Democracy is a joke, says China

Might sound rich - but they have a point don't they ?
...

China may be butt-hurt that they have had less success in dominating the world.  It may be true that there are cultural issues which make them 'inward looking', but it is also true that their alternative political systems have been less than stellar.  The most recent one, which is one of the most 'pure' forms of communitarianism to date, resulted in people literally cannibalizing one another in order to survive.  In such a situation they had no option but to be 'inward looking' no matter how nauseating it may be.

China is 'successful' now mainly because corporatism is playing the global labor spread game.  They are one of the globalist's slave labor pools but it still looks fantastic because of what they have to compare it to.

A word of advice to the Chinese political pundits (and others) who wish dog on Democracy:  Look up our little saying about 'glass houses'.

Well yes, it does sound rich coming from the Chinese doesn't it ?

I've just looked up the backgrounds of Chinese leaders to try to ascertain wether they were drawn from the same 0.5% of the income/wealth scale that they are in the West (or backed by such). And whilst I wasn't able to ascertain that what did come to light was that Chinese leadership are "technocrats". That is, "Central Committee members.... were already more than 80% technocrats (that is, putative or actual office holders with four-year degrees or more in the natural sciences or engineering)."

Make of that what you will.

Here - aren't you an engineer TVBCOF  Wink ?

Technocracy, meritocracy ?  You never know, you might have been sat at the top table if you'd have been Chinese, I dunno.

Koch brothers network ready to oppose Trump

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – Donald TrumpDonald TrumpRepublican leaders quash talk of Supreme Court vote in lame duck The Trail 2016: I’ll take my worst enemy over Trump Clinton wins Missouri MORE is so fiercely opposed by the Koch brothers network that some donors believe the powerful group will intervene to stop the billionaire if it looks like he could win the Republican presidential nomination.

"They are always very hesitant to get involved in a primary, but I think if they were going to do it, this would be the time because they just hate the guy,” said a donor who attended the Koch network’s winter retreat, held over the weekend at a luxury resort on the edge of Coachella Valley.

Both officials and donors within Charles and David Koch's powerful group hope the real estate tycoon's White House bid dies a natural death so the group can avoid spending a penny of its $889 million 2016 cycle budget against him. But the Koch network's conversations over the weekend concerning what to do about Trump were more detailed than previously revealed.

On the eve of the Iowa causes, Koch network officials referred in a private meeting with donors  to focus group research that included a range of questions including some that identify Trump’s vulnerabilities.

And some influential figures in the group — which held its largest gathering ever, with 500 donors attending the weekend gathering — believe that action against Trump would be needed if he emerges dominant out of the Feb. 9 primary in New Hampshire, where he holds a commanding lead in polls.

During a private planning session on Sunday morning, a senior Koch official ran through every presidential candidate, analyzing each one's strengths and weaknesses, said a source who attended the session.

When the official got to Trump, the tone shifted. Trump, the official said, has been on the opposite side of nearly every issue the Koch group cares about, such as taxes, trade and corporate welfare.

“There's also a constitutional piece,” the same donor added. “The president's job isn't to go up there and be a Caesar-like figure.”

The Koch official shared for the first time focus group research showing that Trump’s popularity falls when voters are shown how working people have suffered as a result of his bankruptcies and business dealings in Atlantic City, N.J. Stories of Trump's efforts to enrich himself by hurting ordinary people proved most effective at generating negative views of Trump, donors were told.

Several older donors spoke passionately against Trump in the private session, and only one donor in the room made a half-hearted attempt to defend him.

defeat, asking about his future and his next step. Rubio replied, tired, beaten, that he “won’t be anyone’s vice-president” and that he has no plans to seek re-election to the U.S. Senate. Rubio has, for all intents and purposes, quit politics.

“I’m looking forward to being a private citizen,” Rubio said to CNN today, looking weary from a long and contentious primary season.

Senator Marco Rubio returned to his day job today, attending Senate meetings and meeting with staffers to discuss how he’s going to try and work for the people of Florida in his remaining months in office. Heavily criticized on the campaign trail, Marco Rubio’s voting record has been less than stellar — the worst in the Senate in fact, and his performance in the Florida primary, his home state — reflects just how little the people of Florida think of Rubio.

Once Trump has this Republican primary locked in you'll see his true liberal self come out.

He'll talk about how he voted for Obama, how he supported Clinton, how he wants universal health care. He'll be the shining star that the Democrats have been looking for.

The establishment orthodoxy on all fronts (center, left, and right) have painted themselves into a corner.  Most of the things that 'their' people 'know' about Trump (violent racist bigot, hates free speech, wants to fuck his own daughter, etc) have been fabricated and implanted with no real basis in reality.  So far it works because the 'high info' people achieve their understanding by being programmed rather than looking for themselves.

