No one factored in the amount of POINTS stolen.
All of them combined by all the holders on it's thriving market would have to be a good chunk of cash.
The guy who claimed to have hacked it way back said he got 80k worth in BTC dumping it with an exploit.
And that was even with them stopping the market and rolling it back.

It's just one more aspect of money stolen not accounted for..

Hi everyone - i worked for Cryptsy in the fall of 2015. Prior to that I was a moderator there. I heard earlier this week that Cryptsy coins were being sold on Bittrex and contacted Paul Vernon about it. And then foolishly decided to post about that on that thread.

You all can believe what you want about me. I have been and will continue to cooperate with authorities about Cryptsy.

As you all know, I've given away some MTR but have never sold any (as is very obvious). If you no longer want me to work on this project I'll turn my servers off and call it a day.

In parting, let me just say this - it doesn't seem to matter around here if you do the right thing. The goal is not to get information - those people could have done that just by asking me questions. The goal instead is to hurt people as much as is possible, and they're experts at that. I won't take that anymore.

- Keep seperated wallets to trade on different exchanges. (Unique BTC address for every exchange)
- Take and save screenshots of your deposit wallets from every exchange.

reason why i noticed is this website has made me over $500 and counting
(all converted to bitcoin of course) just by filing a claim on any of em that don't
require proof of purchase and bingo! check in the mail a few months later
after you've forgot about it. yeah of course the lawyers clean up but hey,
 why not get in on the action even if it is chump change. takes all of 2 minutes to file.
