There has been a steady stream of rumors coming out of Atlanta in recent weeks, mostly about the status of forward John Collins. But while the Hawks haven't been able to find many suitors for Collins, their phone has been ringing off the hook about Bogdan Bogdanovic. Per Sam Amick, "half the league" has been calling the Hawks to gauge the possibility of a deal.

Half the league badly needs a shooter and Bogdan is one hell of one if given the opportunity. Right now, the Hawks are filled with outside shooters like Trae, Murray, Hunter, and Bogdan. Maybe that's why they are being targeted to trade him. But what do the Hawks need? I don't think they are lacking on skilled players but it's only the plays that are having issues.
I agree with that, they have been in the playoffs many times and they always win the first round.
They have upgraded their roster when they added Murray, I believe he will be a big factor in the playoffs, in case they'll trade Collins, I think their roster will not be affected that much, probably they'll improve.
It depends on who's player they will get in return for Bogdan, if I remember correctly, they also have a good shooting in Huerter that they give up last year and yet the team didn't change that much although they got Murray but his impact is not that big as it is expected.

Collins? that is a bad move because they don't have any big guy if they traded him.

Although you can't do anything if Collins want out of the Hawks. But he is a huge part of the team, him and Young already build chemistry together throughout the years they been team mates.

Yes, that's correct, it will depend on the best offer they could get, if it's worth it, then I think the Atlanta Hawks will bite.
Regarding Collins, yes I think he is one of the underrated players in the league, that guy can dominate the paint and before, he was good at shooting three's, I don't really know what happened to him. Perhaps, an injury was the cause of the sudden change. I mean, he still makes shots there but mostly 1 of 4 or 1 of 3. 36 percent there in 2021, higher in the past, but in the last 2 years it's down to 25 percent.
It may be the reason why he will come out on the trading lines because of that sudden decline.

Anyway, I do believe the Hawks will not move anything because there's no such sweet deal that may be offered to them in exchange for Bogdan or even John.

Yeah, it could be, what who is a big man right now that could be as good as Collins is in that position? His production drop because the whole team has drop as well, they are still on the .500 and rank 8th. And so there are a lot of work needs to be done in this team and I don't see Collins to be the problem, he is averaging a decent 13.1 ppg. So it might do them for the worst if they traded Collins in my opinion.

Yeah, he's should get 30 for the remaining games and he'll definitely there and we all will witness history  being mae. I've seen a trivia about his stats for the recent game that he's the first at his age to do a triple-double.

What's more interesting is that as he's approaching to hit those numbers. How much the price for the ticket will be for every close possible game that he'll make it.

Lebron James is so much invested in getting that record, Stephen Curry has gotten the most 3 points in the NBA and likely giving it extra mile in the years to come, I think if Lebron James would landed on that number he will surely still be willing to still play to further add to that numbers so the next one to likely want to break that record will have a hardtime, passing it,

I don't really know the price for the tickets but surely most fans want to watch history as Lebron James is about to break a record,
I think that his stay won't be anymore about record breaking. If he's able to break a record, that would suffice him as he's already made a history and with his stay.

I think the main reason is for him to play together with his kids and that's all. Whether 1 or both of them gets into NBA with the same team, the joy that he's got is there and at the same time the record is still there too.

Its all about record breaking since he could seal up his legacy and leave a good track once he retire. He is almost the end point of his career so for sure all he care right now is to break those records because it can bring all the glory to his name then maybe he can convince the other who doubt that he is the goat. Maybe its only a second priority to play with his kid since this is not big achievement but he maybe want to leave a mark to his kid about their experience playing with their father together.

GOAT discussion though is a different topic, others say that it is still MJ with his Bulls and 6 out of 6 in the finals.

While Lebron James is all above longevity, breaking records after record and then waiting for Bronny to come to the NBA and make another record of father and son duo in the league. And he is inching closer maybe in the next 2-3 games at home, Lebron will finally break one of the longest record and probably we never think that it can be reached by anyone.

LeBron going for 89 points and the record tonight against the Pacers? Probably not… I do think he’ll try to get over 30 though to help him stay on track to break the record at home and on TNT. Oddly enough though, TNT won’t be showing him play tonight and instead is opting to show the Grizzlies vs Cavaliers and Clippers vs Bucks instead. A little strange to be televising 2 Bucks games this week instead of 2 Lakers games, but as long as the record is on TV…

LOL. That would be hilarious. In last games he didn't look like he cared about this achievement much. He tries to win games instead of stat-padding. I'm sure if he really wants he can easily drop 60+ in a game. If he plays in next 3 games I believe he'll reach the record in Thunder game. Honestly I'm tired of seeing that countdown after his every single basket, let him reach the record so everybody can relax a bit.