The trouble with fabricated 'knowledge' which happens to be invalid is that it is difficult to sustain over long time periods.  Especially when there is pressure from a challenger which cannot be suppressed.  It's why the most dishonest attack ads occur very near voting night.  I predict that no matter how Trump plays things (or is) policy wise, those who hate him for reasons which are fabricated will progressively turn their hate and dis-trust toward their media programmers and the candidate who is being animated by said media.

Again, my prediction is that at the end of the day this person with the Dem stamp will be Joe Biden and not Hillary Clinton if they have to go up against Trump.  Not very clear who, or even what, it will be on the third-party-split-the-vote-and-install-an-establishment-puppet side.  If it is Jeb Bush we'll have a 'crime family vs. crime family' choice again.  A follow up to the 'skull-n-bones vs. skull-n-bones' choice we had in Bush vs. Kerry.

This is pretty insightful.

Can a 3rd party candidate start up at this late point in the game?  So many states have rules about things like that.

It is totally amazing that a rigged system pushed Jeb Bush vs. (the strawman) Marco Rubio AND Hit Clinton vs (the strawman) Saunders and the people totally ignored the dynamic.

On the R side, only the rebels got the votes, and on the D side, the support for the strawman was certainly unexpected.  I hope the R crowd unifies behind Bad Hair Dude and buckles down to fight the incompetent choice of the democrats.   It is quite interesting that although the invective against Trump is rising, the bad points of Hillary are simply not even contested.  Of course their scheme is to pull in prettyboy Castro for VP to divert attention away from Hillary's senility or whatever her mental problems are.

Of course, "believers" in Sanders are naive fools.  They have fallen for one of the oldest pitches.  "I'm a nice guy, and I'll give you free stuff."

It's worth noting in conclusion that a fair number of Democratic talking points are "let's ignore some of those laws we don't like because well, we don't like them."  To inculcate an attitude like that it helps if the primary candidate herself is an acknowledged corrupt liar.   The voter's opinions and expectations go down, he thinks they are all corrupt and liars, so why should he not vote for the liar who promises free stuff?  And the game of socialism is of course to create and give out free stuff, but only to the chosen and privileged few, not the masses.  The masses are to be impoverished, because beggars are easier and cheaper to please.

And the saudis would like to buy cheap votes, wouldn't they?

Poll: Donald Trump Hits 65 Percent in New York, More than 50 Percent Ahead of Ted Cruz

A new poll out on Thursday obliterates the latest mainstream media narrative confronting billionaire Donald Trump: That he can’t get majorities, but can only get pluralities, in election results.

The poll of New York state, conducted by Boston’s Emerson College, has Trump dominating his only two remaining competitors in the Empire State with 65 percent of Republicans there backing him. Only 12 percent back Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Trump’s closest competitor, and just one percent support Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

The poll was conducted over three days, March 14 to March 16, during two days of which Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) was still in the race. Rubio dropped out on the evening of March 15 after an abysmal performance in his home state of Florida, where Trump walloped him by more than double digits. In the portion of the poll conducted before Rubio suspended his campaign, the pro-amnesty Floridian got just four percent in New York. Nineteen percent chose someone else or were undecided.

[...]
In a video accompanying the polling release, Emerson College Polling Society adviser Spencer Kimball called Trump’s towering over Cruz and Kasich a “commanding lead.”

In a direct matchup between just Cruz versus Trump, Trump still wins New York 69 percent to 25 percent—something that will probably make Cruz backers a bit uneasy, as they’ve been hoping that a head-to-head with Trump would be more beneficial to the Texas senator.

Trump’s favorables are also higher than Cruz’s or Kasich’s ratings. “Trump has the highest favorable ratings with GOP voters, 71%/23%, followed by Cruz at 52%/44% and Kasich at 54%/34%,” the polling release states. “Consistent with other primaries, Trump supporters are the most loyal, with 89% of those who see him favorably planning to cast their ballot for him. In contrast, only 21% of Republicans who have a favorable opinion of Cruz say they will vote for him.”

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in the words of Emerson’s release, is also “trouncing” Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) of Vermont in the Democratic primary. Clinton takes 71 percent compared to Sanders’ 23 percent, a 48-point lead for the former U.S. Senator from New York—who was elected after her time as First Lady to President Bill Clinton.

There is no bigotry on Trump's part.

There is no relation between some random murder you have found and Trump.

Now continue with your crude and obvious attempts at deception.

Might as well throw your lot in with Trump. After all, many of the things that he wants to do he can't. And the few things that he can do just might be for the better. After all, the current situation is only taking us towards a blasted banking crash end.

You could always compare a list of all the people in the States, name by name against all the people who registered to vote. Then you could start looking for me in the other group. Good luck. (There isn't any such thing as "luck," btw. Everything is pre-programed by cause and effect.)
