His suggestion is valid since AR is a starter player too same with Luka so there’s a conflict on position. This will work if the other player will change his role or dedicate himself as second unit point guard as substitute for Luka.

AR already have a decent value which Lakers can use to trade for a better role player that can compliment Luka play style since they will focus more on Luka now when building their roster.

AR is a good PG but Luka is much better.

I am seeing that one day that the Lakers will have to do this trade.

It's true that AR's value has gone up as well and playing with Lebron, he has taught a lot and learned from that.

Improved a lot and so, if they're going to make assets from this roster. Luka will be the first one on their roster and will have to trade others for added value and help for reaching a title.

But for me I think Lakers don't need to trade AR, they already prove that he can blend well together with their stars. Lakers should find good solution to create good chemistry with their current roster now since they already have solid players on their team.

I guess that they have conditioning training for him and he's the one that will be dependable on their offensive and defensive rebounds. He's also a scorer so that's a good role that he's playing for the team. It will be his confidence that shall make him play better and as he's traded to them. It only means that he's valued by the team and many players do want to go to the Lakers because of its fan base, this could be his time in getting known more often.

But we have seen it already that even if he has lost a lot of weight last season, he is still injury prone and can't lead his team. But since, BI has been traded or no longer with the team, Zion should be their number one option now.

Although he still has 2 more years with the Pelicans, I think it is also the fans that is getting impatient with him. I cannot really see the changes in the weight loss that is now part of his contract, and he only played 30 games last season. I would say Clippers could do it a bit quicker. They could just give Kawhi ,a player that is decent and have some value, for a lot of picks if they want to. Not directly, not like they are going to give Kawhi and get a lot of picks. What they can do is give Kawhi and get player X and one pick, then give Player X and get Player Y and one more pick, and then give Player Y and get one more pick.

And not do these right away, like over course of a full season, maybe next summer, slowly. This way, suddenly Kawhi turns into 3 picks, but gradually and over course of a full season and a summer. There isn't really anything that would be like this, and should be not a great deal of it and should be a good trading method.