Curry has 3295 three-pointers so far, and I'm more than sure he'll be able to score over 4k three-pointers by the end of his career. As for LeBron, I think he has the potential to score 40k+ points by the end of his career. By the way, it's worth noting that Kareem's record has been held since '89, and LeBron's new record will likely hold much longer or be unattainable for future generations of players. At least due to the fact that LeBron had the time advantage because he started his career at age 18, while future players must be at least 19 years old to enter the NBA draft.

I don't remember who remarked that we are already entering a new generation of NBA players that are able to score more compared to previous generations. Players with the likes of Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo are already posting great numbers consistently, so while it might take then 20+ years to get that record, pretty sure they will get there still. Curry, on the other hand, his three-pointers will surely be up there that will be difficult to cross. Luka might follow that road sooner or later, but that record won't be broken quite easily that's for sure.

Crazy ending to that Lakers game. LeBron got another chance to get a game winner but this time he passed the ball to Anthony Davis who then committed an offensive foul which ended up with the game going to overtime. They still won and LeBron moved a little closer to the record. Westbrook seemed to get a lot of crunch time minutes as well.

That was a lucky break for the Knicks, it's just that their last play was not planned well, I think it should be Brunson who should take the last shot as he is hot in that game, for sure if he missed it, he might get a foul. I don't understand why it was Randle who took the last shot.

Randle, as I observed him, he wanted to be the go-to guy of the team. I also consider that it should be Brunson to take that last
shot as he got a much better percentage, and he's not new in carrying a team.

Remember when Luka was out during the semis against the Sun's this man really help the team to win games and not to allow
Suns to take advantage of them.
When Brunson was still with the Dallas Mavericks, it was Randle who is the go to guy, unfortunately he is not a clutch player that's why they struggle in the playoffs. I think it's always the coach decision that has to be followed, the fact that he took the last shot, the design of play was probably on him.

But nothing that can be changed now, good to see that Lakers wins might be another controversial missed call.

I believe it was not a missed call, it's an offensive foul by the Davis, was challenge and the challenge was unsuccessful.

Probably, that was a call from coach Thibodeau because he wanted Randle to take the shot to see if how well he is in handling the pressure, you know just to see if he had some changes while they are still playing in regular games as it's better to know first who are the players that will be reliable enough when situations got tough because I reckon not all the time Brunson will be with the team and healthy.

But if you look at the game, Randle is not shooting very well, and that is why he is being criticize in this game. So not sure if this is a good play for coach Thibodeau to give Julius the ball and obviously Lakers know where it is going as he was double team in that last play.

Might be a better option for Brunson though, but it is what it is. Lakers escape with a big victory and Lebron is closing on that record.

Lots of game in for tonight, 76ers vs Magic might be very interesting and see if Magic can repeat it again.

That was indeed a bad call because apart from the fact that Randle is not a clutch player, the Lakers successfully predicted the game well that he will be the one who will hold the ball to shoot. I was really thinking why though, maybe the Knicks coach thought that the Lakers will defend Brunson as it is almost clear that he should carry it during the crucial moments, that's why they made a last minute changes because they thought that Randle will have some leverage.

That's for sure because this is a rare scenario and probably one of the most memorable play in the league because there will be another player who will pass Kareem's scoring title and that would take a lot of time before LeBron will get dethroned by someone in the next generations.

May take a while but maybe sooner. The way the game is being played right now, the scoring title can be over took sooner. We are seeing high scoring games lately and I barely see games with scores under 100. Stars are shooting 3s like it is just a perimeter shot. If this kind of game continues, a prolific scorer with a durable body will be able to do it.

Aside from that, the league is now improving and even the big guys now are shooting beyond the arc with high percentage. So different from what he saw back in the day because the big guys are focused to guard the center and doing the most physical play. And, I almost forgot, this season alone, it's quite unexpected that players are now easily putting 40-50 points in any given game.

This kind of discussion will never end and now, I think it already comes to the point where it is pointless to argue who is the GOAT. Is it Michael Jordan or LeBron James? People do have their own side why they choose LeBron or MJ and that goes with their biases as well. The thing is, if only the league gave some points about it in the past, this discussion is already through.

Probably but the key is how consistent they will be in the future in order to beat that record to be set by Lebron before he retires. Even if this guys are scoring 40-50 points in any game but they are not that consistent, missing games and injuries it will be hard to break that record.

