1901  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: February 05, 2013, 07:45:50 AM
That second part could still refer to regulating the issuance of new shares (more than the 100mil that exist), no?

The line is at whether the terms refer to shares that are new and added to the general total, or merely new to MPEX.
1902  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: February 05, 2013, 07:12:14 AM
So, he could say, sell a few million of his private shares to an investor that owns a million MPEX shares in an arrangement to have him sell them off MPEX? This would circumvent the "rules", but in that case he wouldn't need to announce anything at all...
1903  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: February 05, 2013, 07:08:10 AM
Just thinking out loud, but are we sure he didn't already own a million shares and simply sell them cheaply? Or, is there a way to check the total current share count on MPEX?
1904  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: February 05, 2013, 06:53:50 AM
Can anyone explain this to me?

The representatives of SatoshiDice solemnly promise and warrant never to issue more shares on any other venue nor in any way to dilute existing shareholders at any point in the future. All future share issuance will be made only a) subject to approval by MPEx and b) at a price no less than the higher of the 1 day average price and the 30 day average price then current on MPEx

The bolded part, I get it. They promise not to dilute shareholders. But the second sentence is talking about how they would release new shares. I was under the impression that "share issuance" means releasing shares to the public. Am I missing something? If the bolded sentence mean that they won't dilute the holders, then what's the point of the second sentence?

Yep, I give up. It gets very muddy, but it's still possible he always intended to slowly release shares... I dunno...

This isn't dilution, all shares are still equal parts of the company. It's devaluation, sure, but is it dilution?
1906  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: February 05, 2013, 06:28:42 AM
I think you misunderstand. He did not add more shares. The prospectus notes 100mil shares, he has only listed, what, 11mil after this?

Considering that he's pulled in  in like $350k a month, and owns 90% of the business, it's no skin off his back to sell a small % to shareholders.

I do hope he has expansion plans in mind though, marketing can go a long way for this business...

Water this plant and watch it grow.

As a long term investor, it doesn't bother me ... as long as I can get some of that .0044 action before it goes  Kiss
1909  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: February 05, 2013, 04:32:06 AM
Hey all,

S.DICE will be releasing another 5% stake starting now in five tranches of 1,000,000 shares each. Each tranche will be priced higher than the last. All tranches will be higher than the IPO price but lower than the current market price of around .0071 btc per share. Same rules apply to these shares (100% of net earnings from SD).

First tranche is 0.0044 btc per. Listing is live.

First come first serve Wink

:/  I just bought in hard today... and DeadTerra is asleep for me to re-up Sad

Very nice, thanks for the update.

I even contributed a little to the s.dice profits today...

It can be a little addictive, particularly when the results are firing quickly.

1912  Economy / Speculation / Re: 'dat wall on: February 04, 2013, 10:25:06 PM
dat wall is gone, very cool to watch how someone basically hit pause on the whole market value.

Safe to assume it was to buy all day?
1913  Economy / Securities / Re: [BF and BTCT] Gamma SatoshiDICE Pass Through on: February 04, 2013, 07:32:20 PM
Just wanted to post here to say that DeaDTerra is helping me out with some decent-sized transactions and he has been very helpful and friendly so far.

Can someone point me to an easy explanation of how to set myself up in WOT so I can start my own rep and help DeaDTerra's with a post?  The website is a little cryptic about how to get yourself listed... unless I missed something.
1914  Economy / Speculation / Re: A more in-depth BTC/USD analysis... on: February 04, 2013, 06:55:36 PM
This big $21 ask wall is certainly going to stall things too...
1915  Economy / Speculation / Re: A more in-depth BTC/USD analysis... on: February 04, 2013, 06:26:42 PM
I feel like the double-tip pattern might be a result of a self-manifesting "weekend dip", where people noticed that prices dipped around the weekend due to lack of fiat being converted on weekends or such, and now they are moving with that pattern.

If we touch $23 this week, and then Fall to $21 or so this weekend, I think that would prove this.

My theory and your analysis could both be on the right track at the same time though, which would make the correction more graded too...
1916  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: February 04, 2013, 02:08:34 PM
Here's an alternative scenario, hopefully we're not going too off topic...

Okay, it's November 2013, and ASICs have taken over the BTC mining scene. GPU miners have largely migrated to Litecoin, where a healthy but smaller community is thriving. BTC market cap has reached $1billion+.

But Litecoin value has also gone up, to say $10 each. Now, if you think of BTC and LTC as $100 bills and $10 bills, you've just dramatically increased the amount of currency available. If things evolved this way, you could have even more altcoins over the years. This would allow endless expansion crypto-currency value.

Slightly off-topic, I could also see each country adopting it's own cryptocurrency as a method of battling bitcoin and keeping control of things in their respective countries.
1917  Economy / Economics / Re: How could wages in Bitcoin work? on: February 04, 2013, 12:44:03 PM
This would only be important if there would be a hyperdeflation, like wages in a hyperinfaltion.

With normal inflation you get a fixed amount and for big industries the labor unions each year negotiate how much more (1 - 3% for example) the workers get.

Only difference would be, with Bitcoin they would negotiate how much less you get.

If the company's revenue is all in bitcoins, it would be easy for wages to be in bitcoins. If conversion to another currency is required, then that currency would be the wage base.
1918  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: February 03, 2013, 05:44:54 PM
If anywhere near the amount of money needed to do these things were being converted from USD to BTC, the value of coins would rise to meet value of the purchase.

A huge conversion like that would also cause a big fat bubble most likely.
1919  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CAMPBX NOT SHOWING MY $500 DEPOSIT FOR OVER 4 DAYS on: February 03, 2013, 05:04:28 PM
Is this problem still there? If so, please lodge a ticket with them... they've been here over 2 years now and is fairly responsive.

They've just been slow, all of my deposits to CampBX have completed in 8 to 25 hours recently. My hope is they just have a lot more transactions than they used to, and will staff up a little...
1920  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SDICE Passthru on: February 03, 2013, 02:28:12 PM
When will the first dividends be sent? Not in a rush, just noticed that the other exchanges seem to have all paid out already.

Thanks!
