1621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - Human Minable - MMOCG - Update 24/Feb/14 on: March 05, 2014, 02:27:28 AM
you can travel in time ;Wink

Every now and then, the cosmic forces that run the multiverse end up with a few stale shares and orphaned seconds, which forces them to mine more time. We're not sure what algo they're using, but apparently time is merge mined, so it doesn't matter much.

I would like some of whatever you are smoking

Any chance of a Mac version sometime soon?

I have Mac-only friends wanting to give it a try!

Can't you build it from source on OSX?

Edit: Never used QT creator - is that a windoze thing? I'm on Xubuntu 13.10 64bit.

?!?  I suppose you are making a joke.

I'm on Lubuntu 13.04.

I normally just "git clone"  and run the huntercoin-qt.pro file from inside Qt Creator.

No, no joke. I use this for compiling QT from within the huntercoin folder:

qmake “USE_UPNP=0”
make

thats the easiest way to rock qt on *nix. Stick with that method bud.

So... will all the "unpaid" investments be ... somewhat refunded? Including mine , of half a btc? ..

lol man its a ponzi! you are shit out of luck!

(so am I lost .46 but thats why it's a gamble yo!)

There will actually be a refund (believed to be 20%) for the round1 depositors!! Look at the OP previous messages and mine on this thread

New round will start between 6pm and 10pm, last round the deposit address had more than 100BTC of deposits in the first hour...

yeah sure there will be. Point being this is a ponzi scam. Mofo's shouldnt complain when they get scammed. ffs what is the internet coming to?

@Snailbrain :

Is it possible to "cut" the blockchain ?

For exemple, the block 80,000 keep all informations, each address has X HUC, player Y is here and he's moving to here etc.
All this informations saved in one block,  like this a new player will only downloading 1 big block to play, block number 80,000. Because the sync of huntercoin is very long for non-SSD hardwares, 2 hours downloading for 24hours played. I thinks it's bad, our blockchain weigh 1,7GB in one month ! Downloading the blockchain from start take long time, maybe 60 hours... It's a big problem to attract new users.

not really (easily).. in the future when domob re-implements huntercoin onto libcoin, then maybe there can be some pruning.. also it's possible to prune the nameindexfull.dat file, now i believe.

it is possible to make lite clients, and that's what we're planning, they will work in a centralized way..

Wouldn't it be easy to set up a website, where people can download the blockchain? Dogecoin did that for example.

I don't know how much the server would cost...maybe everybody could donate a bit or somebody who supports HUC would be able to host it.

Hear hear to that!
1632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of CPU-ONLY AltCoins on: March 01, 2014, 03:16:24 PM
Just launched the CPU Coin List

CpuCoinList.com

Here is the Announcement Thread.

You should add a "Date released" column to your list.

That is on my to do list.

I am currently checking all coins with GPU miners available to see if they still are CPU minable. So far I have removed PTS, QRK and CNOTE.

Is there a good GPU miner for Quark now (well, one that is publically available, that is), or is it still Smelter?

Any of these algorithms could have a GPU miner developed for them (hmm, or maybe not primechain?)?  The only difference is how many people have access to them?... but there are some where the difference won't be as pronounced, eg protoshares/bitshares/whatever it is now.  Could get ~725c/m on a i7-4770 (not overclocked), best public GPU miner gets you around... 4000-4500 cpm on a 290x?

for quark (and ton other algos) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=475795.0

Thanks for the groestl gpu miner but it not as efficient as using gpu miner for skein.

ha beat me to it.

I would also agree with this. I've cleared 3k and change in 2.5 hours on one 270x using the ass kicking sph miner

I have no idea how to make sph run on skein, I guess ill have to get linux

see above, I was mistaken/hung over

Do not invest anymore in this ponzi. The owner started a new round because he just wanted so.
I still have 0.50 invested in this address : 12PoNZiEtabwkCU4YFffshWNF1cRiAk5nq , days ago and he just skipped my payment.

lol well telling people not to invest is a sure fire way to not get your btc out!

Are we in the gambling section or free btc 4 all?

gonna submit this press release soon on my own. hope you guys like it

"FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: New Product Launch: Introducing HunterCoin – The coin that’s a game and that’s safe, fast and secure

February 26, 2014: Are you ready to make some cash and enjoy earning it? HunterCoin.org can make it your reality. Huntercoin.org is pleased to introduce Huntercoin which was released on February 2, 2014. Huntercoin is a modified form of Namecoin and the coin that’s a game. It is safe, fast and secure and the revolutionary human mine-able crypto currency that incorporates the world’s first peer to peer decentralised massive multi-player and site where gamers and crypto-currency enthusiasts get paid to play.
Why choose Huntercoin? Huntercoin allows players to control hunters which harvest coins in a 2D top to bottom virtual world. Once harvested the Hunters return to a spawn area that effectively ‘banks’ the harvested coins which can be converted into Bitcoins and real world currency. Though the game appears simple players must be mindful of impending attacks and counter-attack several steps that are synonymous with a relatively complex but competitive gaming experience.

All participants collect Huntercoins inside a virtual world by applying human effort, strategy, and teamwork. They are assured of fair play because every event leading up to the present moment is recorded as a public ledger in the block chain to allow all your successes, failures, and transactions to be immortalised.  Participants get added motivation as Huntercoins have a real world financial value and unlike other crypto-currencies, Huntercoin is affordable and accessible to the majority. Dedicated, expensive ‘mining’ hardware is not needed. Start collecting Huntercoins and earn crypto-currency!

About Huntercoin.org: Huntercoin.org is the proud owner of the world’s first peer to peer massive multiplayer online game, Huntercoin. It is committed to developing apps for all platforms including smartphones and tablets that would allow anyone anywhere to participate without downloading GBs of data. Its official website is www.Huntercoin.org. Huntercoin facilitates crypto-currency exchange at www.poloniex.com."

FAIR PLAY? it is seem that is not correct. because in this game we can play multiple colors at once, create many clones as many as we want as long as we have HUC .. new players and also people that came with MMO gaming mindset soon enough will find their self as an easy target from veteran players. there lazy veteran players making hundred HUC just by sitting and dating with their out-of-colors characters near the base, targeting honest harvester coming home with hard earned HUC. In MMORPG - this called metagaming behavior - taking advantage with out-of-char. an unethical way of playing that will hurt the game balance soon or later.

The only lazy thing I can see in your description is the common practice of players not giving two shits about their fellow color members. I should not be able to march a lone general inside the spawn walls. If your team does not act like a team then consider changing colors instead of making a new forum account to cry on.
