was from gamblers though. Must be a long process to distinguish the funds were coming from gamblers and not from institutional investors.
1554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: VX Coin | ViteX - Powered by Vite on: October 31, 2019, 04:45:52 PM

I'm not sure if this is overly hyped project but they are making a noise in the forum. But probably because a team member is also from a big project.
What is the purpose of the Vitex coin while you also have the VX coin, there are two coins already for this exchange. What plans do they have for this exchange to have real volume?

There are only one coin named: ViteX coin, also named VX. I think what you are talking is the same coin.

I'm sorry. I did searched it again and found out its VITE token and another VX coin. That's two. I found out here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5170304.0
which they distribute VITE tokens to bounty hunters and then they also have the native coin which is the VX as said here in this thread.

Are they two different projects or two different coins for one exchange project?
1555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the single most influential person in Bitcoin? on: October 31, 2019, 03:50:57 PM

The single more influential person in Bitcoin is no other than Satoshi Nakamoto! Alive or dead, real or fake, individual or group, Satoshi is still on top as the most influential person in Bitcoin.

That's absolutely true, the mere debate about what Satoshi might have meant with this or that old post is really fascinating, given that Bitcoin isn't about what its creator wanted but what is actually the most useful for a maximum of people.

I originally posted the question because I wanted to learn who people perceive as the real-world person with the most impact on the future of Bitcoin. It's very subjective, yes, but the fact that there is no consensus (haha!) about this question makes Bitcoin so special.

Yes, Satoshi Nakamoto remains to be the most influential person/people not just in Bitcoin but also in cryptocurrency as a whole. Imagine a name, which is but a mere pseudonym, that may not even be representing a real person at all, being discussed all over the world. The last words this person/people released were more or less a decade ago and yet they were still discussed and debated until now. Simple words such as "I don't have time" and "I'll have to move on" are still pondered on and studied until now. And even the likes of Andreas, Novogratz, CZ, and the rest are influenced by this name above anything or anybody else.

I only followed few people in crypto was also Novo and Toni Vays podcast which I think are good influential people in crypto that could represent for the community. Toni vays is a finance analyst and knows bitcoin well too. I didn't know Andreas until today but I have listened to his podcast LTB on youtube, if I know he was that popular I could have followed that channel too. I just subscribed right now.

1556  Economy / Economics / Re: Africa - Hidden Treasure for the world and bitcoin on: October 31, 2019, 12:33:59 PM

Blame it to the country that is backing these corrupt government officials. There is an election to these African countries but most of the time the officials who won are the ones that really are corrupt and this has been going on to poor countries. It will took them centuries to finally see the truth they are lied and manipulated believing EU had helped them. For bitcoin and blockchain to be able to help, they wold have to fix the government first otherwise it will still be mess.
1557  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you guys think about the death cross ? on: October 31, 2019, 11:57:41 AM
And now I see people talking about a different kind of cross. But forgive me if I misunderstood, wasn't the last few days exactly what's supposed to happen after a death cross? The reports I read said death cross signals major bottom, and then price will go up from there.

So why is everyone now talking about bearish trends again (not that I disagree).

Its part of cryptocurrency already. There is always going to be someone one there with motives to buy but will only do if the price is low. With so many of them wishing for the price to go below $7k, I wouldn't be surprise if the price will actually drop sooner so you better be ready as well. Call it opportunity for at least we got the chance to grab some BTC.
1558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 32 ETH for staking?! on: October 31, 2019, 11:03:41 AM
This will probably result in some pump of Ethereum price before they implement ETH 2.0
but I am not sure this will be sustainable, and I even have doubts that whole thing will even work.
Smart contacts and tokens are not going to transfer easy to PoS

That pumps is going to be anticipated, they've already spread the word about this and I think Vitalik also spill this information during his speech about ETH2.0. For an average person he will really be trying to accumulate 32ETH just to get into this opportunity. Right now I guess the right is pretty high but when the pump is over I think we can still buy ETh at less than $150. Save your BTC for it if you have some plans.
1559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are we really investing in bitcoin? on: October 31, 2019, 09:58:03 AM

As the thread grows in number pages the reasons of the users are mostly for profits. I was waiting for someone who will actually reply that they needed to invest in bitcoin for a purpose that its one currency used for buying illegal stuff online. It would be fun to ask which he had been buying. Pure reason for some is they use BTC for remittance besides monetary incentives.
1560  Economy / Economics / Re: US Congressman: Facebook Should Adopt Bitcoin, Drop Libra Project on: October 30, 2019, 08:57:40 PM

I like this congressman. BTC price would certainly will moon if facebook adopt BTC but then of course they are not gonna do it since BTC is too decentralize for facebook to handle. By the looks of it, Facebook is not going to give up Libra. They'd find a way to get on with their plans, they have spend money already for this project and if it means accepting both adopting both BTC and Libra they will probably agreed.
