1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understanding the Impact of Social Media in Gambling. on: Today at 02:07:59 PM
A lot of social media influencers especially vloggers and YouTubers are promoting gambling usually at the end of their vlogs or videos.
I could see a huge contribution and spread of information that they made especially during this time where the majority are using smartphones already. In fact, we've been seeing a massive increase in gamblers and online gambling sites. But how this could affect the mindset of the kids when they are also seeing these ads/promotions from the social media influencers they followed? I could be wrong but this has a mental effect on them and at a very young age, they are exposed to gambling already which is supposedly not the right time.

I think these influencers must know their target audience before accepting the offer or should not be included in their vlogs or videos?
Well you can't actually blame the influencers themselves because with the rate at which everyone is exposed to social media,  regulations aren't really put in to actually stop the particular age that aren't supposed to see this and that's why many people get it all tangle up especially the young ones that are glued to their mobiles 24/7. Most of these social influencers aren't really gamblers themselves but they just do what they do just for the sake of paid advertising.
I agree. It's quite obvious that not all of these influencers are a real gambler or into gambling. They're just paid to advertise a casino because of their huge followers. The problem is, everyone can see it especially the minors that might idolizing them. It's not a good influence because these minors might believe what they see and try playing. Some of these influencers are also offering free money if you register using their link, so it's really tempting especially if you're just new in gambling and blinded by the potential profit.
2  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: Today at 06:19:45 AM
You guys should stop deceiving yourself about this and thereby preaching weakness to people. There are testable working ways to stop addiction and there are addicts that can testify to it. The fact that something is tough to achieve does not mean that it can't be achieved, and the fact that a certain means of cure doesn't work for some certain people doesn't mean it is not the right advice or procedure, people are different, and so how they take thing. There are many factors to be considered here as well, which include the willingness of the gambler in question, the level of the damage already caused and the mind power of the gambler himself.

If we are convinced right from our mind that we cannot do or achieve something, then there is no amount of words and encouragement that can make such happened expect we are changed from the initial perspective we have towards that same thing, in gambling, we can go for what we want, there is freedom of making selection, but many choose the way they appear all because they lack in some information's required for them to know and go through, while such could have been helpful in their gambling.
There's no such thing as impossible if a gambler is really determine to exclude/stop himself from being addicted, remember that you'll never know unless you try. However when a person is not willing, he will find ways to make excuses not because he think it will not work but because he really don't want to stop what he used to.

We are indeed different and have our own reasoning on why we gamble but let's set limit always. Because it's not easy to get away with addiction once you already fall for it.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streaming community are getting worst!!! on: April 25, 2024, 09:54:07 PM
I don't blame them, but the thing is, they sell their dignity in order to promote gambling, maybe because the offer is too good for them to refuse,
It's all because of money. They're certainly sponsored or paid for doing so. Thus who can't resist if the offer is too good? It's quite normal nowadays. These streamers are attracting their viewers to also gamble on the specific casino. Because this kind of promotion is one of the effective way to lure many people to play.

Seeing someone to win huge is really tempting to try it for yourself. Although it seems these streamers lost their dignity for not even thinking their minor viewers, but that's how it is when it comes to money. They're paid so what can you expect.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where is the fun when you lose your money? on: April 25, 2024, 03:13:35 AM

So where's the fun when you lose your money?

There no fun in losing money to be honest, the only thing  you may be feeling would be anger and greed, first one would be angry of losing that bet and secondly the aim of getting what they have loss back , may endup triggering greed or initiating it .

