I don't understand some people...kill you for 1-2 huc....stupid's man!

Actually, it's not. 1 soldier = 1/3 of 1.005 HUC so thats a profit of 1+ HUC per kill. Scale 100X
1664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - Human Minable - Dual Algo Scrypt / Sha256 on: February 19, 2014, 12:28:19 PM
You are trying to solo mine BTC thats what you are doing wrong.

What in my previous post makes you think I am mining BTC? The config file I pulled from huntercoin.org. :/

Solo mining SHA-256 is an exercise in futility. Don't bother. Unless you have millions and millions of dollars in equipment. Just get in a mining pool.

Neither one of you understand what I am trying to do. I am trying to mine Huntercoin using my miner not bitcoin, I wish to put my cube to work helping it's network out.

You know, I was born during the day, but it wasn't yesterday....

UNLESS your 'cube' just so happens to be 100 Th/s, you are waisting your time trying to solo mine.

If you want to contribute to the greater good, use your translator of choice to navigate the Chinese pool in the OP and merge mine there. I was able to get LTC mining running with a little trial and error, I'm sure the BTC side is not much different.

Alright, I'm thoroughly frustrated. I spent the last 4 hours researching, configuring, re-configuring, and restarting my wallet and my mining cube and haven't had luck with mining this coin. My huntercoin.conf file located in %appdata%\huntercoin\ on my windows machine is as follows:

Code:
rpcuser=a
rpcpassword=b
server=1
algo=sha256d
addnode=192.241.222.65
addnode=192.81.209.210
addnode=178.32.31.41

I've got a Block Erupter ASICMiner cube and I have it set to the IP Address and port for the computer running the huntercoin wallet. I have the ports forwarded through windows and I have the blockchain fully downloaded. The most I am getting is the job number going up but no hash rate showing.

What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

55 euro for a 8GB SDHC card also seems somewhat..expensive to say the least  Shocked

It's only the replacement card in case one of your cards get lots/damaged. You should always have 2 cards so one can serve as the backup.

What he means is that these cards are only like 5-10 euro everywhere else. Why would anyone buy them from you?

lol I will tell you why, cause setting shit up on a pi is not always as easy as it should be. In fact, they even tell you the bs they save you from here

Well duh!

"Second Gen" coin just translates to Wall St blood suckers are not going to let another BTC happen without squeezing a little blood out of it first.

Frankly, the crypto scene is pretty well fucked now because of this mentality and personally, I do not see many ways around it...

lol complaining about bots? seriously?

I think it would take a TON more effort to write a bot for this then to just to spend a few minutes and a few clicks to pwn.

I have problem on wallet after open wallet says: Warning: Displayed tranzactions may not correct! You may need upgrade,or other nodes may need to updgraded! WTF? i have v 1.05 ..i have conf with nodes! Any solution..?

how many times do you have to post this message Smiley

RE-DOWNLOAD the Blockchain

delete all except wallet.dat and huntercoin.conf

then download.. do not end client when it is downloading, it will be unresponsive, but you need to wait. It may take a few hours.

Otherwise get an SSD to download fast.

Ohhh ya!!!!!! Syncronization again !! I like THIIIIIIS! i don't have SSD sincronization almost 10-12 hours nice gift  Roll Eyes

Then next time backup your full data dir
1675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Melange [SPICE] - The Spice Must Flow! on: February 12, 2014, 07:43:45 PM
its not that its slower than dirt, its that the coin takes 180 confirms, I hadnt realized that. but I have set that up now. Make sure you set auto pay, the coind doesnt support larger transactions.

Fair enough. Seems to be smooooooth sailing bud.

Post your address, I owe you a bounty
1676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Melange [SPICE] - The Spice Must Flow! on: February 12, 2014, 05:53:14 PM
Your pool does not pay out either auto or manual.

[edit] ok, looks like its just slower than dirt on the payouts.

[edit 2] news flash, i am impatient! lol! Auto payouts running well

I think the crown is the best part... this shit would get boring real quick without it.
1678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ₩orldo -The World Currency. Botnet proof (Alpha open) on: February 12, 2014, 12:55:44 AM
Starting to read the anti botnet white paper and my first question is are botnet slaves really that much slower?

Could the same could be said for low end VPS's?

I've been trying to find some figures about average specs but I'm still looking. The majority of machines are probably just used for surfing the net, imagine the old PC some grandma has that she never installed anti virus on... old, useless, but it still ok for email and basic surfing, and since they don't do any banking or need a secure PC they don't care so much about security.

The problem is that there are literally MILLIONS of these machines all over the world. They hash very, very slowly individually, but add them together and you have a massive mining network... for free.

VPS's are not the issue, if you want to use one you'll have to pay for it... free beats that every time.

Thank you for your response.

I think you have a good idea on trying to cutout the botnets, I really do, BUT I think that will be a nasty double edged sword due to you may end up cutting out a large portion of your potential user base. A good example of this would be between folks who have either A: slow internet (still a wide spread issue) or B: folks who do not have SSDs, 32G of ram etc etc who's computers might not meet your specs.

Again, great idea and really, probably the only way to deal with said issue... I just don't see how you can find a happy medium. Though I would love to be proved wrong.

And yeah, right on about hash consolidation... its not just a BTC issue.
1679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - Human Minable - HF- UPDATE 1.05 - 9th/Feb/14 on: February 12, 2014, 12:27:57 AM
As i said few days ago... I'm working on a totally new client that would be based on the original wallet

I'm developing it in .Net/XNA and it's targeted to Windows users (i think that a VM on linux can work too, when i'm ready i'll release to test Tongue)

I'll start with some basic stuffs in a readonly way (will be possible to watch the "realtime" situation), using some advance features like center/lock crown

as you can see in the image i load correctly the map and i've put a little radar on top left (i think i'll do some features like "lock to player xyz"  or show enemies approaching one of our selected unit (reading transaction i could see if their path is leading to our hunter position, some warning like "home missile incoming" Tongue)
I've even added another floating map that could be useful to track 2 areas (so u can track crown, enemy or allied)

I've still a lot to do, but i started from scratch Tongue
P.S.
the map is very fast and very responsive, even with minimap open!
i've still to load hunters on that but since i render only visible part i don't think will be a huge problem

moreover i'd like to add a feature that when on a tile (a map square) there are many hunters, clicking on that tile shows a popup giving info on hunters over it (and maybe u can take some action)
I plan to put even a chat on the bottom (i'll read original message but i can even think about doing some alternative chat, could be interesting)

I'm looking for a bounty Cheesy
P.S.
I pref to fly down so i'll try to release step by step, as soon as i've first nice integration with real time data i'll publish the first alpha release

P.P.S.
i'm looking for nice idea to implement Smiley

If you need linux testers send me a pm. Oh and LOOKS GREAT!
