What a toughest pitch that is in just 2 days 21 wickets have been fallen into test match between Sri Lanka and Australia, but Australia is in more stronger position and it has pretty good chance to win this match, I am pretty sure Australia will be into leading position after winning this match.
Seems now Australia is sitting in the strong position in this test match, but for them to chase down merely 150 runs also would be a very tough task in the turning pitch. Both Herath and Sandakan will test them in their second innings. Now, the big challenge for Sri Lanka's betting lineup must be setting up target beyond 150 runs. Yes present situation Austrailia is in safe hand. Becuase Sri Lanka still trails by 88 runs. Now already Sl last his first wicket just for 6 runs. I think if they score more than 200 also it is a very easy to target to Aus. But if SL gives more than 150+ runs target to Aus then it will be a bit tough to Aus. Let's see what happen. |

Sri Lanka are looking good at 161/4 They now have a lead in which they can build on. This is what I was worried about because if they can get a lead of say 150+ runs it would make it very tough for Australia batting on a day 4 turning pitch chasing 150+ The way Sri Lanka are batting right now, they could even get a 200+ run lead as Mendis is looking in top form at the crease.

Kusal Mendis with his mind blowing performance get Sri Lanka into safe position, Sri Lanka played very poor into 1st innings but now it looking much better and I hope it will give tough time to Australia if it will get succeed to reach around 200+ runs.

It was most easy to guess match as Zimbabwe came to compete with New Zealand. New Zealand just started its 1st innings after what Zimbabwe is all out at 164 runs. What I am expecting now is New Zealand will let good lead of runs and is possible to make a margin of an innings. This is one sided match from start. Sri lanka vs Australia is going to very interesting in coming couple of days now.

New Zealand is trail by 132 runs with all 10 wickets remaining in the 1st innings. It will be an easy win for NZ and good learning for Zimbabwe. But Zimbabwe since last few years not playing a good cricket. Sri Lanka is doing very well in this test as they already have lead of 196 runs with 4 wickets in hands. This match had very dramatic start as in first 2 days of game 21 wickets were down of both sides. Australia has less chances now to win in my opinion with the passage of time draw is becoming favorite as result of this test match.

Always playing in the last innings in test matches is quite challenging and most of the Asian pitches will support spin bowling towards the end of the game. Sri Lanka vs. Australia, Set Batsman Kusal Mendis got out for 176 fantastic batting. Superbly batted and very goos support to SL. And well come back also, Now Sri Lanka lead by 222 runs. If it crosses 250 runs, then it will be a good target to Aus. They have to bat safely. Otherwise, they will lose this match.Congrats Mendis.

Sri Lanka are all out in the 2nd innings for 353 which give them a lead of 267 runs. It will be a tough task to chase down those runs but Australia have a good batting line up and plenty of time on there side. The only worry is the pitch and spin attack from Sri Lanka. I look forward to see if Australia can pull it off, it will be a nervous time for me as I have Australia on to win the match.

Smith and Voges are good players of spin so that's why I think they are the key to Australia winning this match. One of them needs to be there at the end. It is now 7 wickets down for 141 runs so game for Australia is almost over now, Sri Lanka made wonderful comeback into this test match, it took very good advantage of home ground and post big total after very bad performance into 1st innings, Australia will lose remaining 3 wickets so quickly and winning margin will be around 100 runs. |