Not everyone is greedy or aggressive. True, losing money isn’t enjoyable, but neither greed nor aggression will recover the losses. I believe that much depends on how we view the situation. If we approach gambling responsibly and consciously it remains just a game. What is lost today might be regained tomorrow Wink
Indeed. We have different reason on why we gamble and it's already given that many gamblers have a goal of gaining huge to become rich. Because it's possible if you're lucky. This thoughts can attract gamblers to play despite the losses they had. But still, there are gamblers who are just playing to kill time, it's not really enjoyable to lose your money but if in return you are satisfied and entertained, then you can easily move on especially if you didn't spend a huge amount in the games that you played.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double your money and quite on: April 24, 2024, 09:55:20 PM
What do you think of this method?
Is there anyone among you who does it?
Give us one of your winning strategies, of course if that is possible.
Playing with set budget and able to stick to it regardless of the result of the game is good for gamblers. Just shows that you are not greedy to keep playing (when you're in winning streak) or recover back your losses and deposit more (when you're not fortunate to win).

Because if you have discipline to not let your emotion influenced you to decide, then there's a slim chance only to become addicted since you can control yourself. If only gamblers are able to do this, certainly addicted players will be lessen.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you achieved anything from gambling on: April 24, 2024, 10:24:02 AM
Lastly , i Dont know If you have achieved anything from gambling or you have same perception like my colleaques But for me i have achieved something reasonable and tangible from gambling , So please friends let me see your opinions on this .
I have not achieve anything tangible to say that I did gain in gambling. Instead, what I gain is the lesson from the experiences of losing money. I was able to control myself and value what I already have to not be greedy. These are what I can say to be the things that I gained in gambling. Because if your goal is to gain money and buy things through it, that might be hard to achieve, as we know it's not easy to win and losing is inevitable. The reason why it is advisable to play just to have fun and not with a main desire of winning.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lies told to cover up gambling habit on: April 23, 2024, 10:16:16 PM
If it's for the better and you know that you're playing in moderation, then why not? But losing huge of money in gambling yet you're still lying to your wife about it seems not a good idea to me. Why don't you try to be open so your wife can understand what you are up to?

It's understandable to lie to someone about our losses because we don't want to be judge. But it's a different thing if you're doing this with your partner. It involves money and it can be a reason for her to lost her trust on you.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can people still get the addictive nature through friendly games on: April 23, 2024, 09:00:10 AM
So am just curious to know if these little games are the one's that got to him or already developed such habit and to know if possible that the practice will continue elsewhere after leaving there when he lost the money and to look for means through gambling to recover it.
Probably this is not the first time he experienced to lose (not limited to gambling). To think that it's just a friendly game yet he reacted that way just shows he already developed such behavior before. IMO, a friendly game can't trigger someone to become addicted, though it can open our mind to pursue gambling depending on the level of interest and if we're entertained. Thus, it can be a start to engage ourselves in gambling but it is still depends on the behavior of gambler. A friend like him who take the game seriously might face a deep problem if he decided to gamble in casino especially he is not the type who can't accept the reality of losing his money.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling: Modern entertainment or highly addictive game? on: April 22, 2024, 11:48:57 PM
What is online gambling in your personal opinion? Are your feelings different from when you play traditional gambling? Does it affect your gambling habits when you play online? Please share your experiences here.
Well, playing online is a convenient way to entertain yourself. Though of course chances to become addicted is high because it is accessible anytime as long as you have internet and money to use for playing. The experience is similar to traditional, the advantage is you have a privacy and can focus more on the game since you're alone.

