1) An early start. LeBron came out of high school so it will be somewhat difficult for a player with a couple years of college under their belt to ever catch him.

As long though that those players, even not came out of high school, last long for at least 20 seasons, then it's possible for them to catch up.

The question though is, who probably has the high chance to break that record since if we just refer to the most players with currently high PPG today, it's easy to make a guess but the consistency is another question.

For now, just enjoy the show that someone is breaking a record that is tough to beat and it happened on this generation.

Yeah, that could be one factor as well as he came to the lead fairly young so his legs are fresh and we have seen prime Lebron on his first stint with the Cavs, he can score, but I don't think that during that year he is thinking of breaking Kareem's record or yet stay in the league for 20 years and getting stronger.

All we can do right now is appreciate his body of work, the record settings. At least in our lifetime we gonna witnessed it as majority here hasn't been around seeing Kareem play with the Lakers in the last 80's.

The All-Star Reserves for 2022-2023 NBA All-Star has been released. These are the reserves from both East and West.

New names in the All-Star game like Haliburton, Markannen, Sabonis, SGA and JJJ. TBH, there are many snubs with this one. Brunson? Edwards? Fox? Where are they? I mean they're better than most of the reserves out there numbers-wise right?
That's always been the case every All-Star, you will see surprised players in the rotation, last year the biggest surprised is GSW Wiggins, other question why is he even on an All-Star game. But he proved himself worth after the break and then help the Warriors win another NBA ring.

Same with the snubs, maybe Brunson and others doesn't have the fan base to push their names on the list.

But they shouldn't be bothered by it and just play harder.

Lebron and the Lakers climbing back from a double deficit at the start of the 4th quarter. Although Pat Bev missed two crucial free throws, he did make it up with a good defense on Haliburton on the last 10 seconds of the game. And then he denied him the ball on the inbound, and Buddy was force to throw a tough fade away in the corner. So Lakers won with the slimiest of the margin with just 1 point. Lebron's hit a 3 and so is Pat Bev, and then Davis seal it with a one foot fade away against Turner.

They really should separate records by decades. Everyone knows Lebron is a damn good player, just as they know Jordan,Kareem, and hundreds of other players were great. The issue is the game evolves. They added the 3 pointer in 1979 changing scoring forever. Nowadays, a player can take 100 steps before shooting. Not literally but it does look that way when watching. As the rules evolve, so should how records are recorded IMO.

Nice to see the Lakers get the win but LeBron only scored 26 so he’s going to need a big game against the Pelicans on Saturday if he’s going to break the record against the Thunder like people think. Personally, I think he gets the record against the Bucks easily and puts up similar scoring efforts in the next two games. Nice to see AD back and the Lakers winning.

Yes, I may have lost my bet with -4.5 for the Lakers on the spreads (I thought Haliburton won't play so I took the risk) but damn that was some entertaining game, especially PatBev stepping up his game.
A three and a big steal on Haliburton that was supposed to be clean but instead they have to waste their coach's challenge just to get the ball.
I have a very big question about the referees when they decided it was a successful challenge.
Ain't that supposed to be an automatic basket for PatBev? Because he was clear for takeoff and a layup after the steal. That's the official's mistake and yet they have to do it all over again on a side inbound. What a waste.

How about the Brooks vs Mitchell fight? The Grizzlies added more competition or... enemies.  Cheesy Brooks cheap shot, too obvious.

We are blessed to be witnessing that event where others thought it won't be taken down soon, at least not in the lifetime of Kareem. Now that he is getting close to surpassing that record, it would be really good if he can win at least one more championship he will be playing with Bronny and they will gonna best one of the hardest records to break in the NBA where father and son winning a championship and his son is in his rookie year.

Surely this is a life-changing event for Lebron James and we as a fan of the NBA, see history being made, just like Stephen Curry have done in getting the All-Time Leaderboard 3-Pointers Made, and right now he has 3300 right now James Harden is also about to overtake Rey Allen aswell because James Harden has 7427 all he needs now is 3 3 points shots, but let's focus on Karim Abdul Jabbar's record that Lebron is about to take, and pretty much Lebron James will still be playing for how long, because after this record-breaking he will now embrace playing with a family member of him, and that is his son Bronny James,

I think that his stay won't be anymore about record breaking. If he's able to break a record, that would suffice him as he's already made a history and with his stay.

