1741  Economy / Auctions / Advertise for Free on buywithbtc.com...pick a # 1-100 to be "Featured Business"! on: January 06, 2013, 05:45:59 AM
Any Bitcoin business can advertise on my site, buywithbtc.com. I have had the domain for a while but am aggressively expanding the site!

This auction is free! Pick a number between 1-100 and if you are closest to the number I'm thinking of, your business will be the "Featured Business" of the week and have your own front page ad where you can post things for sale-whatever!

1743  Economy / Goods / Re: How to Ship-A suggestion (very useful, read if you're a seller) on: January 05, 2013, 08:39:49 AM
I wouldn't exactly say it's a loophole and I'm pretty sure most people already know about this, but then again, I've been selling stuff for 10 years. I do agree it is the best way for shipping. Additionally you can buy stick-on printable labels very cheap on ebay (or take a bunch for free from your local fed-ex) so you don't have to tape on labels. If you sell a lot, buy your own scale for $30 and never go to the post office again.
Also, above 13 ounces you can no longer use First Class.
True, I just feel cool thinking its a loophole. As far as the scale goes...most people probably have a small one (for jewelry or...other things). I put a medicine bottle or something on there and then tare it. Then I put the envelope on top. Definitely going to visit my local FedEx! Thanks for that.
1744  Economy / Goods / How to Ship-A suggestion (very useful, read if you're a seller) on: January 05, 2013, 06:31:07 AM
The shipping method I've been using lately is great. I'm aware this might not be the right place for this thread, but I figured the greatest number of people would see it here.
Anyways, there's a loophole with PayPal where when you're signed in you go to www.paypal.com/shipnow and you can ship something without receiving any payment via PayPal. You can choose the funding source, postal carrier, everything. I always choose USPS First Class Parcel Post (2-4 days in US). Up to 6 ounces, its $1.64. 13 ounces and above is $2.15, I think. The best thing about shipping this way is you get Delivery Confirmation, which you can also use for tracking.
Hope someone found that useful!
1745  Economy / Goods / [SOLD]2x 40% Silver Half Dollars, 2x Silver Mercury Dimes = 1 BTC shipped on: January 05, 2013, 05:43:53 AM
[SOLD]
Up for sale are 2x 40% Silver Kennedy Half Dollars (1968, 1966) and 2x Silver Mercury Dimes (1923, 1923). I am asking only 1 BTC. That includes shipping anywhere in the US.
Thanks!

1746  Economy / Goods / Extremely Rare US Silver 3 Cent Coin [I NEED BTC-TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS] on: January 05, 2013, 05:27:05 AM
Usually my numismatism (unless there's someone on here with rare coins who wants Bitcoins-contact me!) stays separate from my cull coins/bullion dealings.
But, I have an extremely unique coin to offer for sale on here. I'm curious to see what kind of response I get.
Anyways, the coin is a duplicate for me, so I have one to trade. The story is that during the 1850's (1852 this one is), Jews confined themselves to homogenous societies. They hoarded US government-made coins because of their high silver/gold value. Thus, with a need for currency they could spend, these coins were illegally minted for a short period of time (the government doesn't like when you mint your own money). The coin itself is made of silver, however (its pretty small).
Truth be told, there are tons of grades possible for coins; such is the science of numismatism. Check this eBay auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1851-3c-THREE-CENT-PIECE-SILVER-SCARCE-EARLY-US-COIN-GOOD-STRIKE-III-/121045552497?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item1c2ee08d71
That coin is in about the same condition as mine. Truth be told, the asking price for that coin is pretty high. You can search eBay, but you'll see this coin in the condition its in goes for a solid $50-$75.
I am only asking 2.5 BTC and willing to negotiate a little (including shipping). If you're into rare coins, this ones for you. Even if you're not, this is more than a beginner's coin-its one sought by experienced collectors. Take advantage of my desire to get some BTC-you won't see a deal like this again.

