Lots of talk about LeBron James going to the Golden State Warriors today after a report went out that said the Warriors had tried multiple times to trade for LeBron last season...  Might we see LeBron sign with the Warriors in free agency next year?  I would think that would be the best way for him to try and win another championship rather than cripple the team he's joining with a trade.  However, if Kuminga was the trade piece along with some picks, I could see this actually happening this year.  Would be exciting...

It's going to be a tough road for this team, if they'll manage to send Monk away, after sending Fox to Spurs instead of keeping younger stars, with Lavine and DeRozan then adding WB, not sure if what will happen to this team, though still need to see them playing together and how the coaches will help to make them competitive as possible but personally they be better to risk getting a younger star and developed him as their main key for their future.

They are making a mistake. Losing all those young players is a wrong move and they shouldn't have done that. It is smart decision to make sure that they end up with younger players because the players they have right now are already "has been" level players.

They are going to end up with a lot of old players who will not do that great for them. Of course they are named players and of course they may end up selling more tickets that way because they would have marketing more than other teams, because of the names they have. But that doesn't mean we are going to see them win, they are not going to. They are tanking obviously, sending all these young players away, and getting veterans means they are going to not sign back, and have clear space, bad results, and high draft pick.

I see your point and since that NBA is business now that's also a possibility that the management is no longer after winning but after the possible impacts of players that they might acquire, maybe they think that bringing WB to their team may attract fans to buy tickets and their merchants, not sure though but competition wise, it's going to be a tough journey if they'll going to send another great player away.

If Le-GM really wants to play with Curry in his "possible" final year next season, this can only be possible IF he's willing to accept Veteran minimum contract or at least a much lower 1-year contract that will not hurt the Warriors in terms of cap space.

We know that Le-GM already earned way more than any other NBA players, and if he wants to play with arguably the "Greatest Shooter of all time", he must accept a massive pay cut. If this happens next year, it's possible since he will be a free agent at that time, and as for Kuminga, let's forget about it for a moment because I already have a feeling that he will not get a $30-$35M contract this year, and he will be forced to accept much lower contracts just for him to play.

Do I see Le-GM playing for the Warriors? Not really, but I will not be surprised at all. We've seen him doing some hints just for him to go to the Headlines, and the most famous that I can remember is him using the Knicks' towel during an interview where many hinted that he might go and play there. I want him to be in the Warriors, but if I will be the one to pick, it would be best if he will play his final year in a team where it all started and that's Cleveland.

If this ever becomes true, believe me, ticket prices for every Warriors game will surely go up. But the thing is, are the Warriors really willing to pay more, also tax? Because I don’t believe LeBron would accept a $20–30M salary. He knows his worth and the impact he would bring if he ever played for the Warriors. For me, LeBron and Warriors fans are the most hyped and loudest of all. So it’s very unlikely he’d settle for that kind of offer. More realistically, it would be around $35–50M. Now, it all depends on the negotiation between both parties.

Both stats is solid numbers and we can say that they are somehow equal in stats. So provably that Kings is not losing when they trade Monk to other team since they have solid veteran all star replacement in presence of Westbrook.

But I also think their current roster is not enough to win a championship. Maybe they need to trade and get more solid players on their team.

I would say 4 points difference per game isn't just "similar", that is vastly different in this period because they are both not main guys and that means a role players added four points is a lot more. Efficiency is close to each other, that part is true, but I would say getting that kind of help is important.

On the other hand, westbrook is better when it comes to rebounding and assists, so he is a more well rounded player if they are looking for one. But the difference is that Westbrook is getting older, they can't get that many seasons out of him, this is a short term profit even if Westbrook was better, and he is not even that better. So you are giving away a slightly better player that you can play for 10+ years, in exchange of a player who you can get slightly worse for 3 years. That makes no sense, maybe financial reasons?

Kuminga though might not be enough as a trade piece, it might have involved future picks and other young talents of the Warriors to get Lebron James. Just look at how KD trade goes, it involves a lot of teams and if I'm not mistaken, there are also a lot of players involved.

So I'm seeing the same scenario for Lebron, but that is if Curry could still he healthy as he is the key for Lebron to move to the Warriors. Forget about Draymond, so it will be a big task and a hard negotiation to go around.

Not enough if we talk about Lebron to be added on their team. Warriors needs more since for sure Lakers won't let go Lebron just for nothing. Maybe there's one of there stars like Butler or Green will be added on package so they make let this trade to happen.

But I doubt that this trade rumor would really happen knowing that there are so many technicalities before this can come up with successful deal.

Many say that Lebron should go on Cavs for his farewell tour and I think this is ideal, but the question is does Cavs will allow it? So let's see what will be the next for Lebron since it seems that everything is unpredictable towards on which team he want to go.

I think LeBron could help them, and it would be even better if he retires with the Cavaliers since that was his first team. He gave them a championship before when he wasn’t surrounded by superstars, but now that he’s older he would need Mitchell to chase another title.

Curry, Butler and Green salary is already at 90% while bench players of GSW share on the 10%.

I’m not really sure if Bron will take a salary lower than 7% since that’s the highest salary he can get assuming he will adjust and trade with Moody. Curry and Butler need to give way in able for this trade to happened.

I don't think the Cavs would trade for LeBron.  They have to hope to get him in free agency next season, which is possible, but I think the King would rather play with Steph.  On that note, the Lakers have finally addressed the Golden State Warriors rumors by saying the Golden State keeps checking in with them about trading for LeBron, but that the Lakers are not interested.  So it seems LeBron will play for the Lakers this season.

In other news, Shawn Kemp was given ankle monitoring after shooting at 2 guys in a 4-runner a while back.  They allegedly stole his phone and he was tracking them to get it back.  Glad to see he won't be doing time.

Last season he already took a modest pay cut, but this time he chose to lock in his player option with no reduction. And it’s not really his fault, every player has the choice if they want a pay cut or not, and this time LeBron doesn’t want to.

By picking the player option he sets himself up to be an unrestricted free agent next season. But if the Lakers manage to win a chip this year, I think they’ll still re-sign him and LeBron would probably stay.

So there’s a real chance he could win a championship with them if he comes back. Imagine if he joins, the Cavs won’t just be focused on Mitchell anymore. They’d have a combo similar to Wade and LeBron back in the day, and I think that would make them a strong contender.
