1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New ID requirements for Gamblers in Australia on: Today at 07:50:46 AM
Although most casinos ask for KYC, yet minors still gamble on their elders ' IDs (Elder brother or father). I wonder by introducing this ID verification what special Australia is looking to achieve from it?
To prevent the minors to gamble online. This is a good initiative to get rid (or if not), to minimize the minors playing even they're still underage since online casinos are accessible and anyone can lie about their real age.

Although this might discourage the gamblers who don't want to expose their identity and still wants to have a privacy, they can't do anything about it but to comply. Otherwise, you can't enjoy playing online because of this new requirement.
2  Economy / Gambling / Re: Restricted on casino bonuses on: Today at 04:28:41 AM
I'm just curious on why casino offer a bonus that they can't handle once user keeps winning using this. They can adjust the requirements to make it more competitive instead of removing all the benefits to user just because he keeps winning. It's not player problem if he is very lucky.
As others have said, bonuses are meant to attract the gamblers (particularly the new users) to play on their site. If you're that lucky to defeat them, it's not surprising that they will restrict you on these special offers.

Casino is a business, and if many gamblers are losing their money on their casino, that means more revenue for their business. But a gambler who often win is not good for their casino. Therefore this action has been made. Often, small casinos can't handle such player, but for huge casino, I think this won't be the case. Anyway, I hope you still have that same luck on the new casino where you switched to play.

Well, that's true. Each casinos have similarities but we can't expect every features can be seen to other casinos too. Just like our experience when we're playing, there's a difference.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to identify shitcoins? on: Today at 01:08:08 AM
most of the new coin are shitcoin, therefore to avoid shitcoin, then I suggest you not to invest in new coin and only invest in popular coin (safer), therefore I suggest you only invest in Bitcoin, because Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency, so Bitcoin will not become shitcoin and Bitcoin price will continue to increase, therefore by investing in Bitcoin, you will get a big profits in the future.
not all new coin shitcoins though, there are many good coins, if every new coins judged as shitcoin then there will be no innovation at all.
after all the new coin also need support so that they can grow, most of the shitcoins are just those deployed without any product backing it up, quite different with good coins.

I see any coins that require crowdfunding a shitcoins.  The main reason is that they don't have funds to start the project, they can't convince any private investors to fund their project so they resort to crowdfunding that usually got carried away by hype and empty promises.

That's true. It's easy for the dev to run away after accumulating significant amount from the investors who trusted them. The reason why it's hard to find a good coin from the new ones because you have to dig deeper to see if there's a gem among them.

To identify a shitcoin, check the whitepaper, roadmap, the team (and its transparency and their previous works), the community and if there's a use case that can solve real problem for it to function with purpose and not just relying on hype. It's not going to be easy but if you're careful not to fall on good promises, then you'll spot a coin that is good to invest in.
5  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: October 01, 2023, 09:10:19 AM

Casinos may ask gamblers for KYC verification for various suspicious activities. Now in this situation a gambler has nothing to do. Casinos create their T&C in such a way that they are in a position of maximum advantage in situations where gamblers cannot opt out because they are trapped in the T&C. But it is also true that there are many gamblers who use the casino to do illegal activities like money laundering, and then it would be considered a good step if a casino asks for KYC verification to catch users involved in those illegal activities.

$5000 is the most casino base amount on transactions before KYC is demanded and as long as it goes if the gambler operates within a set limit he will not have KYC demands.

So if you are in within the deposits and withdrawal trench hold and kyc is demanded it means there are suspicious activities from the account.
You are right, every platform online, gambling casinos, exchanges, all have a deposit and withdrawal limit for non kyc users, but this is for the legitimate platform who have decided to follow the rules and regulations laid out for them by their regulatory body.

Aside the above, I have seen and used platforms where one is allowed to deposit but can't withdraw without kyc, and there are other platforms too where a user won't be allowed to make a deposit without kyc verification, Ive come across one casino like that but I forgot the name..

But in all, the long and short of the matter is, any gambler who knows he or she will be depositing and withdrawing big amounts from online casinos, such user should endeavor to pass kyc verification to avoid withdrawal problems especially.
Indeed. There are still few casinos that doesn't require their gamblers to pass KYC and still able to deposit and withdraw as long as you didn't exceeds the limit.

