1885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eMunie (EMU) - NOT a BitCoin fork/clone - call for beta testers on: June 08, 2013, 02:24:34 AM
Hey folks, it's been a bit of a day for me that I wont get into so I'm here a little late.

Beta is going live over the weekend and we'll be contacting the first 20-ish over that time period.  I know some of you are real eager to get on board and play with this, but I hope you can appreciate that we would rather slip the date than release a duff client, even beta wise, first impressions count.

Anyone that isn't contacted in the next day or so, do not worry, we'll be ramping up quite quickly over the next week or so.  We want to go with a small amount of beta testers to start not only to test the client, but also the bug tracking software and other infrastructures.   Debugging on forums is not fun.

As always thanks again for all your support and stay tuned.

To whom it may concern,
I have a black belt in breaking simple things. Perfect for testing. AND I use linux with a mixed amount of knowledge. Perfect, right?

Looking forward to tinkering.

Moderators:

The image of your authority is in question, not by all I don't believe it is your job to police morality of businesses. You do need to be neutral in all matters. However you like most business need money to run the forum and should be obvious to all here. I suggested before that you allow other in the community that are concerned to buy ad space to warn others. Putting an announcement that although you take on adverts from companies you are not condoning any company or have any opinion on any matter. Closing threads should follow the rules of profanity and excessive hate crimes and porn and the rules you have outlined.

BFL supporters:

You have your opinions and the right to voice them. Please consider all facts and if you choose to not to head the warning or you believe they're not true its fine. For me at least is not an issue besides its your money.

BFL non supporters:

You need to understand that the rules of the forum need to be followed and BFL has the right to advertise here just like every other company however you all have the right to advertise as well. Instead of voicing your concerns bashing moderators incurring resistance to your cause. Work with them in a civil manner and be on equal footing with BFL's right to advertise. CROWED FUND ad space here and support the community along with this great forum. Take the forum back for the community.

To the community:

If you have a concern about the issue of BFL and would like to support ad space to have this ask a representative from the community to escrow a fund and lets move forward with this. If a moderator wishes to take this on please voice your intention and lets restore the image of bitcoin and this forum as a community of like mined individuals aspiring to change the idea of commerce and the future.

Lets get this done. I may not have much but I am willing to donate to a solution.

1. This is too practical of a solution
2. This post has no cursing
3. This post lacks non-standard text size
4. This post provides a proactive solution to a problem

I think it's safe to say this is in the wrong thread! yuk yuk yuk

Back to the point. Fuck BFL, I want my coffee warmer!

What does your coin offer new?
Nothing

Working on native support for I2P, and other darknets. Other than that; nothing yes.

and a whole lot more than most of the coins attempting to fly lately.

I second that!

The American'ts are gonna start cracking down on our party here sooner or later. Nice to see someone taking proactive steps for the future. Will run this for sure.

That seems to have done it, thanks.  Though now the activity level is way down.  I was getting at least a couple of trades per 10-15 mins, now I just ran for an hour and only 1.  Forgive my ignorance if the lack of trades is just a product of current market prices, but are there other settings that are tweakable to increase activity?

Ideally to make the most trades: (when I was running this my account had at least 100 trades per day)

1. You need a low latency to cloudflare and btc-e (fast connection or tier 1 network, or server in russia?)
2. The script needs to be able to run with no timers firing.
3. The script needs to print no output or only print output if a trade path was analyzed and no profit was found.
4. fastTrade should be enabled! - This again ideally will cause the script to fire all three trades with no error checking and no currency clearing.  The best chance to complete three trade legs is to complete them sequentially as soon as they are found.  The issue is that this method will leave your funds stuck in whatever the last currency leg that filled was.  Since I normally run bots to make the exchange a higher profit (.2%-.6% to exchange vs .1% to me) there can be a loss when converting back to the original currency.  In the crypto currency world it is dangerous to sit in anything other than 50%Crypto 50%USD continuously balanced since the prices are extremely volatile.

To make the most profit, the script should detect price trends in BTC and trade B to B while the price is rising and U to U while the price is falling.  Or swap from B to U to ensure a 50% balance in the portfolio.

Even if you are on to better things, we the people, greatly appreciate you sharing your work. I've rekindled an interest in coding due to looking at and tinkering with the bots on here for btc-e. Good times.

That is what I assumed but I never posted any trades. I tried dropping the %'s and starting B U L and no noticeable effect. Very curious.
1897  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTC-E dot com - SCAM and UNPROFESSIONAL <<< BEWARE >>> on: May 30, 2013, 08:48:39 PM
You should realize that a site that's listed on bitcoinscammers.com does not make them scammers. Some sites are good but users will post members that ripped them off. We don't discredit those sites just the users trying to rip people off.

And what the fuck does any of that nonsense have to do with btc-e and this asshole who can not provide a shred of evidence? Seriously? So I can submit bullshit to you and your site all day long and fuck legitimate services and sites? What is it you are providing for the benefit on the community?
1898  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC-E PHP Currency Arbitrage Bot Full Code on: May 30, 2013, 06:56:11 PM
Groovy... I'm glad I did not miss something (again) when going through the code. Fun stuff.
1899  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC-E PHP Currency Arbitrage Bot Full Code on: May 30, 2013, 02:56:54 PM
Question about this:

Code:
//Programs
//A - Currency Arbitrage, Choose UtoU or BtoB arbitrage through L
//B - Portfolio Balancing, Maintain 50% of two currencies at all times
//D - Buy Down, Buy 1/2 spread each .5 drop and sell 1 each $1 gain

Is this just informative? Glancing through the code I did not see a place to set this.