There are no one in the top 10 of the scoring leaders that are active, the closest is #14 who is Kevin Durant, and then Harden and Westbrook #27 and #28 on that list.

Just wild to think that seats during the Thunders game costs around $75k and I guess for the Bucks too and I think that's where LeBron will make a history passing Kareem. Just few more scores for LeBron for him to pass that greatness but it's still crazy to think that he is passing a guy that only made 1 goal at a three point line.

It is the era where the big men dominate the game so it is just natural that he would score in the paint. And 3-point line was not introduced until he was already half his career. It shows how dominant Kareem is to be able to score that many with just two pointers.

That's for sure because this is a rare scenario and probably one of the most memorable play in the league because there will be another player who will pass Kareem's scoring title and that would take a lot of time before LeBron will get dethroned by someone in the next generations.

With only 89 points to go now it's starting to get exciting.  In order for LeBron to do it at home and on TNT against the Bucks, he's going to have to score 30 points per game in the next three games.  That's his average, so it isn't out of the question.  The pressure will certainly be on though as I don't think anyone wants to be on the other side of this piece of history.  Still, I'm looking for LeBron to try and put up 40 ppg in the next 2 games to make it easy on himself to make the record happen.  It is starting to look a little like it might happen on ABC in front of the Warriors fans though.
.

This is very doable with the help of his teammates. Hope they feed Lebron so it will be easy for him to achieve 40 points per game in his next 3 games. It would be extra special if they can celebrate their achievement in their own home.

I agree that scoring titles will continue to be broken.  Defense is a thing of the past and it's not the players but the rules dictate it.  No hand checking, can't guard in theor personal space.  Rules are built for scoring.  I think this year teams overall are averaging the highest scoring in nba history.  It's no big deal to drop 40 anymore or even 50.  I can see Luka challenge it.  Depending on longevity he started early like lebron and will average 30 for the foreseeable future.  Dude buckets.

Regardless of the age when Lebron enters the NBA draft, if compare to Kareem, the basis should be the number of seasons and games played. There's no time advantage or anything related to that.

Kareem played for 21 seasons with 1560 games.
Lebron is currently playing on his season 20 with 1407 games so far.

Lebron will be able to pass Kareem's total scoring points in 2 to 3 games.

I agree with you though that we might not see someone will break that record for at least 1-2 decades.

Yes, might be another decade or two for someone to break that record, Vince Carter played for like 22 seasons in the NBA but never got close to that scoring record. So it's a lot of factors, combination of them to be great to even get into the top 5 all time.

And now Lebron will be on top and no one can even, no active players. Maybe someone will break it, but it might take 20 or even 30 years even if the scoring average will increase.

I confess that I'm very curious and anxious for LeBron James to accomplish this feat, or rather, the whole world must wait for it lol
No one has been able to come close to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record for a long time, I believe that soon LeBron James will pass it.

If in fact LJ passes Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who could be the player to pass LeBron James? And how many years will it take for this future LJ record to be broken?

I think it would be fairly easy for a lot of players to pass LeBron if it wasn’t for 2 big things. 1) An early start. LeBron came out of high school so it will be somewhat difficult for a player with a couple years of college under their belt to ever catch him. 2) Injuries. Most players have their careers cut short or like in the case of Kevin Durant, miss a lot of time that keeps them from getting that many career points.

When LeBron is done, it’s going to be very difficult for anyone to catch him, regardless of how good they are.

1) An early start. LeBron came out of high school so it will be somewhat difficult for a player with a couple years of college under their belt to ever catch him.

As long though that those players, even not came out of high school, last long for at least 20 seasons, then it's possible for them to catch up.

The question though is, who probably has the high chance to break that record since if we just refer to the most players with currently high PPG today, it's easy to make a guess but the consistency is another question.

For now, just enjoy the show that someone is breaking a record that is tough to beat and it happened on this generation.

The All-Star Reserves for 2022-2023 NBA All-Star has been released. These are the reserves from both East and West.

Eastern Conference
  • Joel Embiid
  • Bam Adebayo
  • Jaylen Brown
  • Julius Randle
  • Jrue Holiday
  • Demar Derozan
  • Tyrese Haliburton

Western Conference
  • Ja Morant
  • Lauri Markannen
  • Domantas Sabonis
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
  • Paul George
  • Jaren Jackson Jr.
  • Damian Lillard

New names in the All-Star game like Haliburton, Markannen, Sabonis, SGA and JJJ. TBH, there are many snubs with this one. Brunson? Edwards? Fox? Where are they? I mean they're better than most of the reserves out there numbers-wise right?
