Why does eMunie need a pre-launch sale?

 

Due to eMunie's unique supply & demand inflationary model, an initial system balance (or float) is required to ensure fairness of the system initially from speculators and individuals whose only goal is generate large profits.

 

Additional to the above, eMunie will feature the worlds first true Peer 2 Peer distributed exchange & marketplace. This exchange & marketplace also requires an initial system balance be present to ensure that the stability of an eMu's value can be ensured, even when large buy or sell activity is present at any particular time, whilst still allowing individual unit value to appreciate steadily and predictably over time.

 

It would be possible to create this initial system balance and allocate it entirely to an account in eMunie's control; by doing so this would levy control of a large portion of the total eMu supply to a single entity for an unknown period of time.

 

One of eMunie's main goals is that it should be a decentralized currency, thus adopting the above approach would call that goal into question. Therefore we have decided that this initial system balance should be distributed around as many accounts as possible, with the fairest way to achieve this being by way of a pre-launch purchase of eMu.

 

What will eMunie use the raised funds for?

 

In addition to our existing budget, all raised funds will be used primarily for the purpose of furthering development and public adoption. In brief the use of raised funds will fall into 3 distinct areas:

    Continued research & development of the eMunie client/s, system and infrastructure
    Promoting eMunie to the masses to push adoption
    Maintaining eMu stability via emergency reserves to combat large value movements

All received investments will be recorded and managed diligently, these accounts and records will be available publicly (any specific identifying information of individual investors will be protected as required) for audit should anyone wish to verify them and our transparency.

as a non-nxt stakeholder, i dont see his statements as smear.  However I have acquired a good bit b/c NXT does look promising, and I thought it a good bet.  IMO he is correct on the QA thing though.  Only recently has there been a slowdown on client updates, and some of them have been very bad.  Some people have lost their NXT (due to their own negligence, yes, but you have to admit there wasnt much of a disclaimer in the client warning of proper use) and I see that as negative publicity.  Also, the POS thing and only 71 stakeholders is other negative publicity.  How long was the notification of buy in before the closing of the buy in?  Yes I understand the nature of the stakeholder investment, but given that it is based on a deflationary model, I am concerned

In contrast, eMu has been in "beta" with what I assume is not real money at stake.  Im not in the beta test so Im not really aware of what all is going on or the planned released features come Jan.  That being said, the notification for prebuyin of emu is vastly longer than NXT, and also I 100% agree with a previous poster regarding NXT being hoarders and EMU being spenders.  Given those 2, my prediction is the  the general public will consider emu much more 'fair'.  Not that Im saying that 'fair' *should* matter, mind you, Im just saying maybe that will be a big thing, maybe not.  Thing is the emu presell is MUCH more expensive than the NXT one.

digital:  PR is coming don't you worry, I wanted to make sure that everything I wanted to do, could be done first before I really promoted at all, as you can we have achieved so much more than my original goals already, and there is still more to come.

You can phrase it however you want but you are touting this alternative currency on a Bitcoin discussion forum; Bitcoin of course being built upon with fair and open source concepts. People who join this community tend to hold similar viewpoints. Which is why historically alternative currencies which are closed source or do not have a fair start (owner keeping a hoard of the coins for themself) are shot down and 'trolled' hard.

Please don't get on your high horse to me about pump and dumps and other annoying and misused terms. You yourself are a founding member of Emunie hoping to receive Emu from Fuseleer by kissing his ass so it therefore makes yourself look rather idiotic that you try to berate me for criticising the investment potential.

It's also going to be heavily pre-mined. And if you read the forums they don't want people to be able to make a lot of money off it by buying it when it's new (demand based supply).