What I like about online casino is, it's hassle free. However, one should have a discipline because if you let yourself become addicted in gambling (since many gamblers already fall in such situation) it can ruin your life. Thus, it depends on how you gamble, because it is crucial to have a self control to be able to manage your emotion.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stopping the curse of losing streak? on: April 22, 2024, 07:14:51 AM
The defeats I experienced really made me even more curious about gambling, because there is a saying that the more often you lose, the closer you are to winning big. So I kept making deposits until I didn't realize that I had lost a lot of money and emptied my account. Even though I had experienced quite a big loss, this could not stop my curiosity about gambling. At first, so that I could continue playing, I intended to borrow money and make a deposit again, but fortunately there was someone who made me aware of this. This bad behavior is not to continue chasing losses. Until now, I have not returned to the gambling site and placed a bet. With encouragement from those closest to me, I temporarily stopped these activities indefinitely.
That's a good decision if you're not able to refrain yourself once you already made a deposit. It's really tempting to play continuously especially if you're in losing streak since you're thinking of getting back what you have lost and possibly closer to winning, as you've said. But that's not a good behavior because a gambler should not set high hopes when playing. When you lose, accept the fact and move on. It's crucial to not dwell in the past to have a fresh start (this is if you still want to continue playing despite the past losses).
11  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: April 20, 2024, 10:14:56 PM
It has become a way for casinos to request full customer identification. However, the customers will think it is all just a plan by the casino to cheat them. Casinos should ask their customers to do KYC when they first register before depositing money.
Some casinos are doing this already (recommending their players to do KYC before playing) but it's still up to the gambler since there's always an option to do it later. Moreover, many of us think it's not necessary because you're not even certain if you can gain something when you already gamble your money on that particular casino. Thus, better to choose always a reputable site and take time to conduct a reviews of other gamblers so this way even you are asked to do KYC, less worries for the worse case to happen when you submit your information. But of course the risk is always there.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: THERE ARE TWO THINGS INVOLVED on: April 20, 2024, 03:38:51 AM
In my opinion, the key to enjoying gambling is to see it as a form of entertainment rather than a way to make money. By setting strict limits on how much you’re willing to lose and sticking to those limits, you can enjoy the thrills without putting yourself at risk of major financial setbacks. Enjoying the wins when they come, but not letting the losses drag you down.
That's how it should be. Set limit on how much to spend and stick to it. Don't go beyond that, otherwise you'll experience the consequence of not controlling yourself. Greed is also one of the factor on why some gamblers (who became fortunate to win a decent) still end up losing it all. It's because of their greed for wanting more thinking the result will be the same again.

Thus, it's better to play just for fun and not to profit as main desire. Because if the latter is the reason why you keep on playing, you'll just pressure yourself while not noticing you already go beyond your limit on how much money you can only afford to spend.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we help beginners not to get addicted on: April 19, 2024, 10:13:47 PM
I think majority of people who are addicted to gambling is because they do not understand gambling as beginners, the rules and the side effects of playing gambling excessively.
They do not understand or they let themselves be drown in gambling believing that they can gain huge. Because this is the usual reason of gamblers who became addicted. They can't stop playing, unable to control themselves due to this desire of gaining money. I agree that if these people (trying to engage themselves in gambling) are aware of the rules and the bad effects that it might cause if you gamble excessively then they can prevent themselves becoming addicted.
14  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are your expectations for Casino coins in this coming bull run? on: April 19, 2024, 08:27:25 AM
1. Amongst the three casino tokens I mentioned above, if you were to invest in one, which would it be?
I have RLB token now that I got from their airdrop before.

2. Are there any new casino tokens you think will do well in this coming bull run? Please tell the community and briefly introduce the project to us..
I'm not certain with this as I am more focus on accumulating established coins as preparation for the incoming bull run. I only have RLB and so far it is doing well.

3. Overall, how are you expecting casino tokens to perform generally, in this coming bull run.?
In general, majority of coins are increasing during bull run therefore i'm expecting these tokens to follow the trend. It's better to only buy a casino tokens of a reputable casino so less risky that it might turn as scam.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever Projected how to spend gambling profits while the game has not played yet? on: April 18, 2024, 10:24:47 PM
When I was a newbie gambler I also did something similar by projecting what I will do to my winnings without even thinking that there's no assurance to win at all. As we know, it's a game of chance and luck is a major factor in order to win. The difference is, it's just in my mind and didn't promise anyone to have a false hope.

