Couple of noob issues for Win 64:

Step 1 new account - OK
Step 2 - Should text be all in red or does that indicate errors? Probably just text color?
Step 3 - I get "Fatal: blockchain db err: The process cannot access the file..."

What needs to be changed?

Step 2: The different colors of the 3 steps should help to distinguish it, no error
Step 3: Seems another gexp process is running, please close the step2 window (Ctrl+C)

OK yes, it works. Mining fine (testnet?). Should any text be changed in the files once we launch or is everything setup already?

I finish the guide with step 3 , with that console :

Code:
instance: Gexp/v1.1.3/windows/go1.4.2
 datadir: C:\Users\Joro\AppData\Roaming\Expanse
coinbase: 0x7b19037db71f10bd38c9a5e1608e6f50e7af2a87
at block: 7785 (Sun, 13 Sep 2015 22:35:33 EEST)
modules: admin:1.0 db:1.0 debug:1.0 exp:1.0 miner:1.0 net:1.0 personal:1.0 shh:1
.0 txpool:1.0 web3:1.0
>

All fine. Now you can...
check the peer nodes: admin.peers
show your accounts: exp.accounts
start cpu mining: miner.start()
check your balance: web3.fromWei(exp.getBalance(exp.accounts[0]))
...

Much more interesting then the other scam eth fork coin out some weeks ago with big premine.

And there is also a legit dev here.

Pity this premine is 44x larger than Shifts.

What % did these devs determine they will premine? I'm fine giving devs some premine. There is no ICO so they will not be paid for this project except for in EXP. You have to look at % of premine, not # of coins premined.

Do we start ethminer.exe while step 3 is running? Or, does it not need to be touched?I don't see it mining, I type miner.start() and it said "true"?

This crazy premine is a fact. No matter how interesting devs gonna explain it. That's their choice. It will take years to let community be a part of this premine beneficiary group so forget about any excuses.

We get 1% at the start for all of our initial work and cost, the rest goes into DAO's that pay out over time.

Do not create a war between SHF and EXP

It will just make both look bad.

Promote these first two coins as the best Ethereum clones.

The most likely scenario is both go up, or both go down. It's highly unlikely that 1 will do substantially better based on people putting down the other coins. Do not make this a competition. Anyone who has cloned ethereum already clearly has skills.

I would like to see the scenario where everyone is positive and both ethereum clones becomes really big.

If you MUST troll on a coin, go troll on Ethereum. They are the ones who ran a shady ICO, took salaries and then also premined ETH.

If you only own a CPU then it of course makes sense.

OCminer released the MPOS open source Ethereum mining pool code. Where are all the pools? Remember back in the day when there was like 10 pools before launch set up... and then remember when half of them were scams and stole your coins. LOL

AMAZING! Is there a windows 10 64-bit miner available for dagger-hashimoto algorithm yet?

100k reserve for the team and for initial bounties at launch, then 1 million slowly over one years time for the team with smart contracts. This means only 100k at launch available for the team.

10 million for the community DAO released slowly over time. This is not for the team, but for whatever the community votes on using the DAO, future development, bounties for DAPPs and so on.

This will only have value if we develop and bring value to it, so this actually means this there is likely some stability here over the long run, and potentially increasing value with more development over time. We can't release everything at once, but there is more to come and we feel this project will have value over time and last.

This sounds amazing. I will be making DApps. I hope to be able to claim some of those EXP.

This may also lead me to hiring full time software developers! This would be just so cool. Hiring developers. Managing them. Making money by releasing open source DApps.

One thing ive learned after 5 years in cryptoland is the amount of ego floating around here is staggering. Alot of people in this community see competition as opposition, as its us vs them. Competition is a good thing, its healthy, its what makes people release good products and good product support. However, opposition is the catalyst for FUD slinging sock puppets. Its the precursor to bent egos. The fact is, we can all co-exist and help each other be better. Thats going to happen regardless so why waste the time to create a new fud slinger when they could be using that time to work on the betterment of their own projects...? I think thats a mystery that will never be solved.

Do we start ethminer.exe while step 3 is running?
yes

I don't see it mining, I type miner.start() and it said "true"?
The console output is redirected to exp.log (see bat-file). Besides you can check the hashrate (miner.hashrate). For all this you don't need the ethminer.
If you want to mine with ethminer, stop cpu mining (miner.stop()).
Call (for GPU-Mining):
ethminer -G -F http://127.0.0.1:9656