I think the main reason is for him to play together with his kids and that's all. Whether 1 or both of them gets into NBA with the same team, the joy that he's got is there and at the same time the record is still there too.

Yup! the main reason why he is still playing in the NBA is that he wants to play with his kid, and right now because Lebron James got a target and he is willing to do everything to have that look what he is making, his giving the Lakers an edge winning some game, even without Anthony Davis,

But yeah after he breaks the record for sure the other thing he likes to do is to play with his kids in the NBA and yeah it is also great if he get his team a championship for it, aswell,

Curry has 3295 three-pointers so far, and I'm more than sure he'll be able to score over 4k three-pointers by the end of his career. As for LeBron, I think he has the potential to score 40k+ points by the end of his career. By the way, it's worth noting that Kareem's record has been held since '89, and LeBron's new record will likely hold much longer or be unattainable for future generations of players. At least due to the fact that LeBron had the time advantage because he started his career at age 18, while future players must be at least 19 years old to enter the NBA draft.

Well because these two players are still playing now and age is not really stopping them for now, they will surely reach the point where the young generations will have a hard time breaking it again, well this is surely annoying for future generations but if they have break it I think there are players that will likely can, but Curry and Lebron surely have the lucky times starting in the NBA as young guns,

63 points away from beating the scoring title.
Just a bit of a trivia that I saw in Facebook. Lebron James is the only player in NBA history that is in the top 5 in both points and assists. If that doesn't impress you as an NBA fan then maybe you aren't a NBA fan at all. There is also an interview where Lebron really wants to be a pass-first guy, but that changes overtime.

Anyway, his average PPG in his last 5 games is 32.2 and with only 63 points, the Thunder are the ones who has a chance to witness greatness. However, he averaged 27 PPG in his last 2 games and if he only scores less than 30 points in his last 2 games, the Bucks might be the lucky ones to witness it in person. Personally, I'm thinking that he might rest in the next games though it's unlikely to happen.

How about the Brooks vs Mitchell fight? The Grizzlies added more competition or... enemies.  Cheesy Brooks cheap shot, too obvious.

Brooks trying to be the Draymond Green V2.0 isn't he? Cheesy
Cheap shots here, cheap shots there, trash talking other teams. Still the word that made him popular is the term "dynasty" which is un-applicable to them.

But yeah after he breaks the record for sure the other thing he likes to do is to play with his kids in the NBA and yeah it is also great if he get his team a championship for it, aswell,

If Lebron's kids have the talents and deserved to play in the NBA, I began to think how is it possible to easily make both of them play in the same team. 30 teams in the NBA and 60 players to be picked. I guess that won't be easy unless the Lakers once again will make a sacrifice like picking them early just to secure it to the team. But it will be fun if it is possible. The easiest way though for it to happen is if those kids aren't NBA-level talents and the Lakers can just easily acquire and sign them.

If Lebron will stay long in the NBA and continues to average 15+ to 20+ per game, that would make his record very difficult to break. Guys like Luka won't even think of playing that long in the NBA as there's still a lot to enjoy outside basketball.

He started slow in this game, not sure if it is because of the good defense they put on him or he wanted to involved his team more. So in the process he didn't score 30 points or more.

Might be good to see him break it against the Bucks, remember Kareem played too with Milwaukee early on his career. So still there could be some connections if he break it against Giannis team.

Same here, I thought that Haliburton will not play, so it's easy to bet on Lakers handicap, but to my surprised he played and so it change the complexion of the game. Good thing is that the Lakers win in a very close game, Lebron and Pat Bev hit crucials and it's a nice decision for the Lakers to challenge that call although it's already a clear 2 points for Bev there. But then again, if could be a different outcome if they didn't raise a challenge.

Currently there are a lot of mistakes being made by the referee and the funny thing is, the Lakers is always the victim of those bad calls.

The All-Star Reserves for 2022-2023 NBA All-Star has been released. These are the reserves from both East and West.

