Let's hope that he will continue to take care of his body and he will not be seriously injured. He is still waiting for his son to be drafted so he will be able to see that his son will be playing with him or against him, that's the biggest achievement of his life, and that only proves that despite being at retirement age, he is still different because he is an exceptional athlete.

He can make a history and beat the oldest player of all time in the NBA which is  Nat Hickey who was 45 years during his final year. Lebron is already 38 years old, he needs to play 8 more seasons.

Utah Jazz learned their lesson the hard way when it comes to keeping players for a long time. Jordan Clarkson may have been performing better in the offensive end but I doubt they really like that kind of type, it's a mirror of Donovan Mitchell and they also let him go. Maybe they could keep Clarkson as long as the contract will be not that high so they can have enough room to add more roleplayers.

It made me go thru different teams but I cannot really find one yet where he would be best suited. Detroit Pistons might be a good spot as they lack a star player but there's a chance they will build up with Cade Cunningham being the centerpiece. Maybe Spurs, to connect the rumors on why he bought the place in San Antonio.
And I still have my doubts that the Jazz will just let him go, it could just be a strategy to force him into the same contract if ever no team is willing to take him.

Wild Lakers win, Grizzlies thought that they are cruising into the game, but the Lakers didn't give up and made defensive stops specially in the last 4 minutes of the game. I think it was just the breaks for them, Dennis with a steal and then the go ahead basket and lead.

Yes, the Lakers pleasantly surprised us this time, and I think many fans were impressed with their defense in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. By the way, the Lakers were down by 5 points with 1 minute left in the fourth quarter, and the fact that they managed to steal the win in the final seconds was really impressive. So if Schroder, Westbrook, and other teammates fight to win every game like that, the Lakers will still have a chance to make the playoffs.

Yeah, LeBron seems like he’s trying his best to carry that team to a few wins. So far they’ve been doing prettt well since the turn of the new year. I’m not sure how long he can keep it up, but with less than a month until he breaks Kareem’s record, you can see he’s on his A game. Hopefully by then Anthony Davis will be back in playing shape and can help LeBron carry the load a bit as they make a playoff run.

Some are speculating that LeBron is targeting to break Kareem's record in the 2nd week of February during the Lakers vs Bucks or Thunder game where the Lakers will host the game. That said, LeBron should be consistent in producing not less than 30 points per game.

If the leading role players will be consistent enough, I'm quite sure they can handle the upcoming games well and give the team some successive wins as Davis might return also next week.

He is really good and also he needs to be in a team where he can help someone who is a star player and currently struggling to be in the top 8 this season. The scores are just high because teams nowadays love to shoot 3 points, unlike the teams in 90's where games are very physical and they want to drive the ball more and less attempts in 3 points area.

I guess it's because the 3-pointer was introduced late and basketball players back at that date are more used to do some physical movements towards other players as they are more accustomed driving the ball towards the ring. Now I know that the NBA introduced the 3-pointer in early 1980's but the thing is, that wasn't implemented widely and colleges are also experimenting about it.

Anyway, back to the topic. Sacramento Kings totally deserves all the credit for achieving the 3rd seed because they worked hard for it as it wasn't an overnight success for the whole team.

This is absolutely great news for the LA Lakers and their fans. They may have been winning some of their games but they badly need that one guy who could provide easy offense for the team. With him back, they can start climbing back the ladder for a safe spot in the playoffs.
The Mavericks have 25 wins and are now in the 5th spot, LA Lakers have 21 wins standing at the 13th spot. It's not that far, all they need is avoid losing more and AD will be the answer for that to happen.
So I was not wrong when I saw Dean Wade playing again. Another piece of good news and now it is for the Cavaliers. He played for 10 minutes only but it should be good enough to start his rhythm. This will mean their bench got deeper again and Wade is one of the elites when it comes to defense, he just made the Cavs a lot harder to defeat.

Clarkson has shown intention that he wants to get his hands on the free market, so not surprised by not including his name in their 'protection' list, but let's see how Jordan or where he will be next season.

Right, but I think Lauri Markkanen is a different big guy as compare to Rudy obviously, I guess we wanted for Clarkson to stay with the Jazz and become their franchise, but it seems he want to explore so his name is not include. I think most of the credit goes to whoever secured the Domantas Sabonis trade.  He was a great pickup for that team and the piece that's finally going to get them into the playoffs.  Also, whoever thought up the BEAM idea.  Everyone in Sacramento goes nuts to light the beam whenever they win.  Even the players love it.  There's no doubt some extra motivation to get wins and let the city rejoice in the light of the beam that night.  I think people underestimate the basketball fans in Sacramento.  It may be a small city, but it's a city that goes nuts for the Kings and it shows.

The fg% and 3pt% is the main reason, you could say teams do not play that well on defense anymore but that is by design and not because of them. Just the hand-check rule itself is the biggest reason why defense is not as good as it used to be, back in the day when there were 2 players on you, that means there were 4 hands on your body, because it was allowed, and figuring out a way to get out of that was tough.

Hell Lakers lost the 2004 finals to Pistons because Pistons kept pushing the guards from very far away and that is an important reason why they won, keep pushing as hard as possible with hard defense. We do not see that anymore, it's more about offense.

LeBron James has good genetics, of course physical activity, food and training hard can improve that. LJ has 38 and can play like he's 20.

I still imagine that until he's 40 or 41 he'll still be playing well, maybe even at the level of an allstar player.

Well, I really admire Mike Brown's work. I don't know if people appreciate him enough but he did amazing job, amazing career. He is one of the big reasons of this Sacramento Kings. They are not doing incredibly good but still, seeing them ahead of teams like Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, Lakers and even Timberwolves is bizarre. In my mind, on paper, Dallas Mavericks are so much better team than Kings, but here we are. Very good job from them. As I saw in a news, someone said Sabonis can be in the MVP conversation. This is also very true. He is a really really good player with great basketball style. Kudos to Kings.

Glad to see teams like Sacramento step up it gets tiring to see the same teams at the top.  Sacramento crowd was awesome years ago when they had a competitive squad with Mike Bibby, c web, stojacovich, etc.  They have a fun team to watch but like you said zero defense.

He's got a budget for his physical care and it's not just a few thousands of dollars but they're millions. Yeah, that's an investment for LBJ and I'm also looking forward to the day that he's be able to play with his kids.

Watching some highlights of the plays of his kids are really interesting. They surely inherited the athleticism and genes of LBJ and that's why for sure when they're about to get drafted, whoever is the team that gets them, gets also the spotlight.

The Kings-Pacers trade that involved Sabonis and Haliburton is the first time that I see both teams benefitted from it. I mean often times, we always see trades where one team is obviously winning while the other one is losing. On this one, both teams benefitted and they are performing better than they was last season. Haliburton is leading the league right now in assists with 10.2 APG while on the other hand, Sabonis is the one who is leading in rebounds with 12.6 RPG. Both teams benefitted from the trade and now Sabonis and Haliburton are playing on their best season currently.

They will be in the playoffs but honestly it's a different story when they are in the playoffs. This team's lack of defense is not something I admire during the playoffs as we know how physical the game in the playoffs. They need to improve their defense first as that's their weakness based on my observation.

I like the ball movement, they are like a young Warriors, but the Warriors are a team who have a balance offense and defense.
