Im surprised that this Thread was created 6 years ago. But yet even if its 2017 OP is just partially correct. Because we just have reached a new high of 1539$ per coin this year which is greater than a hundred dollars per Bitcoin. As you can see Holding Bitcoin will make you profit a lot but it won't make you in an elite in anyway. Because he is expecting at a price of 10000$ per Bitcoin which I don't think is achievable in this present time.

Bitcoin is moving like crazy and if the craziness continues for next few years then there is no doubt that we will become super rich with bitcoins so the best thing would be to collect as many bitcoin as possible at a moment.
There's nothing natural or organic about the current price rally. I don't think it's possible for this rally to continue for "the next few years". I'd be shocked if it lasted out the year. The problem with collecting up more coin right now is you could end up being one of those poor bastards that bought during the Gox rally at near $1,200 and then had to either sell at a loss or wait two years to see your money return. I wouldn't buy more coin right now for anything. I will never pay this much for a Bitcoin and I certainly won't buy a ridiculously priced coin like $5k. The days of cheap coins are over, people here have had many years to buy from penny's up to the current price ..... Bitcoin will grow exponentially like every other major technological innovation and I think we haven't seen anything yet... Don't forget that most of the world doesn't have a clue about btc now and if you have even 1 bitcoin your children and grandchildren could be very wealthy in the future This is gentlemen!

$1300 ! yahhhhhhh.
We will be the new wealthy elite (maybe)
As long as the Core team is the most used software, we will be the new wealthy elite because their solid software and conservative approach guarantees the whole thing does not blow up. With Buggy Unlimited and other nonsense, you can forget about long term wealthy elite dreams. Thus far, common sense reigns, so lets keep going to the moon and beyond.

I never imagined the bitcoin with the current value, neither soo many projects working with it, supporting and letting it to grow, a lot new investors are coming and bitcoin is growing well at the moment. My projectios were bitcoin at 1400 with 2020 halving nowadays looks like we can reach 2000 dolalrs this year already.

I would not be so glad to be so early because it's a premature joy. Of course you are right if all the predictions come true And then we will be very rich people. But if you look at the statistics of the growth and fall of Bitcoin, there you can be a little scared.

Those people who are early investor for bitcoin and they have bought their bitcoins for a very low price, they are rich now but it doesn't mean that we are late because it is better to be late than never and we can still be rich if we have bitcoins or buy bitcoins now because the price is undervalued and it can go up to 10x from the price now.

Hoping for bitcoin more success .

[/quote] Are you saying price of other things grows like bitcoin in only 12 months from $460 to $1600 + Vinny Lingham still expects... https://twitter.com/VinnyLingham/status/860195103251378176My expectation remains that Bitcoin will hit $3k this year, barring a contentious hard fork or a systemic problem (fiat, tether, etc).

I knew about Bitcoin since 2011 and started getting really involved in late 2013. I was convinced that I was a late adopter. Even though the mood in the forums was mostly optimistic in 2014, I felt sad knowing that I knew about Bitcoin back when it was in the single digits and didn't act on it. I forgot about Bitcoin in 2015 as college studies got in the way. But those coins... I still kept them. I also had quite a few in alts too which I never sold. Now I'm selling 2/3rds of my entire stash and will be buying a house (fully paid, no mortgage) thanks to Bitcoin. And of course, I will be putting the money that would otherwise go into rent payments back into Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Because Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are the future of money. It is truly a technology that will span generations. Thank you Bitcoin.

Well, but the current decision mode is not appropriate either to save long term growth of Bitcoin. I think it is common sense that Bitcoin needs some improvements urgently in order to handle more transactions and scaling with the increasing popularity. At the current state, it is not ready for mainstream adoption. $1300 ! yahhhhhhh.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"

Seems a bit crazy to sell such a large portion of one's stash - unless you have a large amount of confidence of a price drop, and we seem to be in an ongoing bull market... But, yeah, I can see relieving one self of some decent portion of BTC stash, especially after such a considerable run up.
|
1) Self-Custody is a right. There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted." 2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized. 3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

Buying a house was a good decision. No matter if bitcoin continues to up and up who knows where, a house is essential and I would have done the same.
Right now the bitcoin chart looks like a "mother of all bubbles". It needs a correction.
