You want to believe that Newton's law have been invalidated by observing something like the orbit of Mercury, which is millions of miles away, but you can't do it with anything that you can put your hands on right here on earth only a few feet away?

If you don't realize that there are "things" out there that we don't know about, that affect the orbit of Mercury and so on, then you are missing it as a scientist.

Consider, for example, all the cosmology that makes way more sense that standard cosmology, found at http://www.thunderbolts.info/ and http://www.electricuniverse.info/. Even if electric universe is incorrect information, it shows that standard cosmology has all kinds of potential flaws.

This isn't entirely true. There are many atheists who hate religion. A few of them have said so right in this thread.

Many religious people want to save atheists from destruction. That's why they are out there talking to atheists. Regarding Christians, it is a command of God that they do this.

If an atheist didn't want to be saved, he would go out and commit suicide rather than be preached at. As it is, atheists are reaching out for help just by remaining alive.

As it is, one of the starting points is to show the atheist that atheism is a religion, or at least close enough to religion that it might as well be religion. Another is to show atheists the standard scientific proof that God exists. Still another is to show atheists how their own religion shows that they are setting themselves up to be gods, so that atheism is entirely self-contradictory.

Do you really want to live in a dream world? Wouldn't you rather get down to the facts of life sometime? Get off your atheism kick. You are self destructing by believing the atheism dream to be fact.

Some anti theist people tend to hide their skins under the alias "atheist". They pretend to be one of those free-thinker non-religious people (atheist) and then bash all other religion that stumbles upon them.

But since we are talking about 'atheists' here. Those people that are legitimately atheist and not an anti-theist do not hate religion. They just want to be alone thinking about science and not God. They do not waste their energy proving a religion is wrong or is non-sense.

Maybe we all just want to help the other side to find the real truth in which we believe by insulting their choise, so they would understand their fault.
Another factor is that people in general don't like others that are different. This is true to many social groups, and to find an answer to this you should ask more generally: Why we hate different from us people?

I too agree that and in my opinion, atheist need proof of existence or something relating to historical records. Even if they were provided with historical evidence they will do a research and then only believes in it. Just on these facts they always hate all the religion.

Personally, I think the right religion, Christianity, should be taught in schools. I think none of the wrong religions, including atheism, should be taught in schools.
