LambChop why the new account?
Did your old one get banned or is this a poorly thought out multi account FUD campaign?

If he gets the award for most posts, our friend Jorge (the most highly-cited computer scientist in Brazil) is at a close second. I wonder if his students know about his little pastime.

Price goes up...I see it on 325$ tomorrow and after Christmas at 360$. Great Christmas Wink Go Bitcoin, go...

Do you think that people, after eating and much drinking (will be drunk many people) price will raise? Hope to see many drunk people that invested their money in bitcoin in way to raise price, imagine scenario, that would be very funny  Grin

Can confirm. Drinking like a fish all week, margin long at $305. More eggnog? Yes please!

i'm pretty sure i'm no where near as well known at bitchick, but dammit, i'm still here!

just busy with work (more like stress from work...) and too broke to invest... though i am going to send 20 over to bitstamp here in a sec to test out the timing from a new bank account.

It's nice to have actual people posting, still, isn't it? I haven't seen Bitchick in awhile, nor her husband. Maybe an impending bull market will attract some traders back. Good traders, that is, not the reddit gambling brigade.

Finex willy bot back? 0.2 buys at market every 11 seconds or so

Accumulation bot. Price goes below x, bot buys small amounts until it is satisfied, getting the best price from the orderbook.

Sandpeople travel in single file to hide their numbers.

what is the purpose of buying 10k bitcoins in every exchange on a downtrend ?

Accumulation. It is what smart money does. Then they sell them later at a higher price.
646  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it just me or is there a change in perspective.. somethings not as it was. on: December 21, 2014, 12:31:43 AM
Interestingly though, some people like NotLambchop will always stay in a perma fear state of mind no matter what  Cheesy

A life well-spent Wink

There are only so many sellers at a given time in any market. The price cannot continue downwards unless there are people willing to sell. And those sold coins don't go into a black hole; rather they go into stronger hands: smart traders, value investors and big money looking for wholesale prices. When the market sells off heavily as it did in early October, it will either find a bottom or sell off further. So far we have found a bottom. It is a sign of strength that we bounced on high volume from $275. If sellers enter the market again and push us below $275, then other possibilities open up and more sellers will be attracted through fear. However, the declining sell volume and high buy volume after the initial selloff tells a story.

It's all about supply versus demand and what the big players are doing. Are they accumulating, preventing the price from dropping? It's likely, although impossible to know for sure. When the majority of sellers are gone, we are free to move up. It takes awhile to shake them out, especially those who have made money all year selling short. Some of this is also supply testing (shakeouts) by big money, seeing how weak or strong the market is and how many floating coins they can scare out of weak hands to vacuum up on the cheap.
647  Economy / Speculation / Re: Shorting have changed everything. We should change too. on: December 20, 2014, 07:51:43 AM
Many people have profited by shorting the market from the $600s, no doubt. They are not necessarily interested in Bitcoin technology, nor do they know how it works other than that it's a digital currency traded on exchanges. Some of them are still lingering. Sometimes you'll catch them doing insane things like shorting at $305 on low sell volume. Put them in a volatile situation where the market whipsaws and the have no f*cking clue what to do and lose a lot of the money they made by shorting. It's easy to sell short in a weak market, not so easy to call bottoms/tops and time trades in a changing market.

Lots of these inexperienced traders are over on Reddit, and it's like taking candy from a baby. Then they cry manipulation when trades don't go their way. Seriously. These are not traders. They're kids.

Went long at $305. Here comes the pump.

Edit: this sub has really gone downhill, btw.
649  Economy / Speculation / Re: Seriously ... whats your buy price? on: December 14, 2014, 06:05:01 AM
I do a bit a trading on the side and just bought a few more coins today. Previously I bought at $300, sold at $430.

I'd love to see sub $200 too, but that ain't happening, sorry. $300 is more likely.

Wow.... Fucken quiet in here.

It's a bit trollish lately.

All the emotional players here make for easy money. Thanks guys, keep it up.
652  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you plan to get out of bitcoin? on: November 28, 2014, 07:29:29 PM
No, I'm buying more. Professionals are accumulating silently. The signs are there in the charts if you know how to look for them and understand how smart money operates. These are the cheap coins, my friends. If you're lucky you'll see $300 one more time but don't count on it.

The trick is to figure out what the whales are doing and trade in anticipation of their movements.

Wow ..... impressive Wink

I don't think they will last a full minute.

FWIW, the Swiss Guard are a highly elite military force.  Their clownish formal uniforms obscure their badassness.  This is one of many standard issue weapons they carry:

A terrible inaccurate submachine gun that you have to reload every 15 seconds? I hope they can do better than that.

Maybe I have misunderstood NotLambchop. It is in the name! He has nothing to do with lambs.

   Horse + X = Hinny

He is X!

Lamb Chop has been described as a "6-year-old girl, very intuitive and very feisty, a combination of obstinacy and vulnerability...you know how they say fools rush in where wise men fear to go? Well, Lamb Chop would rush in, then scream for help."

Quote
Lamb Chop currently performs with Sheri Lewis's daughter, Mallory, mainly for the US Military. Lamb Chop is a three-star general. She was given a field promotion by Lt. Gen. Tom Conant, deputy commander of the Pacific for the Marines.

Yeah Lamb Chop was an American children's show in the 90s. Remember "The Song That Never Ends" that they made famous? Sometimes when I see pages of his ignored posts I think of it fondly.

XCP / Counterparty if you really need to take on more risk.

No miners, no bagholders waiting to unload. 2.6 million were created by burning BTC. It's technically not even an altcoin.

Burning BTC?! i call it crypto-satanism.

Didn't peg you as the religious type. It's pretty clever actually, and it makes BTC worth a little more.

Easy $8000 profit, sell 594 BTC @ $390 at Cryptsy and buy them back at Bitstamp for $375.

Uhh, no that would not work. Look at the order book.

He took his order back - probably read my tread... there was a buy order for 594 BTC for $390, and it was there for at least an hour.

Oh well...

Ahh, didn't see that. Would have been a nice one, for sure.

Weekly chart looks good, macd about to cross, sar crossed (or close to it), solid green volume and a nice low-volume, narrow range red candle. Should be an exciting couple months.

I don't think the auctions will have a huge effect on the price. Why would you go to the trouble to buy all the coins at auction if only to dump them at market with slippage?

No, these buyers are strong hands. If anything some of these coins will get distributed to weak hands during the next exponential run up and you won't even notice.
