Ars technica publishes a review of the 5 GH/s unit without any mention of the power consumption being an order of manitude out of spec or the fact that the minirigs they accepted money for cannot exist. No mention of the thousands of dollars lost from btc preorders. BFL will now get a spike of preorders. This is shameful

IMHO, if a company needs money for R&D, stay far away. I also noticed over the years the only one's who got their unit's were those DEEPLY embedded in the BTC community. (Me thinks to build more trust) Not to mention fellow scammers like Luke-Jr. Conveniently scheduled to scam the betters on the betsofbitco.in bet. |

Yeah they're a bunch of cons. Nothing about their operation makes sense if you assume its legit. The other day I looked on ebay and found a bunch of sellers hawking their preorders for x2 to x3 what BFL charges, lol. The great cycle of scam continues.

They have proved they have some hardware but I greatly disagree with their business practices so they are the last ASIC producer I would buy from. |

I wonder if they ever do start shipping if people will quickly forget about this mess. Because they are priced well compared to the competition. If they can sort this mess out SOON then I think they will recover. Personally I don't care if the units use a bit more power than advertised, its still going to be alot less than GPUs use. Just SHIP THEM ALREADY!! And if anyone from BFL is reading - one good way to win back my trust is send me an extra unit free - then all will be forgiven, I promise |

I have this feeling that all the idiots who scream that BFL is a scam will just disappear and make new accounts later this year. And there will be a few nuts that believe that hundreds of forum users are being paid by BFL to act like they got working ASIC's.
