That was just an unexpected loss because Detroit Pistons is currently in the last spot in the eastern conference and many have expected they gonna win easily but the result is the contrary. Too much for Ben Simmons because he thought he doesn't really need to shoot in this game that's why he average 0 points this time. He might be just playing his role as a defender but that wasn't enough to help his team to win this time. Maybe in their next game, he consider shooting the ball because they are not at the alarming spot anyway because they are in the number 4 spot which is really impressive.

On the other hand, it will be a big test for them if Luka can't play for the rest of their games. Next 3 games will be against the Jazz, Pistons and Pelicans.

Tony Snell's stats in one game is far better than this one.

Though we already know that he wasn't the Simmons that he was when he is on the Sixers, but the good thing is that he is playing already and trying to redeem himself. It's frustrating if you are a Nets fan, but one game isn't enough for us to judge how he is playing. His stats wouldn't matter if they won the game, but unfortunately they lost and worse is that they lost to a bottom seeded team in Pistons.

Nets received Seth Curry who is a great shooter, but the main product was Simmons because of his high salary. I don't know if Simmons is really a bad player, but it seems like he was not fully utilized by the Nets based on a huge difference in his stats in the 76ers and his current team.

Not sure though if Joe Harris is a good defender, but as a shooter, he can lights out same as Seth Curry.

Perhaps its the balance that the Nets are looking right now.

Compared to Duncan Robinson he sure is a better defender. Joe Harris's defense is just like how Klay Thompson does defense. It's at a higher level than most shooter does.
Seth Curry had been inconsistent, I don't understand if it's a lack of game time or if he is just getting worst as he ages. The number of teams he jumped will be a sufficient reason unto why Joe Harris will be picked rather than him.
He had been in the Brooklyn Nets for a long time but when Kyrie, Harden, and Kyrie came he always lack the minutes given to showcased his 3 point capability.
We should not forget, he was once the 3 point shootout champion.

It was a surprise for me, Pistons beat the Nets, but I confess that Simmons' stats surprised me a lot, a big PG like him would have the advantage against a opponent, Simmons is one of the tallest PG in the NBA today.

Kyrie Irving's consistency in the last few games is spectacular, he's been helping the Nets a lot, because he's been on fire lately.

Honestly, Rui is not a good enough player just for the three second round picks, let alone Nunn, and I agree that Nunn is not good neither, if it was a straight up trade then I would say they are good, but three second round picks? That has to be terrible man, that's really not a good trade. Lakers basically do not have any picks left, they are trusting this team to either work very well and get a title next year (can't get one this year lets be realistic) or they will just suck for another 5-6 years in a row, not even tanking because they have no picks, they will just suck and that's it, end of story, don't even have a plan to get better.

Did you really expect that the Los Angeles Lakers can just have it their way and expect a good trade from giving away their second rounders? I mean c'mon man, let's be reasonable because we all know in the first place that the Lakers can't give a good package to any given team in-exchange for a reliable shooter. Rui Hachimura is quite decent and young as well, he's been favored because he got some history with T. Bryant and R. Westbrook back in the Washington Wizards, moreover, you can't possibly get any good picks in the second rounders. I'd say it's a good trade after all, not what we expect because they don't have that much to offer.

And speaking of Wizards, Westbrook has 3 of his former Wizards players in Lakers now, Rui Hachimura, Troy Brown Jr. and Thomas Bryant. Well we can say that it's a good trade as it will benefit both parties in this trade.

But in the long run, we all know that this is like patches things for the Lakers, they might not survived another season with this kind of players surrounding Lebron just like what happen to them last season.

All I can say is, Hachimura performs if everyone else around him performs. He's had his time in the Wizards helping here and there, but I don't think he's added some more value in the Lakers after being transferred there. Lebron and Westbrook will still be doing a solid carry for the Lakers if they want to be placed in a good standing for the playoffs with players of this caliber in their roster. Hopefully they pull through, but I don't think there's much chance for them given how tight the Western conference is right now.

I guess we will see it in the next couple of days after Rui Hachimura have his practice and drills with the Lakers, it's still too premature to judge whether if the Lakers won the trade or not because he is yet to prove himself wearing the Yellow and Purple jersey. We never know, he might get some good flavors and give some good production unexpectedly.

Adding 12 points in his debut is not bad though he will be tested on their next game agaisnt the Celtics, tougher opponent
that will test the Lakers chemistry now that AD is also playing back.

But so far while wacthing him moving without the ball and finding his space is showing his willingness
to adjsut and be that role player that the Lakers needs on this campaign.

