I still think though that with this issue, maybe Steve Kerr can do something about it next season if Kuminga is going to stay with the Warriors. But it seems that he doesn't want to play anymore and could be that the relationship has been broken already.
He’s currently a restricted free agent, and it already looks like he doesn’t really want to stay with the team anymore. Problem is, he’s not getting any real offers from other teams. If he does get one that the Warriors can’t or won’t match, then he’s free to leave. But as things stand right now, the most likely scenario is he just ends up taking the qualifying offer. That way, by next season, he’ll become an unrestricted free agent and can choose where he really wants to go. Anyone here knows who Jonathan Kuminga's manager? I'm asking as he needed some good advice right now in his career. And for us, it's obvious, step aside his ego and play with the Warriors, learn and re-learn from them. And when he is free agent then he might get a good offer in the next 2 years. Unlike what is happening to him right now, his career has stalled already and for sure the relationship with the Warriors team is sour and can't be fixed.

His value is going down, because of how kerr is doing to him, if he still stays there who knows if there is a team that will going to get him in a good offer, they will low ball him, definitely kerr is messing with his career this is so obvious taking you out in a game where you are doing better and scoring? that's at legit sign right there, they don't want him to have a breakout game, I've been looking in this guy, and he's a legit player, no disrespect to kerr but he got some issues, and it has not to reflect on other players career, the GSW have already had a great team when he comes, he just came at the right time, the prime team, look what happen when the players are aging, mark Jackson should be praise for developing the team.

That's how business works in the entertainment industry. I don't think the Warriors will get sour at him especially if they cannot find one to replace him. For Kuminga's agent, it will be wise to make a decision as soon as possible because he might not find a new home and it's going to be a bigger problem. Kuminga may be young but the position can be the problem. Most team have elite players on the same position so they might need one and if they are asking a price larger than what the Warriors is offering, it will be tough to find a team who will waste a cap space like that especially for a non-star.

And the bigger problem is that no team that is contending for title would go for him because it's not as though he's going to make them any better immediately he's barely proven anything to be worth a decent rookie extension, and he's demanding a no-trade clause be included in his Warriors last offered contract. Warriors are only going sign for a potential at most in the mid season imo, and he's not going to like wherever he's headed either because he'd need to prove himself all over again.

It is worth noting that Kuminga had decent stats last season, and I think he will find his place in the NBA anyway, as he definitely has potential. By the way, there have been recent rumors that he might sign a $45 million contract with the Warriors.

Well he is not a terrible scorer, 25 minutes and 15+ ppg is a decent player, so he knows that he can be great somewhere else where he gets the ball a lot more. Or at least he assumes so and if he is right then he can go play in some other team and show that if you let him shoot, then he can do better. He is not a three pointer at all, he barely got 1 three points made this season, for the first time ever. But that is just one time, and he is mostly inside scorer. Which is why it's important that we can see him do a lot better job at some other team where he shoots 15-20 times a game. He can do a better job and then when he does, he can ask for a lot more money. Instead of being some bench player who is asked ot be a role player here.

I’m sure a lot of you still remember Trevor Ariza, former LA Lakers player who helped them win a championship. He’s already retired now, but instead of enjoying retirement life, the guy is struggling just to pay child support. He even said no money is coming in anymore, which is kinda shocking considering he earned over $100 million during his NBA career. I'm wondering, how do players blow that kind of money? Bad investments,, or Lifestyle? Ex-Laker Trevor Ariza Pleads Court to Reduce Child Support Amid $14,000 Monthly Bill RevealTrevor Ariza’s post-retirement chapter has taken a dramatic turn. New court documents reveal he is relying on retirement savings just to stay afloat. He has not filed taxes since 2022 and is navigating mounting financial strain. He pays $14,000 each month in child support to Bree Anderson, along with another $10,000 for other child support and $4,000 in spousal support.
His monthly expenses now surpass $37,000. That includes an $18,800 mortgage, $2,000 on groceries, $4,300 in auto expenses, $2,000 toward education, and $3,300 in car loan payments. Most alarming, Ariza has reported a negative $230,000 bank balance and a property value deficit of $4.7 million, painting a grim picture of his financial standing despite a long NBA career.

John Wall has announced his retirement from the NBA. Once one of the most promising guards in the league, his career was marred by injuries and he was always on some stupid gang shit. He was explosive though. Like Russell Westbrook with a better shot selection. A shame he never reached his potential, but he was fun to watch.

John Wall joins Prime Video’s NBA coverage after retirement news breakshttps://nypost.com/2025/08/19/sports/john-wall-joins-nba-on-prime-after-retirement-news-breaks/Wall, who officially retired on Tuesday, is joining the Prime Video studio crew as the streaming service enters its first season carrying NBA broadcasts as part of an 11-year rights deal. The former Wizards star will join Blake Griffin and Dirk Nowitzki, who previously had been announced as the primary analysts, as well as Dwyane Wade, Steve Nash, and Candace Parker, who will be splitting time between calling games and working in the studio. What a lineup. I mean, those players are really good at what they did in their time in the NBA and WNBA. Some may not be champions, but played the game like champions, too. Griffin and Nash are both players who have kept on showing up in the Conference Finals and playoffs in their careers. Is this a show that will match other NBA news channels?