Well, it's a lesson learned that in gambling you should not be too hopeful to win and don't borrow money just to sustain this habit. It's funny how a person made a promise knowing that he is just relying on the result of his bet. He just humiliated himself for doing so.
16  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: April 18, 2024, 04:59:10 AM
The license ensures trust and belief for its users.
I don't think that's the general sentiment on this forum though. IIRC, some people shared articles about existing casino licenses and how the users can verify the license themselves. I think that's what this license offers, not necessarily ensuring they don't scam you or something similar. I don't think a crypto-based business should rely on blind trust tbh.
You might be right. However we can't deny that nowadays having a license is one of the few factors to say that the casino is legit. Although it doesn't necessarily mean they're not going to be a shady platform that can scam their players.

Anyway, even here the Government is not really into Bitcoin and still warned the citizens to be careful since it's an speculative asset. But they're requiring these crypto casinos to have a license. They just can't admit that crypto or Bitcoin to be a specific also works as fiat though it doesn't have a physical feature.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An interesting story and experience of a gambler on: April 17, 2024, 01:08:33 PM
What exactly do you think we call this type of gambler? For he is not only addicted to gambling, but he seem to be also addicted to buying stuffs he obviously does not need, and absolutely not interested in..
Sometimes we tend to buy things that we don't really need and just bought it because of the sudden desire. Usually for having more than enough money and can't think about of what's beneficial. The money that didn't came from hard-earned is often easy to spend rather than the one that you have worked hard for. Well, it's a human nature to have such behavior and it's not an isolated case.

The main problem here is the behavior of the gambler when it comes to gambling. He is already fortunate to win huge but not firm enough to keep his words to stop. Because if you don't have self-control, it's likely that you'll lose again everything that you already earned.
18  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1xBet Biggest Scam and Violation of Terms on: April 16, 2024, 11:40:19 AM
2. 1xbet changed my country to Bangladesh deliberately and refused to change it back to IRAN by my request .
Despite of this, why you still opted to play knowing in the beginning they did such thing which is illegal? It's already a red flag to stay away to this kind of casino. They want you to keep playing on their site but will use the fact that your country is prohibited to gamble once you win.

3.i won many USD but everytime i won 1xbet refused my bets and every time i lost they were ok with it .
1xbet has a bad reputation here thus it's not surprising if they did such. But why it took you 3 years playing on this site before realizing their shady actions?
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not everyone deserves to hear of your winning in gambling. on: April 16, 2024, 07:47:32 AM
I don't think so, as everything has a positive as well as a negative side and catching the inspiration is their own decision whether they took the positive side or negative one. But I think maybe someone will get it and take it in his gambling track and will be successful like you. I know sharing your success story with anyone and any type of success whether it is gambling-related or something else is not always beneficial because people change when they hear about your success but I believe that there may be someone who needs some motivation and from your success story he will get it and perform well. So always Think positive its results will be always positive.
A gambler who became motivated to keep playing because of the successful story of other gamblers are not that bad if he can still play with discipline. But believing the same fate might hit him as well despite of the losses he already had is not a good mindset. Because you're already influenced by this motivation to not lose hope, that's not how gambling works.

It's always nice to see someone gained a decent amount from gambling. But it is important for us to limit ourselves and not too hopeful just because others are able to do so. Remember that majority of gamblers are not in profit.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are not to gamble. on: April 15, 2024, 01:01:18 PM
They should be able to anticipate more losses by limiting their gambling activities. When gambling, they should not have to gamble for long. Moreover, gambling is just entertainment that doesn't need to be taken seriously. If they have experienced loss, there will be a desire to recover their losses, making them eager to continue gambling and in the end, they will lose more money.
Sometimes an experience to lose in gambling can make someone realized that it's not an activity to earn money easily. Because as we know many gamblers are engaging themselves in gambling because of the thought of gaining when they play.

Thus it's crucial to know what you are getting into before deciding to use your money just to play. Always expect the worse case that can possibly happen so that you're not going to be hopeful to win.
