Then you can´t trade EGC at the moment ? Yobit - Still Maintance Bittrex - disabled Cryptopia - Not used enought C-Cex - Not used much too |

Why is EGC trading still disabled at Bittrex?
I have been in contact with Bittrex, as well as all the other exchanges in the way that they are most responsive with (I still haven't figured out what yobit is responsive with  ), asking them to upgrade to v1.2.1. I am sure Bittrex trading can and will resume once Bittrex performs the upgrade. |

I have been, and am in, direct communication with Richie of Bittrex. We are getting this resolved and Bittrex on the current v1.2.1 code so trading can resume. Thank you for your patience. |

I luv the transparency..
I luv the reaction time from dev team..
I luv the way they follow up _EVERY_ single issue and question.
Most devs hides or runs at the first sight of problems.

it is not a mandatory upgrade - bu it really 'ought' to be ... the bip66 inclusion and the PoS checkpointing 'should' reduce the risk of a fork to a very little sum ( like most other wallets anyway ) - as well as hardcoded seednode addresses to ease sync ... thats the reason why any addnode=xxx details in the conf files should ALL be removed ... but again - steven will verify all that when he gets back online ... he is asleep currently ( i should be also as its late here ) but morning should be soon his side of the world ... so in direct answer to your question - no it is NOT mandatory - BUT - for the benefit of reducing the forking risk and getting the benefit of the updated code and hardcoded seednodes - you should ... if you are on linux - and know how to compile - please do ... windows official / osx official is on steven who will verify when and where the new wallets will be ... all the seeds have been updated with latest compiled daemons and are running fine - and ive replaced the staking coins back into those seeds after a complete new resync on all ... so far so good - and we are on track ... #crysx |

im not sure, my balance was still there after the upgrade (deleted all except wallet.dat), look like there was no hard fork,
then to reduce the wallet size, i recreated one, there was no pending payouts on my pool
no mate - no hard or soft fork ... just a few code changes to stabilize ... and as you know - for anyone to ALWAYS backup the wallet.dat file ... #crysx |

Yes, Windows and Max OS X EverGreenCoin version 1.2.1 binaries are being built and will be released once thoroughly tested. This should be no longer than 48 hours but of course, sooner if possible. While your old wallet will continue to function correctly, you will not have the new improvements that will help ensure you do not get into an incorrect fork. For this reason, upgrading to v1.2.1 is very strongly urged. There is no hard fork so, I can not say it is "mandatory" in the sense that your older wallet will fail to function but it would be in your best interest, and therefore the entire EGC network's best interest, to do so. Sorry for the confusion and I hope I have cleared it for you. Windows and Mac v1.2.1 binaries will be made available as soon as possible. If you are running Linux, please proceed to upgrade and I thank you if you have already done so. |

An easy way to know you are not in an incorrect fork is by entering the official faucet that I maintain at http://coin-faucet.com/EGC/I process payouts every 24 hours at about 12 A.M. midnight Eastern Standard Time. Sometimes, for reasons both personal and technical, I do not get payouts processed at precisely midnight. Since community members may be using this as a way to verify their wallet is on the correct blockchain, I will make sticking to this time a higher priority.
