This is a rock-paper-scissors election. Trump has paper, Sanders would be the scissors and Clinton would be the rock.
That's a very good image ! I'm not a US citizen, so I don't care about these elections as much as some of you do, but I really hope Clinton doesn't get elected. I don't know how to describe her, the only word coming to my mind is "empty". She will say things people want to hear, without any conviction or ideology, just saying them to get elected. At least, Trump and Sanders believe in what they say. |

I remember during a TV interview Trump made the statement, and I'll have to paraphrase, "The average transient on the street is wealthier than me". This made in remarks to the tremendous debt situation he was in at the time.

To be fair, though, that is largely attributable to it being they who control the executive at the moment. The so-called Republicans show every sign of being anxious push such scams forward when it is their turn. I would agree that the parallels between Idiocracy and modern America are stunning and Trump is a poster-child. Just not in this way. Yet. It's mostly that his is pretty much a dead wringer for President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho. FUCK YEAH! Probably the most perceptive part of the whole movie was at the very end when reference was made to ' the un.' I do wonder if it was this few seconds of footage which was responsible for the best effort attempt to bury the movie only to have it pop up as a ubiquitous cult classic a decade later. |

As I recall (I saw it on release in Spain) it opened in just a few theaters in the US and was pulled due to poor audience reactions. Something like 2006. So it grew in popularity slowly, under the table. Very unusual in that it is an American movie that Americans were the last to see. But yeah, I suspect it disturbed a good fraction of the audience. |
