Interesting rumor that Zach LaVine is trying to force his way out of Chicago and into a contract with the Lakers.  I honestly don't see how this would work out with a trade, but it's fun to speculate about.  The crazy thing is that DeRozan wants to be a Laker also.  With the Lakers not having much to offer but Anthony Davis, it seems unlikely that a swap for LaVine would work and this is interesting because the Lakers have been trying to get DeRozan with a trade, and now the Bulls have 2 guys that want to play for the Lakers...  This is going to be one rumor filled trading window.

Yeah, read that rumors as well, I was really surprised that Lavine wanted out of the Bulls, since he was being made to be the face of the franchise. But it looks like he was frustrated on how the teams are turning specially last season when they got DeRozan because they expecting that they will make a final push.

They do good in the beginning, but when injuries keeps piling up, barely made it to the playoff last year and then exited on the first round.

There have been a lot of rumors about Davis' injury lately. With the Lakers, expect them to tank and continue losing their games without Davis, the chance of winning is slim when Davis is out
as we see LeBron don't have the role players to step up and give him the lift that he needs.

With how the West side upgrade their respective squad, it's a tough competition to place your team to the next round
unless they will come up with a good plan and the role players give something for the team.

Honestly I don't understand what's going on with the Lakers, it's unfortunate!
With the roster that the Lakers have, I have no doubt that they have the ability to be one of the best teams in the league, including being champions of the season.

But something is happening that not even the players or the team can solve, I don't know if it's some players' ego, lack of chemistry between the team, the staff, or something like that.

I performed some analysis on the game statistics of the Lakers against the Kings.
The lack that AD makes on the team is clear!

Sabonis got 21 rebounds in that game, I know it was his credit, but if AD was playing, I believe that number would be less.

Lakers got only 5 offensive rebounds, already the Kings got twice, 10 offensive rebounds!

LJ can't carry the Lakers on his back like he did in Cleveland...

It will take big changes to the team (or not) so that the Lakers don't sink further and make the situation worse!

Celtics are doing fine, it's okay to have losing streaks time to time, allows players to get out of that mindset of everything is guaranteed. If you keep winning all season, the players wouldn't know what to do when they are losing, so you need to have some losses here and there in order to make them realize even they could lose, no matter how good they were before, they are in a loss streak now and need to learn how to rebound from there and be better again.

This would allow them to seize chances and come back better during playoffs if it ever happens. They fought hard last year at finals, warriors is not going to be there this time around, they need to be ready for another chance.

Celtics will be just fine, and I'm a knick fan it hurts me to say this but they will be a top 3 team in the East so long as they run out Tatum and jaylen brown for the foreseeable future.  I can easily see them going to at least the eastern conference finals.  They are built to win myltigame series.

I'm afraid you are right. It actually hurts me little bit to see them b.tt of the jokes these days. When I grew up they were respected and Kobe alone carried the team with some kind of dignity as much as possible, even when they lose a lot. And without AD, they are almost nothing compared to the old days. I strongly believe Lebron should find himself a new team where he can achieve the rest of his goals and Lakers should start the rebuilding asap. Lebron's situation is getting more and more interesting everyday. No matter how many news or posts in here about Bronny and him, I can't believe that is a genuine goal of his. I think he should retire when he is still respected, should not be too late for that.

DeRozan is getting older, he wants that championship badly and as fast as he can, but in LaVine's case is hard to understand. He had become the face of the Chicago Bulls and it's going to be difficult to see him in new jersey.
I thought the Bulls were doing great with so many good roleplayers addition. But after their guard Lonzo Ball is injured every piece of the puzzle seems to be falling. Still no timeline for his return.

DeRozan is likely the one to be traded here and I think there's nothing wrong if he wants to be traded on Lakers or any other team, isn't this superstar are trying to do? They want to be traded wherever they want. I think it's early to tell if they will do good or not at this point but I've seen DeRozan and LeBron playing in the Drew League together and it's not that bad.

It's more of what the Lakers can offer if they are willing to trade for DeRozan, they obviously doesn't want their future picks as they denied it during the Westbrook drama before the start of the season. AD? prone to injuries, WB? past his prime already, so not sure who will be Lakers leverage if they are going to sit down and talk with the Bulls.

So for now, I would say that it's out of the talks for now, both could remain a Bull for the next year or so, unfortunately.

I think we have to look at it overall, yes they did a great job when the acquire Lebron and AD and won a ring. But it seems that Rob Pelinka is doing a worst job as GM. Got WB but then experience the worst season since winning a ring.

And till this year, they didn't acquire good enough players, the best they do is get Pat Beverly? yeah that was a good.

So we should look at the head office because that's where it started.

Guys, what do you think about this? Even without AD, will the Lakers have a chance to stand out in the regular season and go to the playoffs?

Lakers will face the Hornets, I believe it will be an easy game for the Lakers, but I have no doubt that AD will be greatly absence for his team

Lakers are a tire fire and need to get rid of anyone they can and start a rebuild. They are an embarrassment to Los Angeles honestly. Seems like it's where veterans go to die. Lakers in the 80's were excitement, same for the 90's and the early 2000's. Now they're a joke.

I think we have to look at it overall, yes they did a great job when the acquire Lebron and AD and won a ring. But it seems that Rob Pelinka is doing a worst job as GM. Got WB but then experience the worst season since winning a ring.

And till this year, they didn't acquire good enough players, the best they do is get Pat Beverly? yeah that was a good.

So we should look at the head office because that's where it started.

Pretty sure they got that ring during the short covid season. Had it been a full season, the Lakers likely wouldn't have won a ring at all. The need better ownership now that Jerry Buss is gone. His daughter is clueless.

Even if Westbrook is not a scoring machine anymore and barely create 20+ points, he's still one of the huge reasons why the Lakers got an improvement lately. Yes, it did start when he fully embraced his role as the 6th man and trusted coach Ham's decision that he's more valuable coming from the 2nd unit. Also, coach Ham started utilizing the former Wizards, Thomas Bryant as their center while Davis is having some issues and the results were better because they aren't that much having a hard time when Davis is not around.

It's not every time a player is at his best form, there are difficult phase for these players and some tends to bounced back while some can't proof themselves any longer. Westbrook is one of the keyplayer in the team and when he was at his peak, he did brace his team to the next level with his outstanding performance. The team have incredible players and they all have a very good chemistry between themselves. The Lakers are passing through some tough time but they always bounced back to glory ways.

And it's because they change his role as well with his second season with the Lakers, becoming a sixth man, obviously from the bench and it seems that he is also enjoying his new role, and still can make a decent score and last game if I'm not mistaken he has a triple double.

But the Lakers though still lack some players that will help them move forward this season and even if Lebron and Anthony Davis is healthy, they will have a difficult time in the West and probably will be in another play in just to survived this year.

Any team in the West will have a difficult time in the playoffs since the west is very stacked right now. Even the Warriors who I believed is very stacked team is not doing well right now. Good thing, it is still early in the season, and they still have time to acquire the players they need to get them to the next level. Let's see what is the move of Rob Pelinka to get the Lakers going and become competitive in the west. He still has over a month before the trade deadline.

Obviously, even the East are stack up, but what I meant is that if their position is around 8-12 spots, then every game is very crucial specially entering the playoffs.

So as early as this time, they really need to get their act together to at least move up in the position wherein they will not get into the play-in because it's going to be a do or die for them. But with Davis out and the rest of the roster are just performing so-so or below expectations, then chances are they will not going to be in the play-in.

Warriors case could be different though, they could be stack up, but they are not clicking, Wiggins and Curry is injured. Their second unit is not as good as last year.
