Yeah, Schroder was overconfident at that moment, and as a result, he probably made the biggest mistake of his life by turning down that $84 million contract extension with the Lakers. As for Clarkson, it's worth noting that he's progressing well, as he averages 20.7 points per game this season. So I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes an unrestricted free agent in hopes of getting a big contract during the offseason.

Yeah, you get the idea of what I'm thinking but it's not yet official and what teams do you think will be rushing to take him?

I heard about him declining the offer, maybe the offer is too low compared to his status now, but I have no idea that he bought a mansion in san Antonio. If we will use it as a hint, then most probably he is gonna with the Spurs and I think Spurs have enough salary cap to offer him a better contract. However, I think this team won't still make it to the playoffs.

I'd still wait for some announcement on this and what will be the development on this one. But as for his mansion, I've just seen it and have that thought that he might be going there.

Anyway, still a big possibility that any team would like to take him as he's known for bringing Utah Jazz up when he's still there. Maybe going to the Lakers again? Hmmm...

But Schroder says "There never was a contract". The report says Lakers approached his representatives but they preferred to wait until the offseason. I guess it will be different for Clarkson this time. Clarkson was raised in San Antonio and he already bought a mansion. Maybe there is ongoing negotiation behind the curtain doing by his representatives. Also, he is doing better than Schroder now.

Sengun had his first career triple double, and the youngest ever to have this at centre position as well. That kid looks like he could be something special given the right training and right way to use him, he is not bad at passing at all, and a passing centre is very vital in todays NBA considering it's a guard scoring heavy league.

Even Jokic doesn't feel the need to score every night if he could get his teammates scoring a lot, and three pointers are a lot more important. Most of his assists came from picks as well, he sets a pick with the ball in his hand, that's is move and he rolls to the paint as well so you either let the guard score, or you leave Sengun empty which he can score easily there too.

Yep completely a KNICK Homer but Jalen Brunson has been an absolute steal in free agency.  Everyone kept saying how the Knicks overpaid, by the end of his contract it might one of the best value contracts in all of NBA.  dude is so clutch in the 4th.  And my boy grimes killing it in the end. 

One of the best steals by the Knicks. Thanks to Luka having that big rest in the playoffs he was given more minutes to flex his skills and it's all worth the hard work he did.
Brunson is putting great numbers in his stats. What's more amazing is it doesn't come mostly from long-distance shots.
In that game against the Milwaukee Bucks, he registered 44 points but he only made 4 three's which means 32 points came from the paint or the free-throw line.
And that came from a 6'1 player which is literally the smallest guy on the floor.  How I wish Knicks will keep this guy for a long time and build a team on him.

Man what an ugly game by the Bulls tonight. Me too.  Dude is a winner.  Led the Villanova team to 2 finals in college.  Has always balled out and is just getting better each year.  Luka is ball dominant so he wasn't being used right over in Dallas.  Knicks got him for 4 years so let's see what the Knicks can put around him.  He isn't even in his prime years yet.  Need grimes to step up then they could have theor back court locked up for awhile.

Maybe the mansions in San Antonio is a good investment, and not necessarily him living in Texas to join the Spurs? But yeah there are rumors but no official statement released just yet. Clarkson is doing quite okay with Jazz, but a player like him would surely want a higher salary even if they don't make it to the playoffs. Dude miscalculated heavily rejecting that extension. If he play by the rules before making his own plays in the league, he could have enjoyed that $80m before going to aim for a free agent with high salary. Overestimating oneself is always bad. Jordan Clarkson is one of those players that are above-average but not something that you would want to get if there are also other options available. He's a good all-rounder with shooting capabilities and a sense of defense, but everyone can do what he does on the court with proper teammates. Hopefully he stays with Jazz and increase his value first before moving somewhere else and not making a mistake that he'll regret.

If I'm not mistaken, Marc Stein also reported this one mate. In any case, it's obvious that Clarkson is looking for a more lucrative contract that the Jazz have offer to him. And besides, they already clear up some of it's player and probably Clarkson doesn't want to stay too and wanted to test the market. It's a big risk for him, he is already 31 years old and probably looking for like 4 year contract which other team might not be willing to give him at this point in his career. There might be some teams are interested, but he could be disappointed on what they are going to offer him. So we will see what the future holds for Clarkson hopefully it will favor him not like Dennis Schroder  .

If I'm not mistaken, Marc Stein also reported this one mate. In any case, it's obvious that Clarkson is looking for a more lucrative contract that the Jazz have offer to him. Might just not like playing and living in Utah either.  They traditionally don't entice too many free agents.  Maybe because they are looking to turn the roster over with all theor draft picks so he sees the writing on the wall and doesn't want to ride pine in his 30s to let some rookie get experience.  There could be a zillion reasons why he declined.

But let's say Clarkson doesn't have a backup plan if he decided to decline a contract that Jazz will offer, I'm sure lots of teams will try to give him the best offers unlike in the case of Dennis Schroder who fully believes in himself that he is worth more than $84M four-year contract extension but ended up in a $5.9 million 1-year contract in the Boston Celtics.

In terms of playing level, Jordan Clarkson for me is pretty ahead of Schroder, and he is capable of carrying a team even though he is just a role player.

Declining a contract that Jazz will offer him will not result in the same as what happened to Dennis Schroder. But I agree with you, he needs to stay on Jazz.

I think there could be feelers now for Clarkson from some other team, I didn't know that he have bought some house in San Antonio, but that could be a hint that he is moving there somewhat.

So it's too early to tell at this point, he is still performing very well as the number 2 scoring option with the Jazz. If he can continue with this performance, thetn maybe he will get a good offer, more than what the Jazz is showing him.

But there is what they call "Hardship exception." So, honestly, I don't know if they could sign both players due to 4 players on their team being injured.

When Luka hit those threes the refs seemed to be calling everything against the Mavericks. It was like he willed them to victory while the refs weren’t making it easy on him. I would have liked to have seen the Lakers win but the Mavericks earned this one. Luka seems to make it a point to get triple doubles every time he’s matched up against LeBron James.

I agree, there were arguments in the past the Lillard is just wasting his prime years with the Trailblazers. They used to be one of the hottest team early, but now they are in the 11th spot and with that lost, their 5th straight.

So even if Lillard will score 50 points or more or made 3 in the logo, it's doesn't count. He has to make the team better, get into the playoff because as of now it seems that it doesn't look that way.

It's another Luka Magic day and one of the amazing performance he has this season. There's no stoping for this kid to pursue his dream to be one of the Legendary NBA player. Every game is a thing to look for when he is playing, also the Lakers was not doing bad at all but that's just the way it is, The Mavs are more making their shots which was the reason to win in the 2OT.