This is season is kinda like make or break for him. Since for sure this controversy happening to him might affect his future. I will not compare him to other else since I think his situation is different, but most likely he will sign back on Warriors since they are the one who give him most decent offer. But current they are on standoff and let see how this situation would end up on both sides,

It could be his lifestyle, you know NBA players live a luxurious life since they make a lot of money during their career. The problem is only a few of them are really good at managing their finances. Sad for him that he doesn’t have a career after the NBA, unlike other players who still get hosting jobs or coaching jobs. But child support is something he has to comply with, otherwise he ends up in jail. At the end of the day it was his choice to have children, so now he needs to find a way.

It could be his lifestyle, you know NBA players live a luxurious life since they make a lot of money during their career. The problem is only a few of them are really good at managing their finances.... Yeah, this is one of those sad but not surprising stories we see too often with ex-NBA guys. When you’re pulling in millions during your career, it feels like the money will never end, but the reality check always comes after retirement if you haven’t been smart with finances. Ariza’s numbers are brutal — $14k + $10k + $4k a month is insane burn rate when there’s no big paycheck coming in anymore. I agree with you, — lifestyle plays a huge role. A lot of players don’t downshift after their career, they keep spending like the contracts are still rolling in. And yeah, unlike some others who transition to coaching, media, or even business ventures, Ariza seems to have been left without a second act. That makes it even tougher. At the same time, child support is non-negotiable. He made those choices, and he has to own them. The system doesn’t care if you’re broke or rich, the payments are court-ordered. If he doesn’t pay, he risks jail, and that’s a whole new level of problems.

It’s crazy that with John wall’s retirement Paul George is now the last man standing from the 2010 draft class. It makes it really hard to believe that LeBron James is still playing and was a member of the 2003 draft class. That guy really is in his own category. Absolutely amazing lifelong commitment to fitness.

Sure is impressive. But there are also some of players from the draft classes before 2010 still active in the NBA. But yeah, the longevity of this guy is crazy and makes you wonder at least a little but if it's all clean, if you know what I'm saying. There have been some voices recently that made some allegations, well you never know. Anyway, dud is crazy what he is still capable of doing. I often play with guys that are 10-20 years younger than me and they almost never believe me that age makes such a HUGE difference. I only tell them "just wait, you'll see".

John Wall joins Prime Video’s NBA coverage after retirement news breakshttps://nypost.com/2025/08/19/sports/john-wall-joins-nba-on-prime-after-retirement-news-breaks/John Wall was an unlucky player all around, quite similar to Lillard to be fair. He was Wizards franchise player and he was an all-star level point guard, he was a star at that team, but they never built a great team around him. While there were some decent players at some years, he was never given a proper championship calibre team, and spent most of his life futile attempt to make them be good, and of course failed. This is why I think the later years was just chasing brag and that is why ı think it is important to realize that we are going to see him happier now if he moves to pundit life because he won't be forced to endure bad teams. He made some good money, more than any normal person does, so he should learn to love the way he lived, and the money he has and invest smartly.

John Wall has announced his retirement from the NBA. Once one of the most promising guards in the league, his career was marred by injuries and he was always on some stupid gang shit. He was explosive though. Like Russell Westbrook with a better shot selection. A shame he never reached his potential, but he was fun to watch.
Truly, he is one of the players that I loved to watch. I just found out about this news just now, and reading the article about him and his history. John Wall announces retirement from the NBA after 11 seasons: 'I gave this game everything I had'Yahoo linkI don't know if this is true, but I do hope it is. I can only speculate that during that era, franchise players are supposedly to carry the team without any "another" player. But then after that, we have the big 3 and others that's why as much as John Wall is really a good to great player, we was not able to carry Washington. But we can all remember that he has some crazy games back in his prime and yeah, we could compare him to Lillard career as both is great and even hit their primes with their team but it was not enough as they are not surround with players than can really help them to go to the next level.

It seems Draymond keeps whining, knowing he won't be winning anything anymore. He's probably the most protected player by referees in the entire history of the NBA. The kinds of actions that would earn any other player a technical foul or ejection when he does them he gets nothing. When he trash talks and argues aggressively the refs let it slide. Because he's been allowed to get away with so much, he keeps making these ridiculous statements. It's obvious he can't play basketball anymore. He should continue his career as a comedian with his podcast. That would be the best option for him at this point.

And with all of these comments from other NBA players about how they play, he should just keep his mouth shut. Maybe that's why he's never get traded and the Warriors are keeping him and not just about how physical he plays but also as an attack dog.

Well Draymond is Draymond, They are the NBA favorite they let GSW have their on way multiple times for the span of years, the moving screen, the fouls that is out of this world the refs, they all get away with it, they protected curry, but every players has to be traded when the time they no longer needed dray he will be traded for sure, they are just waiting for someone to offer for dray, and they will let them go, Poole should been a great second scorer they just like dray better.

LBJ isn't doing some Podcasts that's why he lots of time to maintain his health unlike PG13 where he focused more on Podcasts rather than his health last season that's why he played less than half of the total regular season games. Kidding aside, it's only a matter of time until PG will retire as well. The Sixers made a huge mistake by giving him a max contract only to play like that in his first season with that team. If he'll be doing the same, I will not be surprised if the Sixers will buyout his contract and there will be no more team that will be interested on him hence, retiring might play overseas. Lebron is on a different dimension when it comes to health. Imagine a 40 year old player averaging all-star stats still. We haven't seen anything like that that's why the NBA will be different as soon as he retires that's for sure. As for John Wall, he's another victim by "Great career ruined by injuries". He had a superb career back when he's still in Washington and he and Beal carried that team to the playoffs as well until injuries came. Anyway, congratulations still to him.