Adjusting is normal because he doesn't have any options at all but to adjust accordingly and try to chase other movements regarding coach Darvin Ham's plan and so far, Rui Hachimura was good in his debut for contributing a double digit score and yes, we will likely see how him tested against the Celtics and not just him, the whole team will be tested but I guess this time there won't be any huge struggles as AD is already there with them.

I start to see a lot of trade rumors about the Dallas Mavericks wanting to take some other good helpers for Luka, one of them is Kyle Kuzma and the other one I think was D'Angelo Russell.

That statline was mocked for years but the fact was that Tony Snell was playing because he had lockdown defense on that game. He wasn't there to rebound or pass or shoot, he was there to make sure the person he guarded couldn't score and that is why he stayed in the game for 25+ minutes, if he missed many shots or gave rebounds or didn't pass to open teammates etc etc, he would have been benched right away.

Ben Simmons is not like that, he literally sucked, he has good defense too, elite levels of perimeter defense even, but the fact that he is insanely useless on offense causes a little bit of problems for them and definitely not something they should put up with more often.

He is the reason why Curry got ejected because of his early shot with more than 10 seconds remaining, but on the other hand, he is also the reason why the Grizzlies are now on a 4 game losing streak. Dynasty?? Dynasty in their dreams.

Stephen Curry had great support from Thompson and Poole. I thought the Warriors might actually lose when Stephen Curry was ruled out of this game after throwing his mouth guard which counted as a technical foul. This obviously happened because Poole did not pass him the ball when he was absolutely free. But in the end, Poole did the thing of beauty in the end which resulted in a win for the Golden State Warriors. I'm not going to lie. That was absolutely amazing what he did in the last moment of the game.

He did it out of frustration and who will not get frustrated with that play. They are at the crucial minutes of the game, your team got an offensive rebound, the shot clock is more than 10 seconds left and then you will just the ball out of nowhere? I mean that's a poor decision making coming from Poole, and clearly he is still unexperienced when it comes to times like that. Fortunately, he is the reason why they won and at the dugout, Curry waited for Poole there and Poole threw his mouthpiece as well and hugged each other after that. Player and mentor relationship .

Lebron has been in the all star for the 19th straight time, tying Kareem's number of all-star appearances. Now some might say that why they picked Tatum over Embiid and my opinion with that is, Tatum is playing better than Embiid this season and it's a numbers game. We also saw Donovan Mitchelll as a starter and it's his first time as a starter. I hope Durant can play in the all-star. Any snubs that you can think on?

I agree with your point about Poole. That was indeed a poor decision, Curry was obviously available and you just give the ball to Curry in those situations, period. We all saw that Michael Jordan was a bully but even though he was not, you would give the ball to him in those situations also. It is just the way it is. Same was for Kobe also. You just give the ball to Kobe. When Curry was available, Poole just had a bad decision and Curry was right to be frustrated. Although, he shouldn't have behaved that way. I actually didn't see that they hugged it out, that is cool. Poole should know better.

Tatum is also right choice this season for All star in my opinion. Even though Embid was great, Tatum obviously deserved it too and he is the right choice.

The bond of the Warriors is already deep, they understand each other and surely knows that there will be such a time that one or two of them will be having a bad night as it's also understandable because of the stress that will wear them out at most days. The important thing is that they managed to recover despite of the failures they had lately, there's still some room for them to avoid some unwanted situations so that they can still play in the playoffs.

Yeah he isn't getting an extension he will probably end up buried on a non contender who will take a flyer on him.  He was a solid player but mental health looks like it got the best of him.  Maybe he just walks away from the game who knows, either way it's a shame and hope the dude gets better mentally for his posy basketball.life.

Wasn't able to see the game so not sure if he attempted or not or there is a defense put up on him. I can only say that prior to this game, he did performed very well in a losing cause against the Philly and even prior games, driving and throwing his favorite hook whether with his left or off hand and surely he can make those shots while in the middle.

But in any case, if he is inconsistent then probably he still has that mental issues and afraid to take shots sometimes in games when the insecurities sets in just like in this game with 0 points.

It is very important that the chemistry is still intact. The good example is how the splash bro works, Klay knows Steph is the main man

That's why when these two teams meet again early in the season and the Suns won it after a big comeback, the celebration is like they truly got revenge on the Mavericks lol. They should really be bitter in their last year's playoffs exit as just imagined having the best record in the NBA and up by 2 wins in the playoffs against the Mavericks but still choking and losing it. And the worst, they allow the Mavericks to give them as much as 46 points behind, a literal choke.

I hope though that they will meet again in this year's playoffs to continue their rivalry, with no injuries and in a healthy lineup.
