For the first time I feel sorry for Verstappen, I am not his fan but today he was driving great and it was Red Bull team fault for his loss.Hamilton drove great too and it was the risky move from Mercedes with that pit stop which I thought race over now but in fact it turned out to be a winning move of the race.At least Max got a point for the fastest lap.

This is race and today's formula is more on tactic then driving. Mercedes made good call and Red Bull bad one, next time can be opposite. With well into second part and with this break until end of this month, dont have doubt that only real treat to Lewis is Max, Ferrari drivers are good but car evidently is not so good.

In the end last few races are into Max and Lewis, so after the break we will see who will be good in the end, next race is my favorite track Spa and I expect to see good race and surprise could be win from one of the Ferrari drivers.

Bottas is a good driver but Mercedes will never allow him to beat Hamilton, I’m sure they’ll ask him to make way for Hamilton in today’s race.

I really hate team order sometimes. It's as if one of the riders need to slow down and make a way to pass his friends so he can win the race. That's not a race at all.

I still believe Hamilton will win the race, has lots of experience behind him and he's really strong this season. It would be a surprise if he didn't win just because he didn't get the pole.
I'm sorry but Hamilton is not the favorite of this race.
For the bookmakers, the favorite is Max Verstappen with an odd of 1.95 for him and 3.4 for Lewis Hamilton.
1.95 is rather high so Verstappen is not a big favorite, but the odd for Lewis Hamilton is even higher.
So, there will be suspense this afternoon. Hamilton is in 3rd position on the starting grid while Verstappen is in pole position.
Verstappen even beat the track record during the qualifying session.

https://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-1/hungarian-grand-prix/winner
3.4 for Hamilton according to oddschecker. Finally, it was a very interesting bet with a big odd.  Undecided
Hamilton easily won with +17seconds against Verstappen, so it was a rather easy victory...

The problem with the Ferrari car is they focused more on the engine to make it one of the strongest if not the strongest in the straight parts of the circuit but sacrificing aerodynamics and we have all seen the results. They should be able to win their home race after Belgium in Monza as Monza is a straight circuit.

It is fun how both Ferraris had engine problems in the previous race in Hockenheim, even the fact that the team struggles to excel it.
I am sad to saay that they won't have any chance winning in Monza. Max and both Mercedes cars are more competitive in straight tracks.

good race, but a bit bored, because the distance between the drivers is quite far, the more confirmed Marquez at the top of the standings.

Sometimes it's the bike sometimes it's the rider. Sometimes when someone is just that far out front on a faster bike it all just gets boring.

On that subject.
I don't know how many people here have seen it, but BMW with the BMW Motorrad BoxerCup races have made it all about the rider.
Everyone has the exact same bike.

Yes it's the press blurb but:

https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/global/article/detail/T0296089EN/bmw-motorrad-boxercup-–-motorcycle-racing-with-guaranteed-edge-of-seat-thrills?language=en

If you have not watched them I recommend you at least take a look.

-Dave

yes that's good, like the MOTOGP of old, when there was still not much electronics included as the engine controller, at MOTOGP until 2015 before the ECU uniformity was still fun.

Marc Marquez Looking for First Victory in the Red Bull Ring. Marcz Marc has never once won an Austrian MotoGP held this weekend. Quoted from the US, among the 19 tracks that are now hosting MotoGP races, only the Red Bull Ring has never been conquered by Marc. In a row he finished fifth (2016) and twice finished runner up (2017 and 2018).

Suzuki rider Joan Mir will miss the race in Austrian MotoGP. He must be absent because he has not fully recovered after an accident in the test in Brno. He had an accident while driving at speeds of more than 200 km / hour.

Mir then hit the wall hard enough. The accident made the 21-year-old rider taken to the hospital.

Yep only Max and the Mercedes. Just wondering what Gasly is doing th last races. Everytime lapped by his own teammate. Don't think he will be long at RB if he don't improve himself.

Gasly cannot follow the pace and the performance of his teammate unfortunately.
During the last races, more rumors have risen which state that Daniil Kvyat is going to take his position next season, and Gasly will drive for Toro Rosso. We have to be patient and see. Maybe he will be better after the break.

It is the first season for Gasly and we cannot pretend for him to be on par with Max.It takes a bit of time until you become familiar with the car and how it behaves,Gasly showed great driving skills last year and that is why Red Bull got him in the first place.I doubt they will let him go away just after one season, from what I have seen Red Bull sees more than a season when they get new drivers but we will see.

I doubt that we will see him in Red Bull next season. Gasly isn't much faster than Toro Rosso drivers and he is even loosing to them quite often. Nobody expects that he can drive at Verstappen level, but Red Bull can't be happy about his results. Kvyat performed much better, butvhe was kicked out from Red Bull in the middle of season.

All point in that direction and for this change we will have to wait or end of this season or in between seasons to know little more about. Also just to add my local commentator also mentioned that this is most likely to happen that it will be change Kvyat to RB and Gasly to TR.

The reason why Gasly performs better is the fact that he has a better car.
I doubt if he would do better than Kvyat if both were driving the same car. Having said that, we may see a comeback of Kvyat to Red Bull in the next season.

it looks like Marquez will dominate the Race tomorrow, which is the motivation for Marquez maybe because he wants to make his first win on this circuit. resistance from other riders is always awaited.

It looks like another season dominated by Marquez and Honda,I think this will end like when Rossi was driving for Honda that the famous question arised,is because of the Man or because of the Machine that we are winning and it ended in divorce.I think it would be interesting to see Marquez riding for another team.

In Motorsports a huge portion of the wins that a driver does come from the vehicle.
I don't doubt Marquez's skills, he is a great driver but his motorbike is the best in the championship.

It looks like another season dominated by Marquez and Honda,I think this will end like when Rossi was driving for Honda that the famous question arised,is because of the Man or because of the Machine that we are winning and it ended in divorce.I think it would be interesting to see Marquez riding for another team.
Yeah, that bike is insanely good. The engineers who put it together are truly some of the best. Marquez is also at the top of his game. Putting the 2 together makes for an almost impossible thing to beat.

In Motorsports a huge portion of the wins that a driver does come from the vehicle.
I don't doubt Marquez's skills, he is a great driver but his motorbike is the best in the championship.
Agree, I think so too and therefore there is a desire to see top-tier racers using vehicles from lower-tier racers or try to experiment everything is exchanged. If Marquez can still be at the forefront of using low-end racer vehicles, then it can be said that it is an excellent skill.

Well, in motosports, the competition is not only between riders but also between team/constructors. A team needs to prepare a good bike for the riders so they can win a race and at the same time contribute to the constructors' competition. If Marquez or anybody else wins a race or championship, then the answer would be because of the rider and the bike quality. It doesn't make sense to assume that it's only because of the bike. Even if that's true, the settings of that bike or the quality of that bike come from their own research, trial and error, and so on.

Yeah absolutely it is the battle of manufacturers which is I think a good competition among manufacturer to show case their products and advertising and most importantly the development and applications of the new technology will be enhanced.