I will sell them individually (including shipping inside US) for .4 BTC, or you can take all three for 1 BTC. Let me know!

1750  Economy / Goods / Re: Retin-A (Isotretinoin): Get rid of Acne! on: January 04, 2013, 06:28:08 AM
if its not isotrentinoin why does title/OP say it is ?

Isotretinoin is known to cause birth defects so severe that, if nothing else, it shouldn't be offered for sale without an appropriate warning.

Attention, Girls and Women:
You must not take isotretinoin if you are pregnant or if there is any chance you might get pregnant while taking this medicine!

Isotretinoin causes severe birth defects, including malformation of the head and face, mental retardation and severe internal defects of the brain, heart, glands and nervous system. It can also cause miscarriage, premature birth and death of the fetus.

You must use two forms of birth control at the same time for at least one month before you start taking isotretinoin and for all the time you are taking this medicine. Keep using two kinds of birth control for one month after you stop taking isotretinoin. If you are using Depo-Provera as your form of birth control, you may not need to use two forms of birth control. Check this with your doctor.

Your doctor will make sure you are not pregnant before starting isotretinoin and check again every month while you are taking it. You will be asked to read and sign a consent form to show that you understand the dangers of birth defects and agree to use birth control. If your period is late, stop taking isotretinoin and call your doctor right away. If you get pregnant while you are taking isotretinoin, talk with your doctor about going on with the pregnancy.

I read the last line as "if you accidentally get pregnant while taking this stuff, seriously consider an abortion."
Isotretinoin is a nasty nasty drug. However, this is not isotretinoin. Isotretinoin is better known as Accutane. It is a pill you take. What it is is a synethetic form of Vitamin A (which helps keep skin healthy).
This is tretinoin, the topical form. It is very mild. If you live in a country where this is prescription-only, a doctor will probably prescribe it to you if you visit them for mild acne. Isotretinoin (Accutane) requires a specially licensed dermatologist to prescribe.
I have been using this for years (originally prescribed by doctor) and it works great. Just be sure to put on sun screen if you use it and are going outside for extended periods of time-it makes your skin sensetive.
fixed

I have dealt with Johnniewalker and it was a pleasant experience and it went smooth with no hiccups and the communication was stellar.

Techshare - I think you are out of line making a thread like this for someone who is a metals seller just like you.  This does benefit you and by reading your OP, it looks like you wanted to deal with him but didn't trust him enough to send first.  That is no reason to post on here, tarnishing his reputation.

Sure he has made some mistakes but he is learning and didn't try and scam then cut and run.  I think you should delete your OP and lock this thread and chance the subject.  We should act like gentlemen on here and care about others reputations like you would hope we would care about yours.

Dalkore
Thanks Dalkore. I did send that message-when I noticed Tecshare made this thread just to knock me. I'd hardly dealt with the guy, don't know why he's got a stick up his ass.
1752  Other / Off-topic / Re: READ THIS IF YOU WERE MY BUYER IN THE PAST VERY VERY IMPORTANT on: January 04, 2013, 05:47:19 AM
What does anyone make of this? Torac expressed interest in buying something from me.

Awesome, but I can only pay you in 1-2 months or so. Not sure when, maybe I can pay you faster. As I said my paypal is limited and I will have to pay you once they unlimit it then I can buy bitcoins to pay you. I have 600$ stuck there so it is not a problem, I am willing to pay you 5$ extra of what you sell them for. But only when I can pay you, it will be asap, sorry for the delay.
If they sell it for a limited time in your university let me know, I have 8 BTC or so in my wallet the thing is I have to keep it in case someone needs refunds from me and I also need it from something else, but if it is limited time and I must pay you in a rush for them I will. But if you can wait for the payment it would be great.

