Poll: Donald Trump Still Crushing Marco Rubio in Florida Primary

Despite relentless attacks and more than $50 million in ads, Donald Trump still crushes Sen. Marco Rubio in his own home state, according to a new poll. With little left to lose, Sen. Rubio launched full-throated character attacks on Mr. Trump during the last Republican debate hosted by CNN, which continued throughout the days leading up to and after Super Tuesday.

But the impact, if at all, is minimal and appears to have had a negative affect on the voters in the senator’s backyard.

A One America News Network poll conducted by the nonpartisan research firm Gravis Marketing (PPD Pollster Scorecard: B+) found Mr. Trump leading his closest rival Sen. Rubio 45% to 25%, with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz pulling in 15% of the primary vote. Dr. Ben Carson, who dropped out of the race on Wednesday, trailed with 5% of the vote, while Ohio Gov. John Kasich jumped to 10%.

Yep. Everyone is saying how of a good job foxnews is doing trying to bring TRUMP down. Everyone was against him. I've made a post about his reaction after the debate a while back.

But it took them too long to take him seriously.




Poll: 80% GOP voters say Trump will win, a new high

Despite urgings from GOP establishment lions like Mitt Romney, a huge majority of likely Republican voters believe Donald Trump will win the party's presidential nomination, according to a new poll.

Rasmussen Reports said that a whopping 80 percent of GOP likely voters believe Trump will be the winner. And that surprising number includes 50 percent who said it is "very likely" Trump will win the nomination, a new high for the businessman-turned-politician.

And when all likely voters are included, 75 percent believe Trump will win.

The poll comes after Super Tuesday when Trump won the bulk of states, though only edged out Sen. Ted Cruz in the delegate count.

The poll has significance because it was taken after Super Tuesday and partially last night, after Romney on Thursday morning machine-gunned Trump's standing to run for president.

Among all likely voters, a new high of 75% say Trump is likely to be the Republican nominee, with 45% who think it's Very Likely. Both these findings represent sizable gains from last week's previous highs of 70% and 37% respectively.

Let me say right now, if the power brokers in the GOP try to pick the nominee at a brokered convention, you will see the people revolt. Trump is definitely being attacked more now.  But I think he has gotten so much support that it's too late for attacks to work.  I think if they started this early on, he would not have gotten so far, but they didn't take him seriously.  I think he will win the republican nomination, but I think the democrats will have a lot of thing to hit him with and will start sooner.

Words are free and people like reality TV. Any politician who can whip up crowds, through whatever means necessary is successful at the first step. The second step is where you really distinguish the cutthroats, those who cross the line and are happy to alienate anyone who isn't Mr. Bog Standard American Joe. They know the core swing vote is still heavily populated, albeit diminishing, amount of white middle class voters. Hillary Clinton, for all her misdeeds, seems to be leading the polls for the Democrats (from a very distant, unknowledgeable & foreign observer). It will be a close race, just wish there were more democractic parties involved as I only ever hear about two or a radical offshoot like the Tea Party.