<snip>

New names in the All-Star game like Haliburton, Markannen, Sabonis, SGA and JJJ. TBH, there are many snubs with this one. Brunson? Edwards? Fox? Where are they? I mean they're better than most of the reserves out there numbers-wise right?
Still in awe that "The Process" Joel Embiid was only on reserves this year when we see his stats they really are fine tbh. I think it all comes to voting too and yes there are lot of snubs again this time, this isn't the first time too that this happen. For me, Ja Morant should have been a starter considering he's a crowd favorite and could entertain them, I wonder why he's a reserve.

He just needs to be thankful because, unlike the others that have not even been there are now getting frustrated and they even posted about it on the internet like James Harden. What they can do anyway, is what the fans want and they are paying for the ticket, so they wanted to see their favorite players instead of those who are old star players that haven't been winning the championship all these years. They should not be having high pride in these fans' decisions and the best thing to do is support the all-star games so they will become memorable not only for them but also for the fans.

We have to respect the result because it's not only based on the fans' votes, there are a lot of factors that are being considered. What if he is just a reserve? he knows that he is good, and if he will play well, then most likely he will get heavier minutes.

The game between the Clippers and the Bucks are a good example of a playoff game. I'm glad that Giannis are very tough to carry the team to win the game as they were able to protect their home court advantage. He scored 54 points and 19 rebounds, this guy is a monster, I wouldn't be surprise if he wins the MVP this season, his closest rival is Jokic because both are very consistent, it's a battle of big man.

Also, while I'm happy with the performance of Giannis, I'm also impress with the chemistry of the Clippers, as if you look at the stats, everyone has really contributed in the game.

Cheap shots here, cheap shots there, trash talking other teams. Still the word that made him popular is the term "dynasty" which is un-applicable to them.

They will be hated in a bad way, GSW was hated before because they are too good during their runs. But it's the opposite with Memphis, they are too cocky, Morant, Bane, Jackson, Brooks and Brandon Clarke. They haven't proven anything and yet they talk about dynasty and trying to be the bad guys in the NBA. It's was obvious a cheap shot and they have been running their mouths throughout the game and so Mitchell just snap when he felt that shot thrown on him. And with that, they completely destroyed Memphis in this game.

Lakers won indeed but they made a comeback because they were down 15 points at some point and let's not forget that Pacers had the last chance to score and AD made a huge block in the last seconds that kinda won them the game because that ball was 100% in without AD block. Now , I'm not taking anything from Lakers away because it was indeed a great victory and a hard working one but I also must admit that it was AD who won them the game.

My team Bulls finally have won again and they moved once again in the last spot for playoffs just because Pacers lost to Lakers as the game itself was not so entertaining and LaVine having another mediocre game.

No one likes this team, they are a young team and yet they are acting without respect. Yes, they have been in the playoffs consistently, but what can they achieve so far? They are not even a champion yet, Brooks is dirty, even dirtier than Draymond Green, but at least Draymond had already proven something, and that is winning a championship.

They have a new favorite because the last time I check it was the Warriors who were the victim of bad calls, but now it got cleaner.
I don't like the referees assuming some players like PatBev, Draymond, or anyone who had been in dirty calls to take a bad call too although it's bright as day that it was clean. I mean, that will always be a waste of a challenge if they keep on doing that. Something must be changed, every game should be like a new player facing them.

Brooks trying to be the Draymond Green V2.0 isn't he? Cheesy
Cheap shots here, cheap shots there, trash talking other teams. Still the word that made him popular is the term "dynasty" which is un-applicable to them.
LOL, I don't know what's happening in that mind of Dillon Brooks and if I remember it right it was also asked on Ja Morant during a press conference. I think his answer was, "he (Brooks) is only competitive at a high level and there's nothing wrong with it, he is just misunderstood". Something like that.
Mitchell has all the right to be mad at that play, it's too obvious that it was done on purpose.

I agree, that's why AD is really vital for the success of the team because he can defend and create offense to win. In fact, I even trust him than Lebron James taking the last shot. What happened to Pat Bev this game? he missed 2 crucial FT's, good thing they won the game.

My team Bulls finally have won again and they moved once again in the last spot for playoffs just because Pacers lost to Lakers as the game itself was not so entertaining and LaVine having another mediocre game.
Bull had an easy win because Charlotte is not really a good team, good for them, at least they'll improve their ranking to secure a good chance to be in the playoffs.