I am not going to buying anything from you anymore. - Fuck you, stupid seller! Everything must be HIGH TRUST AND MUST BE SECRET, STUPID SELLER.
Fuck me? Fuck you buddy. Why does our transaction have to be a secret? I'm not selling you drugs. I don't know what your deal is but I see you dealing with some SHIT from everybody-you musta done something pretty bad.
1753  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: An example of why you probably don't want to waste your time on "johnniewalker" on: January 03, 2013, 10:35:08 AM
This discussion was dead, you just revived it.  As far as I have seen so far you have done more than your fair share of shit talking. Maybe less is in order. After all isn't this how you got here in the first place?
I do not recall really shit talking at all. What I said I said to defend myself. If you want to talk shit-talkers, who made this thread? The one that exists just to knock me?
You say I talk shit, you can show me some examples.
I don't know what your deal is, really don't.

1755  Economy / Goods / Re: What would you give me (can be physical or digital) for 1 BTC? on: January 03, 2013, 09:19:17 AM
I was just wondering what you might want to give me for 1 BTC?

It can be something you post to me in the mail or something digital. Escrow will be used.

I like books, old board games etc etc so nothing is too weird!

I reserve the right not to accept any offers - but let's see what you've got  Grin

I have three Chinese-made, perfect (although not quite there on weight) replicas of these I was thinking of listing for 1 BTC (2 are same year, 1 is different):

1757  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any mobile wallet other than blockchain? on: January 03, 2013, 08:59:49 AM
The best I have found by a mile is Blockchain.info. May I ask what you don't like about them, and/or what features you find lacking?
its definitely not lacking any features. that was sort of the issue. i just wanted a simple wallet app. i found it w/instawallet and i do like how it works w/password app. its not a big deal, but how about an instawallet app instead of having to use safari?
1758  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: An example of why you probably don't want to waste your time on "johnniewalker" on: January 03, 2013, 08:47:14 AM
I love how the whiskey guy thinks he's trustworthy when each and everyone of his offers turned out to be laden with fakes and/or false product descriptions.
what the hell are you talking about lol? i do business with plenty of good people on here.
Also, I was willing to "test the waters" and send the 4 coins to Tec with payment on receipt. Escrow was just something I hadn't thought of before and was asking him about. I wasn't sure about sending my silver coin collection cause that was worth a lot of money to me. I figured if he had the coins, why not send them to some third party and they'd release them to me when Tec got the coins. It wouldn't slow up the transaction at all, and I couldn't think of any reason why he wouldn't do it.
I really don't know why I have so many haters on here. Its whatever though-most of my postings I find a buyer for and the transaction is smooth. You guys can keep talking shit  if you want though.
1759  Economy / Goods / Re: [VIDEO] Me melting Silver and casting an ingot on: December 31, 2012, 09:00:12 AM
I absolutely love this thread and am considering buying an ingot off him purely as a souvenir of his entertainment value especially with the videos. I was laughing out loud so hard it pissed off my gf while she was sleeping which made this whole experience even more enjoyable.

Interested in a 1oz 925 shipped. Thanks!
lol I hope you're serious. PM me.
1760  Economy / Goods / Re: LOT of pre-1964 US coins on: December 31, 2012, 08:50:51 AM
Hi everyone,
I'm the kid every guy at home living in their parents' basement is trying to pick a fight with. Why, I don't know. I've completed about 20 transactions-all went 100% perfectly except for a particular one I'm sure you've seen on the boards. So-do or don't do business from me, but please don't harass me. I already have gotten plenty of that and can't figure it out. Call me crazy but I'm not going to front anyone my entire scrap coin collection.
I have:
1 x Peace Dollar
6 x Washington Quarters
38 x Silver Dimes (Eisenhower, Mercuries and a few Barbers)
I am asking 10 BTC shipped for the lot. As the new year starts more and more people are going to start buying tangible assets, and silver is probably the most practical and financially within-reach of them all.
Anyways, if you want the lot, perfect. You send me the BTC and I'll have your coins in the mail same day.

Those Ike dimes look kinda Roosevelty. Smiley
You got me.
I knew that Wink
