The issue is probably on the 3 straight MVP award since there are players already that won it more than 3 times like Bron and Jordan but they haven't won it in 3 consecutive years. I am also optimistic that in case Jokic is the obvious winner especially if Denver remains in the top position, they will vote for him. And Jokic is still in his mid-20s, he still has a lot of prime years in him.

There is a rumor that Lakers want to bring DeMarcus Cousins back. He is expected to work out for the Lakers soon as the report says. Idk if Cousins is the right guy they are looking for that can help the Lakers get a spot in the playoffs and battle their way. Just like AD, he is injury prone. The last time I saw him playing well is with Warriors. Russ is doing fine in their last 4 games but not enough. If only Russ and Schroder are consistent, that way they have a better chance of getting into playoffs.

This is good if it's true, all I heard was he was working out with them (Lakers). DeMarcus Cousins had been marketing himself on Instagram about how healthy he is, and how he can contribute more because he is better.
I don't doubt that because I have seen it during his Nuggets run on how he helped them when Jokic needs a rest.
He only averages 13 minutes per game and yet he is an 8 points/5 rebounds/1 assists average on his stats. Given more minutes I think he could provide more than just fouling out because he will try to be careful with his defense.
This will be good news for him, he had been waiting for this moment.

There are bad rumors about this Jokic as 3rd time consecutive MVP to happen. They said, "NBA won't let it happen as it would set another record."
But those are just rumors and I firmly believe NBA won't be that selfish enough to stop what is transparent.
Most of the stars of this era claimed 2 time MVPs, Steph Curry and Steve Nash. The last time a three-time MVP happened was Larry Bird. That will mean Nikola Jokic will level to legendaries like Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, and Larry Bird if they give the 3rd one to him.
Will the NBA let this happen? I do hope they will.
And it's just rumors from NBA analysts almost like a conspiracy theory. If he deserves it, give it.

Yeah, I think it will be bad for the league to have Jokic win the MVP without him going into the finals? It's understandable if he bring his Nuggets to the finals and win the MVP at the same time and so it will be a complete domination.

But if he struggles again this season, although they are the number 1 team in the West, but we all know that playoff is very different, the atmosphere and it's a series. So better be Jokic proving himself with a ring instead of the NBA giving him his 3rd MVP.

Jokic might win but I like Luka to have his chance this season. Unfortunately, his team is not as good as Jokic.

Luka's shoulder has too much weight in it. Christian Wood became inconsistent. Dinwiddie is the same. Tim Hardaway on his normal 3-5 three points per game. Something must be changed, like when Brunson was around stepping up his game, and Luka was benched because of injury.

I vote for Jokic too. It's says valuable and I know Luka is one heck of a valuable player but when it comes to team value, Jokic has the upper hand and it's definitely making their team better as it can be seen on paper as top of the Western Conference. And NBA and fans always rely on stats, that's proven for years. If Doncic wins, I am still at peace. I love watching those two players.

Yeah, that is the argument against Luka at this point. Not that argument but he has a weak team as compare to Jokic in the past 3-4 years wherein he has Murray, Porter Jr as a big help for him.

As compare to Luka who has to shoulder everything, he has to play 110% everytime just to seal a win.

So just imagine if Luka can play with the likes of Murray, Porter Jr, for sure he could win and impact the team and probably get a MVP nod from fans.

Yep completely a KNICK Homer but Jalen Brunson has been an absolute steal in free agency.  Everyone kept saying how the Knicks overpaid, by the end of his contract it might one of the best value contracts in all of NBA.  dude is so clutch in the 4th.  And my boy grimes killing it in the end.

No Derozan, and Lavine was playing pretty good in the last 4 games including tonight.However, it was never enough as Monte Morris turned the game around late in the 3rd quarter with the help of Kuzma. The bulls could've win this game if Lavine get enough help from the other to score.
I though the Bulls would blow out the Wizards as they got a comfortable lead in the end of the first half.

The Lakers have Thomas Bryant, who has been playing pretty well lately, and I think he partially replaces Davis. So I'm not sure Cousins is needed by the Lakers, given that he's unlikely to be useful to the team due to his injury-prone nature. By the way, Cousins only averaged 9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game last season. To be honest, I feel sorry for him as he's only 32 years old, and he could have been in his prime, but that injury destroyed his career.

Yes, Thomas Bryant i doing good filling the void that Davis has left for the meantime and he is instrumental for bringing the Lakers to their winning streak and if I'm memory serves me right, he has game wherein he scored almost 30 points.