But nowadays, it's common for licensed casinos to ask their customers to comply in KYC, and I think it's much better to do it beforehand. This way you won't face any problem incase you'll going to withdraw a decent amount in the future. In addition, only choose a reputable platform to gamble because they will not deceive their gamblers about their rules just to attract them to play on their site.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Violence and anger could be a sign of gambling addiction in youths on: October 01, 2023, 05:42:25 AM
Is there any effective way to make sure youths stays where the are told to stay instead of looking for quick money? Gambling isn't the solution to poverty it will possibly drown you deep into more poverty.
Many factors can tempt the youth to try out gambling and one of that is the influence of their friends. The proper guidance of the parents might not be totally the effective way but has a huge impact on the kid's behavior and on how they see things.

Anyway, violence and anger issues can be related to gambling addiction of a person, and it's not limited to youth, but in general. Even adult gamblers who experience losses tend to have such personality (though not all since it depends how you deal with it). This usually happen if you can't accept the outcome then you tend to pour out your anger to someone even it's solely your fault.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When the fun stops on: October 01, 2023, 03:37:06 AM
Some people already feel like they are not having fun, because what they have in mind is making money, to all people that feels this way, If you feel like you aren't having fun I believe for the greater good, it's better to take a break from gambling and do something else.

Do you agree or disagree?

In this situation when we feel that we are not having fun at all while spending money in gambling, it can be said that it is a sign of addiction.
Of course I have to agree that we should stop at this stage, although I have to say that most gamblers will not realize that this situation as a sign of addiction.
Due to some reasons such as recovering losses or aiming to get more wins, most gamblers will continue playing although they do not feel the fun any longer while playing the game.
It's not healthy anymore to play without fun. Just shows you have other intention on why you keep playing even it doesn't entertain you anymore. Recovering the losses and a goal of winning huge as you have said are indeed often the reasons for gamblers to continue what they used to. It's not right, however they will only realize the mistakes after experiencing the worst like having debts.

We can't dictate others to just gamble in moderation to avoid becoming addicted but we can apply this to ourselves. So we can play without having problems related to gambling since we're aware how gambling should be treated.
8  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: October 01, 2023, 02:26:03 AM
So here the most important thing is that there is no problem if gambling is carried out among women if they can control their thoughts, are disciplined and responsible when carrying out these activities and can bear all the risks they will face from their gambling activities.[/left]
I think anyone who plays gambling must have taken all the risks when they started entering the casino. No matter male or female, when they create an account at a casino and start gambling, they must be prepared for failure.
Regarding men or women who spend more money at the casino, I think it's all the same. When you have enjoyed the game, no one can actually control or force you to stop before you feel satisfaction.
Everything would really be equal and its totally nonsense if you do pertain about on a certain gender in speaking about winning rate or chances which we know that it cant really be just that a solid
indication for you to win because chances or odds would be entirely be random and would really be depending on how lucky you are. It is really just that not shocking that the community would really be that too judgmental when it comes to different gender which if they do see you to be a women or girl and then involved with gambling activity then people around would be having that odd impression
that they shouldn't really be here.

There's no indeed difference as we do all know because it cant really be just that men are the ones who could play gambling but also women too. Its for free for everyone
and as long you do have the money to be spend then it would really be just that you do have the right on playing gambling as you like.

If we talk about how they play man and woman don't have any different cause we are all know that both of them man and women once they are in gambling they can not predict the outcome of their bet. So literally  speaking there no gender who are pro in gambling. But if we talk about addictions then there are many woman can control themselves so that we can say us that woman cactrol away from addictions while men there's a high chance of involve in addiction.
Women are more able to limit themselves when gambling, when they lose they have no ambition to get back their winnings, it could be that gambling is done by women, just for entertainment, very different from most men, many of them make the wrong move by using gambling to earn income in a short time.  So that gambling addiction is more dominantly felt by men than women
Well, women might be more capable to control or limit themselves when they're playing but I think this still depends on how you treat gambling. Because regardless of the gender, anyone can control themselves, as well as go beyond their limit.

Therefore it's not about the gender. If men can do unimaginable things just to feed their gambling addiction, women are not different. I remember a woman here who sell her baby because of gambling. She used the money to continue her gambling activity and pay her debt due to gambling. This might be an isolated case for woman gambler, but still happening. It's just that, majority of gamblers are men than women so we know more men are getting addicted to it.

