Hirocoin claims to be GPU coin.... Hirocoin and Darkcoin use the X11 algorithm. X11 does not give GPUs a huge advantage over CPUs. My CPUs are mining DRK right now. Is that based on hash delivered or hash vs electricity? Hash delivered - X11 does not give GPUs a huge advantage over CPUs electricity - i know x11 consumes less electricty when gpu mining. not sure if same is true for cpus. hmmm interesting. Will take a closer look at that. Thanks sir.

I'd be happy o participate in any beta program or testing of course.
BGB I'm really impressed by your transparency. You easily could just sit back and dominate huntercoin anonymously but you've been open and active in the community. So thanks, I think everyone appreciates it. lol better the villain you know then the villain you don't? But seriously, I agree. I'm not gonna hate just because I do not have the skillz to code a bot for Huntercoin. Soon enough either: A: The client will give enough advantage to a pulse and a brain B: People will stop bitching and form gangs C: Some goodie goodie two shoes will open source bot(s) .. and the playing field is leveled. B can be done now if you could stop bitching and A is right around the corner thanks to the mighty efforts of MithrilMan. But B could be a lot of fun... http://youtu.be/qAUMri0mv8M

I think people need to understand what the definition of fraud or scam is.
Having unrealistic goals or having your head in the clouds about creating the next Bitcoin or turning on a whole nation into cryptocurrency isn't criminal in character, it's just being naive. Until we see the creator of AUR run off with the premine for instance, any accusation of fraud is questionable at best, having suspicions is one thing but throwing out accusations without evidence is another.
Personally to me the biggest shenanigans of all revolves around Litecoin with its massive amounts of fake volume going on in the Chinese exchanges, one exchange in particular that is owned by the BROTHER of the developer for Litecoin. Imagine if Satoshi's brother opened up an exchange and tried to sell you Bitcoin? I know it wouldn't make me comfortable. But whatever, it is obvious there is a clear schism between the "old crypto money" and the "new" crypto money and the 1st generation has hated most alts from the very beginning so I take any accusations of "scam" with a grain of salt.
Remember, Doge was called a scam and the creator was verbally assaulted and accused that he'd premined a bunch and would run off with it and crash the currency. Not only did this NOT happen, the guy even turned down 500k in venture capital money! How many of the professional trolls in btc-e who spend 8 hours a day trashing alts would have such strong hands? I bet very few.
bullshit. your posts fails to make any credible point at all. try again, scam pumper. Wow. How can you even say that? What he said has some valid points (some of what he said is fact, even) and you are just dismissing them on principle. Please refute what he just said. Has the creator of AUR ran off with the premine yet? Is the brother of Litecoin's developer not the owner of an exchange? Is DOGE a scam? Did the DOGE dev not turn down 500k venture capital? In my book, people who throw around accusations without anything to back them up are the ones who get labelled "scammers". yeah no fucking shit. this is worse than a bar that doesn't card when it comes to daily rape. ffs people are not even trying any more. where is the innovation? this is just bulls shit. you just agreed with him, and he was disagreeing with my premise. so which is it? you're either for these scams or against them. pick a side. lol don't mind me, I was a little drunk.

NIX here too, very much awake & very not a nerd I also don't have constant security issues & updates, viruses, etc, etc........ OK let's put it simply, any coin or app that relies on linux will stay small, never go mainstream. It's got to run on what people use, not what a small minority like. Being removed from Apple store even damaged bitcoin. Using linux is like heating a swimming pool to boil an egg for most people, they prefer things easy and quick to use. ...and yes, you're into crypto and linux, go buy a green hornet T shirt I wouldn't say it relies on it, just a noticeable performance difference on my hardware.. so much so I no longer even try to play on my win boxes. Also, I am a proud super nerd but no Hornet T's... more like Army of Darkness What's wrong with the price? It's really down on Poloniex!
5 days of people playing, and a lot of people will sell at any price. It just means cheap coins right now. It will turn around though. These cheap prices won't last forever. i.e. Get 'em now. (I scooped up a whack load. ) Same here! I try to buy a little bit each day to supplement my mining.

Seriously though..... why does it take more than 5 tries to get the wallet to load? EVERY TIME I open the wallet, I get the popup window from windows, saying "the program is not responding". I kill it and try again. Usually after 5 tries or so, finally it loads. Anyone else have this happen?
The solution is to not use windows. Yeah and huntercoin will thrive on all those linux boxes in the world. Wake up. Most people use Windows and for anything to grow past a few nerds it's going there..and as there's plans for it to run on Android and tablets etc. obviously that's been realized long ago. Where this coin might just be game changing is how it can break out of the current crypto circles and into just about anywhere that people play a game and wouldn't mind it making them money rather than costing them money. Without opening the *nix vs win argument, I am awake. There is a noticeable difference in performance between mint and win7 and never once on any of my *nix boxes have I had the app time out.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Melange [SPICE] - The Spice Must Flow!
|

I think those who hold larger amounts of spice should start selling more even at current prices. Even if you think you're selling it off too cheap now, you're contributing to it becoming more popular. If more people have the coin, more people are interested in the coin, hence greater chance at it getting more noticed. In the long run you'll be better off. If everyone just holds it waiting for the price to go up, it's gonna die out before that happens. There needs to be liquidity in the market.
For everyone currently not mining: 1Mh scrypt equivalent mining setup gets you at current difficulty about 20000 spice per day. At currnet highest buy order (0.000001 BTC/spice) that means 0.02BTC/Mh/day. Even at half the price or double the difficulty I think that is still the most profitable currency at the moment.
BTW: is anyone else having problems logging into sci-fi exchange?
Yeah except on day one of mining and selling you've effectively gobbled up all buy support.
