You can never be sure honestly, Westbrook was expected to contribute with the LA Lakers and yet he failed our expectations. It's better not to expect so much, Westbrook does have the talent, the problem is the chemistry with his teammates, so hopefully, he will finally fit with the Clippers.

He might also get a problem on LA Clippers since Kawhi is there and George they are the primary option on the rotation of Clippers so I don't think Westbrook will still fit in that knowing that he used to be the main guy on the team. Yes, I was also the same impression that Westbrook will not be a perfect team that already has the alpha on them. He was good in Washington because Beal was out almost half of the season So Westbrook was the main man, and so when Beal got back, they got to the playoff that year.

But we all know that he got traded to the Lakers and he didn't sit with the chemistry of Lebron and other experience that season, with Carmelo and Dwight and other veterans. Now he has been traded to a team with Kawhi and Paul George so we are not sure if he will blend or will distort the chemistry of the team since they are going well already.

WB landing on a contender. It will be a slap to the face of the Lakers who treated him as a scapegoat if he performs well and help the clippers land a championship. Hopefully, Coach Ty Lue can devise a way to maximize the skills of Westbrook. I think he will not be a starter but WB will be a great addition coming from the bench.

I hope that silence Westbrook's critics thinking no one wants him. Before, I think even in this thread, there are people who think that no teams in the league right now that want Westbrook without realizing that he's still versatile and quick and still a big asset on any team.

But the problem is that Clippers is already loaded with talents, and it's funny to think that WB's once team, Reggie Jackson on OKC was once a Clipper and now he will replace him in somewhat in that position.

But if as a starter and he can contribute far from their expectation then it's also a win. That's the leader in triple doubles so underestimating him just because the Lakers fanbase says so is just stupid for other teams no to snatch him after the buyout. He still have skills, he is still fast, and he ain't lazy.

I think they fit well with Kawhi rather than Carmelo Anthony way back when 3 of them plays for the Thunder, and with different coaching staff they have at Clippers I think it will be different too for Brody. I think Westbrook just need a chance of redemption but will not expect too much though.

They are just allowing players to take shots, no defense, just all pure offense.

That makes the all star game boring. They should change that; otherwise, they will lose viewers for the all star game. It's hard to bet if we cannot be sure that our team is playing hard, so the underdog is always the best choice. In this game, Team Giannis was the underdog; they were +2.5 on the betting lines, but they won by a good margin.

East vs West wasn't any better than this neither by the last years, go rewatch the highlights of those games and you will see that this was actually done to make it a bit better, and it didn't work, got even worse but that's the reason why we have this picking style thing, and the whole new point system is a bit weird, I think it would be better if we just had regular points and not this system.

The Lakers got rid of the player who technically ruined the whole roster because of how many players the Lakers traded just to get him and on the other hand, the Clippers got a facilitator, an athletic guard who can be a good point guard still.

Clippers are already loaded with talents I agree because they have Kawhi, PG13, and an emerging big in Zubac, but the risk that the Clippers gave is minimal. I mean if Westbrook will not be a good fit for the team, they can just bench him and give lesser minutes and there's no burden with the team whatsoever because the Clippers are already good even without him. I look at their roster, and I don't see any players there who is an elite defender (probably because they aren't popular). His energy inside the court might affect the whole team because looking at their last game against the Bucks, it seems like they are lacking of energy. Add also the fact that Ball will not play the remainder of the season because of the injury that he got before the season starts, they need at least a ball handler and Beverley can do it though isn't that good at it. Still a good pick by the Bulls for me.

Yeah, I agree. Steve Ballmer must be really happy now with the way his roster ended with good players. He got Gordon, Hyland, and Plumlee who had been aggressively contributing for the team. All they need is that little chemistry and they will be better. Strong starters plus strong bench, they are truly a championship caliber for this year.

The trade line opened and they are silent. Now, they took a bought out player and with so many options out there they choose PatBev. Not that I underestimate Pat, all respect for his defense.
But, is defense really what they need? They are struggling on both ends of the floor.

They can stay with a team have a close game, but they usually choke because it seems that their defense are falling once they are in the last couple of games. And maybe adding Bev will get them the needed boost and experience playing defense on those closing minutes of the game. Maybe Bev can provide that as what he did to the Lakers.

Maybe not a starter but if he can lead the 2nd team then it's still all good for the Clippers. As long as he can contribute and maybe if they are on the lead, preserve it while Kawhi and the starters are taking their rest. WB and Hyland, that will be a scary fast-paced game with both players attacking the rim.

Honestly, Westbrook is so lucky that he landed on this team and L.A Clippers has been doing great this season and with his addition to the team, I'm sure he can contribute more and push their performance into something new high-level play. If he can do well here, I guess this is their chance to play more aggressively and sufficiently to get through the NBA finals. I'm so excited to see what kind of roles he will take it that team and how will they look forward to beating the Nuggets, Grizzlies, and Mavericks.

You can never be sure honestly, Westbrook was expected to contribute with the LA Lakers and yet he failed our expectations. It's better not to expect so much, Westbrook does have the talent, the problem is the chemistry with his teammates, so hopefully, he will finally fit with the Clippers.

He might also get a problem on LA Clippers since Kawhi is there and George they are the primary option on the rotation of Clippers so I don't think Westbrook will still fit in that knowing that he used to be the main guy on the team. We already see his performance decline so bad on Lakers and this might go repeat in Clippers if he can't adjust on his new role. This is big challenge for Clippers on how they can work out with Westbrook if this deal will finalized.

Maybe it'll work out for the Clippers as they were always better than the Lakers since the Lakers decided to disband the championship team. The Clippers WB acquisition will either prove the Lakers were the problem or WB himself. Though there were changes with the Lakers offensive and defensive capability over their last couple of games, but that doesn't yet to show how the Lakers have been changed since the WB departure.
On the brighter end with WB this year, he just secure himself a playoff contender team, while the Lakers will have to work triple their way to secure a play-in spot lol.