Hi all. I was withdrawn my funds exactly a week later. And there was no answer from them
Be patient. This might be frustrating on your side but that's what you can do now. If everything is settled for sure you'll get your money. They just need time to verify and get an update on their compliance team (as what they told you on your conversation with them).

I'm a long time gambler of Duelbits so I can attest that they're trustworthy. Thus be patient and I hope your issue will get resolved.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If only property I have is bitcoin on: September 29, 2023, 09:17:51 AM
1) since I'm ill should I show my family my seed phrase
2) if I die who will take over my bitcoin since nobody in my family knows my seed phrase.

So I was asking myself different questions because I have no wife and no child, then I began to think and be questioning myself if it will be good to at least tell one person in my family my seed phrase or should I keep having the perso secret of my seed phrase personal or should I keep my bitcoin document on my wardrobe were they can easily see my seed phrase, that time I was of full of thinking, thank God  I recover fully from the illness before i return to forum...no sympathy
All of us have an ending and it's inevitable. What you worry now about your Bitcoin has a simple solution and that is to have someone in your family where you can leave everything without hesitation. Because this particular person is a trustworthy (since you don't have a family of your own yet). We can't bring our fortune when we die therefore it's better to be prepared.

In my case I have someone who knows my seed phrase and other valuable assets. So even there's an unexpected scenario that came, I am at ease that my children won't be left behind with nothing.

11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: September 29, 2023, 03:10:34 AM
If you continue to worry about the price in your DCA method then this will hinder you, it could be that you keep thinking about the price that has started to rise while still hesitating to continue? I think this thought must be eliminated at least whatever the price is if it's the DCA method then just do it.

This was my initial problem too when I started it was really hard when I kept seeing price movements, if you keep thinking about this then investing in the DCA way will not develop but you will be reluctant to continue because you keep seeing prices.
If the goal of DCA is long-term, there is no need to worry about it, it should be a habit for us that there is no stopping to continue DCA.

People usually prefer to do DCA if the price goes further down from their buying price, They usually stop investing / DCA once the price goes up from their initial buying price. This may be right for people who have limited money, but the real essence of DCA is to make a plan to invest certain dollars into Bitcoin on a regular basis. It could be weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or whatever timeframe but it should be consistent. While doing the DCA, you would not look at the price. Just hit the Market Buy button and move the bitcoin to your cold storage.

Some time back I saw the same strategy of DCA being followed by one of the crypto YouTubers, who used to DCA around 200$ on every Monday. He also said that he will continue to do the DCA in this way until BTC is below 30,000$. Once the bitcoin reaches above 30,000$ he may cut his DCA in half, that is 100$ per week. Similarly, if Bitcoin reaches 40,000$, he will further reduce the DCA to 50$ a week. This way he will have the most amount of bitcoins in low prices. He will stop doing the DCA once the Bitcoin price is all time high again.

In my opinion, this approach is a really good one as you continue to do DCA throughout the bear market and are ready for the next Bull market.
DCA is good and ideal for investors who don't mind the current price to buy Bitcoin. The idea of buying consistently on set price is less stressful since you don't have to worry if the price is going to increase/decrease further.

I tried this before and able to sell last bull run but what I experienced to be more effective is still buying during dip. Although it takes a lot of patience, and you have to refrain yourself on thinking negative thoughts if Bitcoin took longer to bounce back. But still that's proven as profitable and working for investors who can let their Bitcoin stay on their secured wallet for long period and can wait for bull run before selling.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoins Vs legit Altcoins in 2023 on: September 29, 2023, 01:11:21 AM
I strongly dislike the concept of "meme coins" even though some people have made substantial profits from them. However, this isn't the core essence of investing. It's evident that the level of seriousness among new altcoin developers is on the decline, as evidenced by the emergence of coins capitalizing on hype to generate significant profits in a short period. They come and go quite easily.

Indeed, the adage "high risk, high return" holds true, but focusing on the top 10 coins is preferable to spending time on something highly risky and challenging to analyze. I still rely on fundamental analysis to make sound decisions.
What makes the investors chose the meme coins despite of being high risk investment? It's because of the potential profit in a short period. If you're an early investor (meaning the meme coin that you invest in didn't reach its peak yet) chances to gain from it is possible. However this is, if the particular meme coin became popular and indemand for investors who are looking for quick profit. As we know many investors are still looking for a quick profit rather than to wait longer even the coins are promising (the established coins) with real use case.

