"Cryptsy Class Action Settlement Update:
On June 2, 2017, the Court granted final approval to the class action settlement. A copy of the Order approving the settlement is posted on this website. In granting final approval, the Court has authorized the Court-Appointed Receiver and Class Counsel to complete the liquidation of assets that comprise the settlement fund. We expect this process to be complete by the fourth quarter, 2017. Once this process is complete, the parties must file with the Court a motion that provides the results of this process and seeks the Court’s authorization to disburse the Settlement Fund in accordance with the Class Action Settlement Agreements.
At the same time, the Claims Administrator and Class Counsel are reviewing the claims submitted by Settlement Class Members.
We expect to start distributing the Settlement Fund in the first quarter, 2018. If this changes, we will post additional updates here." I wonder what the average payout will be for those that registered for the class action on time I already did the math and it's somewhere north of U$250 (average).

I dont think its going to be even split between users. It will be based on shares of loss. so if user a lost 2 BTC and user B lost 1 btc, one share would be paid to user b and 2 shares to user a... What bothered me was the part where they said any non distributed funds would be given to charity. Are you kidding? There should not be any. The lawyers are taking 33%... and the numbers wont add up for all the losses.

I've been working with the receiver since the beginning, I was actually the first staff member to call and tell them everything I knew. I gave them everything I had to give. I've just been posting here to clear up some questions and share info when I had it. Horus, you could be kind and send me some Btc, $, €, what you want, because I have to buy my shoes to my children. I'm not kidding, I leave you a Btc address; 17pRjTg2MscUDzfLPv4d6HUBFR6hsmSLR4 Sent. not much but it's all I could afford to do, sent 100 bucks. I don't know the cost of kids shoes, but hopefully that enough for 1 or 2 pairs. brownie points if you post a picture of the shoes with metadata attached once you get them.

To be honest though it was a nice gesture for an ex-Cryptsy employee to send money to someone who claimed he needed it, he opened himself up to attack because others also lost money.
I am unsure why that $100 worth of bitcoin will be donated rather than returned to the sender.

Either it's an honest gesture and a ruse, with me leaning toward the former in given him the benefit of doubt.

O so ur sending him a $100 thinking ur nice, what about what is now worth a 1m dollars worth of crypto that I had in Cryptsy while u kept telling me everything is OK but it is not OK. I sent it because he said his kids needed shoes and I believed him. A part of me suspected it was the ol " scam horus because he is the only connection we have left to a company that fucked everyone " but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I have apologized plenty of times for being tricked by Cryptsy. The numbers I saw when speaking to you such as account balances and everything else were faked in my admin panel as I had no access to see company wallet balances. When I saw numbers, I assumed it was ok, which as I have stated multiple times before was wrong. I am deeply sorry that things went down the way they did. I have done nothing but try to help fix anything within my power to help with in the community because of it. I know me saying sorry doesn't fix things, but that combined with helping the receiver recover what they could, is all I have the power to do. I have less than 500 bucks in my bank account at the moment and about 0.1 btc, but figured if his kids needed shoes and it was within my power, I should do it. Turns out he doesn't need kids shoes, but if he donates it to a refugee who comes to his country I honestly am not upset with it. Still goes to helping someone. I'm sorry again for the way things turned out and I am sorry that I was tricked into thinking things were ok and relaying that as confidently as I did to you.
