Thanks for the update.
1803  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTCTC][[ASICMINER-PT]] - Public trading of ASICMINER shares on: March 05, 2013, 09:06:42 PM
I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner.

According to Friedcat, the exchange is coming and according to the BitFunder G.ASICMINER-PT, it's free maintenance because they are expecting to only run it until Friedcat's exchange is up and running.

So what we'll do is offer free maintenance on the first three months.  That way if it really is temporary, then there will be no maintenance fee.  If it ends up being long term, then there's a little something still for the operators time.

This has the added benefit of giving us time to get to the 10,000 share tier, where the maintenance fee is half a percent.  (dividend X 0.005)

I'll write up a contract modification and submit a motion.

Cheers.

Where did you hear that the BF passthru is temporary? Ukto never said anything like that afaik...?

What happens to the dividends for any shares that might not be sold yet?
1805  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Litecoin Mining Rigs on: March 05, 2013, 08:02:06 PM
Looking for fair prices on whole rigs from trusted individuals. Ideally 3 or 4 GPU cards in each, 3GB+ ram, with 7950s, 5970s, or 7970s.

Got one buy lined, looking for more.

1811  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Ziggap Bitcoin Sales Service on: March 04, 2013, 11:49:02 PM
You guys seem like you WANT there to be a problem. The loan is good standing, and aethero is one of the most trusted names in the otc wot. There are more useful questions to be asking.

For example:
How will Ziggap verify its expenses and revenue? Will Aethero allow 3rd party audits, or somehow share details of financials in a more convincing way than typing text into a forum post?

I'm almost ready to make some buys, would like to know what you are parting out though.

1815  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: March 03, 2013, 04:44:26 AM
If the market can be moved that heavily with seemingly not a whole lot of effort, what's to stop a person or group of people with a big enough bankroll from putting up bogus bids/asks and slowly stepping the market price up to a certain point, then cashing out? Is this what is referred to as a "pump and dump"?

Thank you all for humoring me.

Dividends keep it grounded.

Is that 10BTC fee from Havelock current? I know that there are other brokers that have much lower fees, including at least one that does it for free if the order is large enough.

2 weeks is probably too long to leave people hanging for the dividends, especially for people who intend to re-invest.

Don't get me wrong, I still think your exchange is great in general, but these terms seem like they are leaning on investors a bit too much. I bet the first passthru on BitFunder will be more favorable, assuming that happens.
1818  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Bitcoin Pride-10,000,000 Shares SOLD on: March 02, 2013, 06:12:53 PM
The more recent suggestions in this thread are very much on point.
1819  Economy / Speculation / Re: Review of S.DICE on: March 02, 2013, 03:14:59 PM
So with the BTC rallying up, S.DICE is valued at ... 1 000 000 000 * .0062 = BTC6200000 @ $30 | $18,6000,000
Is this high? low? about right?

Hmm...I dunno.  Just because BTC is at $30+ does not mean you can do calcs like that.  Is it extremely valuable, yes.  But to extrapolate like that, just does not make sense.  Think about it a minute.

I thought it was only 100 million shares total, not a billion?

Even so, how does valuing a company in USD (or any currency that a Bitcoin can be converted to) not make sense? Just because they operate in Bitcoins doesn't mean we can't do some quick math to figure out their "real world" worth...

It all depends on how you're looking at it. Some available assets can produce a mostly predictable % dividend each month (in BTC). If you start comparing those assets to assets that have a dwindling % due to USD influence, then the picture gets clearer.

On the flip side, there's nothing stopping SDICE dividends from skyrocketing if more whales decide to play, or, if an influx of normal players comes along. It's a gamble!
1820  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Rastamine - 5 Gh/s perpetual mining bond with ASIC update on: March 02, 2013, 03:00:27 PM
Could you clarify whether this increased payout from today will be the normal rate, or will dividends decrease back to normal until the next asicminer dividends?

Also, when will you release the new upgradeable shares?

Thanks!