Therefore, meme coins (and other new trend) will continue to exist because of investors who are buying it. The dev will continue to create such project because since it's profitable on their side.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should newbies invest with small capital in BTC on: September 28, 2023, 04:15:59 AM
Well, any amount will do as long as that's the money that you can afford to lose. What matter is, you tried and from that experience, you'll gain knowledge and deep understanding about Bitcoin. Then, if that time comes, you can decide if you'll going to add more funds to increase the chances of getting a huge return or will opt to use other strategy available.

Anyway, I think the problem for some newbies is, they want to risk a small amount to invest then will have a high hopes of huge return from that small funds (this what I noticed to those investing in shitcoins even it's risky). But when it comes to Bitcoin, the more the better. Therefore if you're capable to invest a decent amount that would be good. But this is solely for investors who already have knowledge about Bitcoin investment and aware of the risk associated with it.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Is academic pursues enough to get incomes? on: September 28, 2023, 02:26:57 AM
I really want know if getting more degrees can make life financially better because I come from a country where their are no job and I have seen people that the only thing they can do in life is to read books, getting more degrees attaining all these degrees yet no still go job for them with good pay. Do think people who read in a region with slim job opportunities are doing the right thing?
More degrees = more job opportunities.
But it doesn't automatically mean the job is already there and just waiting. Of course you also need to exert an effort to find a job that suited to what you've learned. If there are slim job opportunities in your region then maybe it's time to explore and start looking to a nearby cities.

But actually nowadays, education is not the basis if you're going to have a good life. What you need is skills, improve it so you can use these skills to earn money. It could be by giving services or through offering a products (business in short).

16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 27, 2023, 05:02:55 AM
Inoue's camp provided a statement to continue the hype and to check if how fans will engaged especially those who wanted to see the potential
of giving Casimero his chance to be inside the ring against "The Monster"
The fans are waiting and I think the hype is still there. So if this fight will push through, many fans of these boxers will be delighted that finally it will going to happen. Thus, hope they consider before the monster move up in division.

It's likely that there's a rematch clause since both are champions, and I'm pretty sure Inoue would make sure he would have the option of a rematch in case an upset happened. However, I wouldn't think of a possible upset, and I don't think Tapales' camp will activate that rematch if Inoue has a clear dominant win in this fight.
There's always a possibility for this scenario to happen. But if we think of what might be the realistic outcome of this fight, upset is unlikely knowing how good the monster is. That's why he is also confident to win and unified the title though still, this is not official yet.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit card gambling fuels gambling addiction on: September 27, 2023, 02:44:15 AM
I don't know how deep the debt on credit card gambling is today until I do my own research and mehn, and it's very sad, many people are in debt because they keep using their credit cards to fund their gambling hunger.
It's unfortunate that many gamblers are doing this to feed their gambling hunger (just like you said), but clearly it's on the gambler's discretion if they fall into this to continue their gambling activity. Maybe it's really tempting to use our credit cards to be able to play especially if you're out of cash. But before doing so, think deeply is it really worth it to use credit card just to play?

