speaking of metallic trezors... The plastic case will be damaged if it's opened. How is the metallic one built / assembled?

So we'll be able to use the Trezor to essentially "store" both Bitcoin and Litecoin in the future?

Not in the future, that's something what's built into TREZOR since beginning. There just was no UI for Litecoin yet, but it changes with Electrum-LTC...

And yes, thanks to BIP32/BIP44, one seed can contain unlimited count of altcoins, so you can store all your cryptocurrencies on one TREZOR.

This reminds me of something: "Thousand altcoins in your pocket." Who said that? Smiley

so if we have hardware issues, we can now restore wallets through electrum?

Electrum added support for Trezor hardware, which means you can use Electrum instead of myTREZOR. But right now you cannot recover Trezor's seed directly to Electrum without Trezor device.] However, Wallet32 works like that.

can you advise how to do this? electrum does not seem to see the Trezor

Slush is there any plan to release another metal version and if so, when and for what approximate price?

Well, originally we did not have any plans, but people are asking for that on daily basis, so we started to play with an idea to build limited batch of them. The price will be unfortunately **cking high as cases are literally hand made on CNC machines in price of ~milion euro. Hour rate is a bit higher than I'd like. Original price of Metallic was set to ~$300 and I expect that the price will be set similarly (I hope a bit lower).

Also how close are the android developers to incorporating the Trezor? And can you tell us what android wallets you are currently working with?

There's our proof-of-concept trezor-android library (https://github.com/trezor/trezor-android). Right now we're in touch with Wallet32 developers, but I don't know very actual status of their work. Wallet32 doesn't have the greatest UI, but it has pretty stable codebase and it is very close to our needs (has support of BIP44/BIP39 right now, which is amazing).

It's in git master (not yet in stable release). Instructions for using development version are there: https://electrum.org/download.html

Then there appear new wallet type "Trezor" on the wallet creation/restore dialog.

I have read the documentation, but still have these questions:

1 With Multi-passphrase encryption (hidden volumes), can I have one without a passphrase and one with a passphrase?

2 Assuming i keep the seed well protected, can the passphrases be short?

I'm so happy!

I just checked out electrums trezor plugin... it rocks!

I can even name my trezor accounts (labels can even be synced accross clients, encryptedly via central server http://labelectrum.herokuapp.com/)

Electrums coin control features (freeze address, prioritize address, send from address) fully work with the trezor wallet.

Now I have the best of both worlds: a real local light client with a multitude of servers to choose from (or run my own) and coin-control features plus the security of the trezor.

Is/are there any link(s) for firmware update trouble shooting (1.2.1)?  I finally have found some time to play with my trezor but it will not sync once I disconnect, then reconnect with both buttons held down.

I get a warning that device driver software not successfully installed after I try to re-connect with both buttons held down.

I actually wasn't even aware of any HD wallets available for the android devices so thank you for pointing me to this one. In terms of the UI, yeah it looks terrible, but it's also very functional. The logical wallets is actually a cool idea too, and I also like that they use change addresses. If you could either help them with adding Trezor to their wallet services or convince them to do it themselves (maybe pay them a small fee?) that would be awesome. I already have an OTG cable and would love it if I could use Trezor while I'm mobile (on my phone).

I also know that mycelium is able to sweep BIP-32 keys, is there wallet capable of using trezor with a few modifications?

As far as the metal trezors go, $300 is a steep price. Are you able to bring it down to the $199 range if you order the CNC'd metal trezors in bulk? Have you looked into having a CNC school make them for you? I know they usually charge way less than professional shops and I'm sure they'd give a great discount if you bought them in a bulk order (they could see it as a means to get extra equipment or more advertising to bring in more students, rather than make a killing off you like a professional shop would want to do). Maybe setup a group purchase?

There are no metal TREZORs at the moment, so there is no reason to discuss the (nonexistent) price. Making them is much MUCH harder than anyone here can imagine, so we decided to focus on plastic ones and making software better for the time being.

What about my more important topics that I listed:

Having Trezor implemented with Electrum is perfect for a PC, but if you guys can add it to a mobile wallet I'll definitely purchase one myself.

Please don't shill for them about an unstable merger. I have just redownloaded electrum and it DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WITH THE TREZOR.

GOING ON DAY 5 OF NOT HAVING ACCESS TO MY MONEY ON MY TREZOR. SO YEAH STAY AWAY TREZOR IS A SCAM AS THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL, UNRELIABLE AND PLAIN RUDE.

I WILL BE POSTING THIS EVERYDAY UNTIL I GET MY MONEY OUT OF MY TREZOR.
