I believe Kuminga will be better and improved on team that requires him badly.
That's the reason why he is not accepting anything that the Warriors are offering to him. He wants to be a star so badly that he needs to be on another team to show his talent. This is going to be hard, considering the deadline is near. The deal changed to $75M for 3 years with a team option in the last year. That's actually a sweet deal, but I guess he will squeeze every penny he can get and make the Warriors pay more just to get him. Well, I just hope that this won't end up like what happened to Dennis Schroder. The Lakers offered him a good contract, but he kept on refusing it until he ended up with a veteran salary on another team. If he declined the offer for sure he will be the same spot with Dennis Schroder since other team will bargain him already once there’s no one sign with him aside from Warriors that clearly just want to give him a chance this season because he is still a good reserve player that they can rely on when needed. Most of the NBA teams are already locked and loaded waiting for the next season. Kuminga should take Warriors offer then slowly gain trust of Kerr to include him on main rotation. He has 3 years for doing that tho. Not exactly the same as Dennis. He was a veteran that was on his way out of the league but was being offered a good deal to stay with a contender. Kuminga is an up and coming star who could develop into an all star caliber player but is being held down by his team. The right thing for him to do is leave if he wants to grow. They should do a sign and trade for him.

I agree but they can try with their current one + Lebron since their main big man is Dray who's good at physical playing.
If the LeBron-Curry duo really happens, I think these two veterans could surprise a lot of people with their performance. Of course, the Warriors can try to win the title without making major changes to the current roster, but it’s going to be extremely difficult. Imho, but they should preferably have a couple more good role players.

Seems keer dont want to be in warriors rotation, he should have start long time, but there are set backs I dont know if its kuminga or keer not wanting to be shadowed, or want to kneel, but if i were kumingga ill take it, since if they are not going to play him that is alright but keep making himself strong and ready, in the last year of the contract find another good contract, the only problem is that he can't attract other teams if he has limited minutes given by keer he needs to do something or just follow and swallow his pride for now.

I've read somewhere that the Lakers wanted to get Daniel Gafford from the Mavs? Not sure how reliable this news is, but it make sense as Gafford is the recipient of Luka's lob when he was still with the Mavs. And the Mavs still have Lively or even AD to man the middle. But it will take a lot from the Lakers though, it could include Dalton Gabe Vincent and future draft picks. Gabe is a good one since Irving might still be out for the remainder of the season. But it says that another team might be involved too in order for this trade to really happen. But let's see, it could be just rumors as there's not a news from the NBA. Maybe teams have settled down, working their plays as the start of the new season is very near.
This upcoming season, Gafford will be paid $17M in salary. I wonder what will the Lakers give as a trade. Also, they're already close to the 2nd apron already so for me, they can't afford to get another big that has a high salary like that one. Just to add even more, I don't think that the Mavericks will be interested in getting guards especially they already have Irving, Russell, Christie and Thompson. I think that the addition of Knecht or any of the Lakers' guard role players will have any huge effect towards the Mavericks. Overall, it doesn't make any sense at all, and if Gafford will go to the Lakers, they'll lose in this trade that's for sure. We know how dominating Gafford can be. Yes, he can't shoot threes, but he can give you 10 rebounds per game plus he's also a great paint defender. As far as I know, Irving is injured, Klay is not a pure guard per definition, Russell very inconsistent to me. So we don't know who will be the main guard for them. Plus getting Dalton they will have a pure shooter, Gabe Vincent a back up guard. But it seems that this rumor has been shut down by the Mavs already so not going to happen. But in any case, it will be a good situation for the Lakers having a center like Gafford is huge and we have seen the chemistry between Luka and Gafford already. Anyone check sports bookies yet? There have been scheduled games already, so you might want to check it out to align it to your betting strategy at the start of the season.

For sure they won't look at the possibilities to think about making Klay as their point guard. So the closest option they could choose is Russel and they have Exum, Hardy and Brandon Willams as back up point guard. Also looking at their starter this season looks like Russel have huge chance to play as starter on their team. Although he's inconsistent but for sure he can bring good help on their team. Mavs also don't want to let Gafford go and I think this trade rumor is already been shutdown by Mavs.

Yeah, it doesn’t make sense if they trade him. Since he arrived, Dallas really improved their inside defense, so I just can’t imagine not seeing him there. And don’t forget, Dallas had a bad run last season after reaching the NBA Finals the year before. It’s expected they’ll do everything to bounce back this coming season, and that means they won’t be trading away their key players.

Why not offer a first five role? I think that is what he is asking if it ain't about the money. The Suns also offered $80m for 4 years, so the Warriors' offer is higher, plus the team option. I also believe that he wants to be an ace. He doesn't want to be a defensive player for the team only. He wants to score and showcase his offensive skills, and that won't happen with Curry around.
But this drama will end very soon.
Probably Kerr doesn’t want Kuminga as a starter or an ace player since his style is not fit to his strategy plus the inconsistency on his game. As long as they have Steph and Jimmy in the roster I believe Kerr will not use Kuminga as the main guy unless he has no choice like what happened last playoffs when Jimmy is out. I believe Kuminga will be better and improved on team that requires him badly. It's not a "probably", but it's a certainty that Steve Kerr doesn't want Kuminga to be a starter, and it's because Butler and Kuminga are playing the same role, and if you're Steve Kerr, you will pick Butler over Kuminga, right? One problem also is that, putting Butler and Kuminga at the same time doesn't work for the team. They want to build a team around Steph and Butler so it's safe to say that Kuminga's playstyle isn't fit to the team. Let's also not forget that yes when Curry got injured during the playoffs last season, Kuminga played really well especially on offense BUT they lost in all of those games meaning there's a problem with him, and the system the Warriors are playing right now. If I'm Kuminga, I would rather a much lower contract as long as I'll be playing with another team because for me, he doesn't deserve a $30m-$35M contract like what he's asking. Heck he doesn't even deserve a $20M-$25M just like what the Warriors are giving to him. He's around $10M-$15M player if you will ask me.