Which makes me think that Credit card is far more helping to fuel gambling addiction more than anything else, you don't actually have the money, but you can still gamble, this alone will make people to lose their minds and gamble anyhow.
You might be right. However, this still depends on the self-control of a gambler. You can't become addicted even there's an option to use credit card if you have discipline. Because resorting to this payment method to gamble is certainly beyond the limits. Therefore, one should know the consequences of using credit card in gambling so regardless of the outcome, you're aware.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Marry a Coin/Project - Practically Example on: September 27, 2023, 12:39:23 AM
Never invest in your greed because if you do that, no matter how profitable those coins are, you will still never end up successful. And never put high expectations in your investment. Every investment has its own lapses, and whether you like it or not, there will always be inevitable events that are out of your control that will lead to your sudden losses. So never marry your coin. Know that you invest to make profits, so sell if there’s a need to make a decent gains.
In investing and trading, we should always have a realistic target and avoid the greed and being too emotional.
The goal is to make profit and not to get too attached on any project or coin. Many are being too emotion and can't sell their holdings even if they already accumulated a good profit because of a hope that the price might continue to go up, usually it does but in some cases, you might miss the opportunity to sell if you continue to hope for the big pump. Analyze the market well, know exactly the current trend and adjust based on it.
I think people just believe it is their right to make profit in any investment , they go into wrong investment and have much expectation on it. The cause of all this problem is that people just want to make money by all mean by not making research to know which investment better and that has value in the market. The lack of understanding,  put money as the priority is what makes people fall into wrong investment .
Many investors are like that, investing without much knowledge of what they're getting into and believing it's the right investment where they can profit. Well, we have our own preference on what coins to buy regardless of if it has a use case or just a coin existing because of hype and the community believing it's a gem. Though we can't please everyone to invest in the particular coin since it's more worthy, it's their decision to take risk on what they believe is the best to hold. If they made a mistake that's often the start for them to realize everything.

Nevertheless, it's good if you're firm with your decision to keep holding especially if the coin has a real use case. However, don't be greedy, sell if the price is decent enough to take profit otherwise you might regret not selling when the price move downward and takes a long time to recover again.
19  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: September 26, 2023, 07:03:03 AM
Haven't tried Mines since I am hooked on slots, though I tried to play tower and I seldom goes above level 3, lol. It looks like there is an imaginary barrier after level 3 in which whatever I pick is an empty cell. That, or I just suck on guessing games T_T.
You should give it a shot. I'm not big fan of Mines nor slots but I have tried it out since playing on roobet always lots of fun. On roobet I played crash a big time of my entire day! For me Crash is working quite simple, it consists of a continually expanding line going up and multiplying your bet. This things make me insane all of the time. Crash Rocket is love!

Crash is indeed a popular and thrilling game in the world of online gambling. The concept of watching the multiplier rise and deciding when to cash out can be very engaging, and it can keep players on the edge of their seats. it's a consistent dopamine hits. The longer you play, the more it multiply.

I think for most games the dopamine hit will determine how much people keep on playing or not
if it's really addictive, has intermittent rewards and is a bit unpredictable without being too hard it has some of the important ingredients to hook people
besides crash which other games do you think have it too?
Based on my experience the games that gave me such excitement and thrill are Slot games and Plinko. These are my past favorite games that hits me hard to enjoy gambling. The disadvantage is, it can drain your funds fast if you don't have a decent bankroll (since it's addicting).

But any games can be enjoyable it just depends on what we prefer. Currently i'm enjoying live games because I can play longer than usual.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A person who won 600k$ in lottery on: September 26, 2023, 04:34:20 AM
I think buying materialistic things shouldn't be the priority in case one manages to win such a large amount, and it should be used to create businesses and income streams so that they can earn a lot of money through those income streams and then they can use that money to build whatever they want in their lives including houses, buying cars, or whatever they like to do, they can even start investing in cryptocurrencies or real estate once they have their income streams set.

The reason why I say that is because when you have multiple income streams, you will have a good cash inflow which will make your money keep increasing so that when you spend money on something, your wealth doesn't go down over time and it stays balanced or keep going up in the long run.
Your advice is right but the people that do that are the minority among the lottery winners, and we know this is true as many of them lose their fortune just a few years after they won it, so to those people the idea of creating a business with that money or to invest it never crosses their mind and that is because those thoughts never crossed their minds before either, so the first thing they do is to spend that money in all kind of luxuries they do not need and that they cannot maintain.

But we shouldn't forget that if you open a business it will not necessarily be profitable. It's not like if we buy luxuries - we are broke, if we invest in a business - we prosper. All money invested in a business can be lost. I would suggest to spend half of your winnings on "luxuries", I mean, on the things you've been dreaming of your whole life.
Indeed. Well, it's understandable to buy and do the things that you only dream of before. A life of becoming rich instantly. However if you let yourself be drown to luxurious way of living and forget where you came from. Your sudden fortune might go to waste if you didn't think wisely to invest in things that can give you passive income. Certainly building business doesn't have an assurance of guaranteed profits. But that's much better rather than not trying.

Anyway only few people are given a chance to become rich through gambling so if you're among of those, make the most out of it but don't forget to keep something for the welfare of your family.