So no need to bring a experience player like Cousins, who also had some problems with this attitude and technical fouls.

And they don't need such kind of players right now, they have settled down a bit, they just need to bring Davis back again in the rotation and Thomas Bryant a good back up for now.

I see how Bryant adjusts with his role while AD is not around. Good thing that the rotation is also including him as a good option. Sometimes when you feel you are going to receive the pass, you will be more inspired to play good game.

Supporting you with your insight with adding Cousin, it will be tough for them if the opponent
use a running offense. We know how slow is Cousin now, though his offense still good if giving a

Yeah, it just baffled me how the Bulls will let this one slip away. They were leading up to the end of the 2nd quarter. But they were out scored in the 3rd by 20 points but they put a good defense in the 4th as they got back to the game.

But it was not enough for the Bulls, Zach Lavine 38 points and Vucevic with 15 and White with 13 and it's not enough.

Kuzma lead the Wizards with KP with 21, and Morris and Anthony Gil with 17 and 18 points to help them get this big win.

I agree, I put some money on them handicap man, ouch, they have a big lead that they squandered and they think they can just go back and fight it out in the 4th quarter. They were outscored 41-21 in the 3rd? it's either they didn't play defense or that Wizard is very lucky to hit most of their shot, high percentage shot inside and outside. I might stay away from beating on them because of this performance. I think even without DeMar they can beat a tired Wizard team without Porzingis and Beal at the lineup.

He was really playing good when he was in Dallas, and we all know that he wanted to play with the Knicks. So it's good that he got what he deserved, plus the money too and now he is confident with them and even have games wherein he scored 40 or more points, so it was really a style.

And it looks like the team 2 years ago, playoff bound and very confident. Unlike last year wherein the MSG fans themselves booed even with Julius Randle. Now Julius seems to find his groove again with this set of players around him.

Besides, they already have Thomas Bryant like you said and Wenyen Gabriel as their 2nd big in absence of Davis. Davis and Cousins reunion maybe? Remember they're teammates in New Orleans years ago . Nevertheless, Cousins was an all-star player back when he was in the Kings, but like you said, injuries destroyed his whole career, and I don't think that there is a way for him to be a better player at this moment.

The Mavericks gave him a low contract which he doesn't deserve TBH. Now the Knicks got him, and tides have turned with the team. They are better now compared to the Knicks last season. He is having his best season of his career. Can we just see him on the all-star next month because of how he is playing right now with the Knicks?

I don't think he is a bad addition to the Lakers team. he is an all around player, he can shoot outside and could also produce inside. Haven't you witnessed his contribution in the playoffs playing with the Nuggets last season? I think he is really great, they just need to manage his minutes pretty well.

Thomas Bryant averages only 13 points and 7.3 rebounds, but he is easy to predict as most of his production is inside, not a treat outside like Cousins.

One of the best steals by the Knicks. Thanks to Luka having that big rest in the playoffs he was given more minutes to flex his skills and it's all worth the hard work he did.
Brunson is putting great numbers in his stats. What's more amazing is it doesn't come mostly from long-distance shots.
In that game against the Milwaukee Bucks, he registered 44 points but he only made 4 three's which means 32 points came from the paint or the free-throw line.
And that came from a 6'1 player which is literally the smallest guy on the floor.  How I wish Knicks will keep this guy for a long time and build a team on him.

Nets is not good at all, and I can see why people think that they are confused about a second seed team being "not good" according to me. But that's just the facts because they had Durant and he could will a team there but they are not a good team at all.

A great scorer could carry a team during regular season because opponents will want to beat you normally but if you put up too much of a fight, they may give up, or simply they are not playing great defense on regular season. However, when it comes time for playoffs, they are just not going to be good AT ALL, they will suck, either with Durant or obviously without him, this team will not be nowhere near enough levels for a good run.

Those above figures looks better than Clarkson's current salary at Jazz. The man is probably playing it smart if his rumored extension decline is true. He knows he's not getting any ring soon so why not have a bigger pay day while he still has something to offer?

But if ever it happens I'd accept what Jazz is offering. It doesn't mean a bigger salary once they put you in the starter unit from the 6th man of the year.
He is changing, I guess it's too obvious not to see.
Bigger markets might be his target but being the face of the franchise is also a goal most NBA players are trying to achieve. He is now part of that duo with Markkanen and I think the Jazz management likes to keep it that way.
But, if he will force this kind of decision then he might find himself hanging waiting for a new contract.
