Just got started in my journey of crypto.  Chose to invest $50 of my $200 starting test funds.  Here is hoping I figure out what I'm doing before the $200 is gone.

Ok, I give up! My wallet is stuck at 1147947 blocks with 2 connections. I install the wallet, create the .conf, add a bunch of nodes and nothing. ne1 can send me or show me a copy of the VERGE.conf? in order to compare with mine and see if everything is fine?

Why is this a fantasy land? At max supply that would make verge at 16 billion marketcap?

It wont be soon, it could be never but it is not a fantasy land... If it catches Moners 2 billion marketcap someday that makes verge at 0.12c. Very realistic.

And if you consider that, at least i think so crypto world is still in early stages, probably more money will be pore into it, as i am sure it will surpass .com 500 billion marketcap...

This is more question for RSK team that is testing smart contracts for Bitcoin. After they release it XVG will implement smart contracts and become first privacy coin with this.

Please forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong way or in the wrong place.  I will take whatever guidance is offered.

I am trying to install the Verge wallet on Ubuntu 16.04.  I'm downloading from and following the instructions at https://github.com/vergecurrency/VERGE.  The install seems to go fine, but when I try to start the wallet it seems OK but after about 10 seconds it turns grey and stays in that state for as long as I leave it.  Eventually I get an error along the lines of "Fill color must be set to 1 or 0."  I won't have the exact wording for a few hours.  When it comes up I'll edit this post.

In the meantime, based on the information I've provided does anyone have any thoughts about what might be going wrong for me?

Edit:  I can't get the error message.  Not sure why.  I start the wallet, it goes grey and nothing happens.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, always the same result (as described above).

There are just sooooooooooo many coins circulating. The price will never get high enough due to the number of coins. Nakamoto found a sweet spot with around 21 million coins. Check out deeponion coin which also provides security over the TOR network, just with the correct amount of coins.

Nice...I dont understand why people start dumping immedietly when its starts to raise a little... Verge beign 0,004 is still so low, yet people start major dumping...