Let’s not forget they also got the number one overall pick, Cooper Flagg. He’s a 6’9” big man and super competitive, so you can expect him to put up good numbers this coming season, especially if he gets a starting spot. And even if he doesn’t start right away, at least give him solid minutes, he’ll make an impact. This is the starting lineup I’d love to see: PG: Kyrie Irving SG: Klay Thompson SF: Cooper Flagg PF: Anthony Davis C: Dereck Lively II

The only challenge to this roster is how they can maintain this in the long run especially on the playoffs since most of this player are injury prone aside from Cooper Flagg because he is still new. Mavs is a strong contender this season if they can manage to have a miracle run without suffering a major injury on their way to finals. I think their solution on this injury issue is to lessen the playing time from these starters and frequently rotate players just like what Pacers doing before. This line-up is so intense to watch.

The West is so stacked up. Agreed, they should lessen their playing time. Aside from making it to the playoffs, their goal should also be to keep their lineup healthy enough to survive in the playoffs. That’s the problem with aging stars, they can still ball, but they’re more vulnerable to injuries. It makes the playoffs less entertaining if one of the key players from any team gets injured. The question now is, can their second unit step up when their stars are resting for a few minutes on the bench? If not, then the starters won’t have much choice but to play with fewer rests.

I’m not 100% convinced that it’s an age factor but sure it has an effect on why these players keep suffering injuries. What I’m thinking is the injury they suffered keeps resurfacing like the ACL and Hamstring that is persistent once the player already got this one. Players keep straining their body when they are playing so this previous injuries just keep coming back that makes them an injury prone especially Davis that struggling to survive a year without suffering an injury after a dominant play.

I think the 82 games are stressing their body, aside from that before the season starts they are already training, injuries return because they are not fully healed but they need to play specially if its the playoffs there is no choice, instead of resting they are more likely to play, also back to back games, every part of the body works in basketball, if someone says its easy think again, that is the reason why some retire early because of injury and they can't compete anymore.

"If" they can have them healthy, which is a great question mark, obviously they do not have them healthy that often which is the problem. I mean these are two players who are most commonly injured, and were injured together for a long time last season as well. So it is obvious that they are not going to get these players be playing together that easily, it's not that common, we are not going to see that. So it would make sense if we could end up with results that would be sad for them yet again. I understand they want to achieve a lot, and that is why they somehow sent Doncic for some reason, to get a win now, instead of later, but Doncic is better than all they have, hence they made a mistake and will fail.

One crazy thing about the Kawhi situation is the Lakers making public his demands (or his Uncle’s demands) to join the team. He wanted an ownership stake in the Los Angeles Lakers along with lots of other requests… I don’t think any player has ever been given an ownership stake as part of a contract. Pretty wild demand.

Mavs will try to bounce back and with their current squad they just need to have a healthy Kai and AD then rest will be up to their role players who are competitive enough to chase for the title, and like both of you mentioned Gafford is a good inside role player who can provide decent number and his present inside will give tough job to any offensive threaths.
Same thing, that decision to send Luka is a big mistake that the new owner did, a bad one for the business and most for the team, Luka is something that whoever acquired him he'll simply comes up to entertain the fans, ad from what we witnessed last FIBA games, that's a performance that fans will love to see. Let see if what's going to be for the Mavs this season, we can't conclude anything yet till we witness them playing together and running whatever the system they'll going to execute.

Wild indeed. A player that gets paid and then gets a part of its share? I don't think that sounds good, while no doubt he's a champion and did a lot for his former teams. But if I am the owner or general manager of a team, I'll just let it slide and let his quest go somewhere else and maybe that request might be granted based on their demands. Same thing, that decision to send Luka is a big mistake that the new owner did, a bad one for the business and most for the team, Luka is something that whoever acquired him he'll simply comes up to entertain the fans, ad from what we witnessed last FIBA games, that's a performance that fans will love to see.
He's a likeable player and it's already a done deal and Luka did played for the Lakers already, we can't go back to this bad decision of the Mavs anymore.

Anyone who cannot stay healthy enough to play a whole season, avoids the media, and IMO isn't really a team player doesn't deserve to own any part of any team. Not sure why the Clippers paid him under the table allegedly to keep him around. He is an ok basketball player, but there are many more just as good out there.

I agree, that if it's about the demand that he's asking, there are others who could do as what he does. But no doubt on his capacity but he's prone to injuries as well. I guess that this is why Kawhi is just maximizing out whatever he can get as a deal with the remaining years of his career in the NBA. While as for players asking for some shares, they get paid with millions already but on that type of deal, he only shows that it's all about business and just as how these teams treats them as well.

Do you agree that he's demanding too much then he will be out half of the season then go down in the playoffs when it matters? the guy can't be healthy the whole season, then demanding, yes he has prove it to other teams that he played, where he carry the team, but it should not be too much that you already have big salary and yet you want more, bring me 7 straight rings and ill give more that you wish for, the lakers always make it public its Hollywood.
