So Toto Wolff released an interview today where he said something like:

We are using the oil on for extra power like the Ferrari last year but in a different way

HAHAHA, let's see what will happen but keep in mind Fia never punished NEVER the Mercedes.

Exactly what I explained why Ferrari and FIA made a deal,  Ferrari didn't want them to dig around the engine, because anything that FIA would find they would broadcast publicly so that Merc and Red bull could know on which parts and waht trick around the engine to work and find another way to use that that is in grey area again.

This obviously happened anyway.

I don’t think FIA is treating a certain team better than others because this brings them only loss of revenue especially now that the only revenue they get is from streaming.If FIA tells secrets to only one team it would not make sense as F1 races would be boring to watch.In fact FIA several times after a certain team dominance has changed the rules for the better of the sport.

You are not reading and understanding my post correctly. When I say broadcast to Merc and Red Bull I meant that FIA would go public with findings thus giving info to Merc and Red Bull. I didn't mention other teams as there is only three engine manufactors in the game.

And FIA can favor Merc if they threaten to leave the sport or Red Bull too, because they know 100% that Ferrari will never leave F1 and never did.

So with Hamilton winning everything and prolly proving that he's as good or even better than Schumacher, you guys think he's gonna retire after this year?  I feels likely...  

Verstappen to Merc and Vettel back to RBR.  No way one of the Toro Rosso guys or whatever they're called now move up.

I think that he is going to retire after beating Schumacher's record.
After his retire Leclerc and Max is going to get step.
Right now, both young drivers are under Hamilton's shadow.

Dunno...  But judging from how he is as of late, it just feels like he doesn't want to beat Schumacher's driver's championship record.

Reading between the lines a bit, and the fact that the news has been almost nonexistent ever since the accident, I think we can assume unfortunately that the injuries are profound and there is zero chance of a full recovery, and that this was apparent to doctors and family immediately.
It takes a certain type of person to be an F1 driver, almost as if they either have no sense of danger or else just enjoy it, and being right on the edge. On the surface, it seems bizarre that someone could compete in a sport as dangerous as F1, and then only succumb to a severe injury after retirement and in something completely unrelated... but it is of course related, the common factor being the type of person that is involved, and that fearlessness and willingness to take risks that makes great drivers great.

Lewis has reached a very good level in beating Schumacher's record.
In Addition, he has a great car that can give him the option to win a lot of races and championships in the future.
It is up to him if he is going to continue winning title or just retiring.

Kinda sad about what happened to Schumacher really, but even if he 'recovers' I don't think he'd be able to compete in F1 ever again. Just imagine the physical stress that 5 Gs of force do to your body, and based on what happened to his accident in 2014, I don't think he can still take that body of him in the track. I just wish him well and recover fully, even if it means that he won't be able to step inside the cockpit of an F1 car ever again.

As for Hamilton. The man got all the necessary recipes to beat Schumacher's records. Records are meant to be broken, and I know how much Lewis respects Schumacher but I don't believe that the thought of beating those records didn't sat on his mind for a while. Good car, great team strat and an overall good driving skills. There's nothing holding Hamilton back in making his mark past Schumacher.

I don't think that we can talk about such things like driving F1 car. It would be something amazing if one day he would be able to speak or walk. But looking at limited information that we get on press, he is far from this recovery phase. And we know how much time passed since accident, and seems that there isn't much improvement in his recovery...

It sounds like they are going about it the right way. Instead of sacking everyone and starting again, they are switching away from a flat management structure and more towards the system used by Red Bull and Mercedes, where there are clear areas of accountability. The biggest decision could be bringing Rory Byrne back to a prominent position and putting him to work on the 2022 car. This makes a lot of sense. Byrne is undoubtedly talented, and it would be a waste to have him making minor tweaks to this year's car and the 2021 car when he could instead play an important role in the massive changes coming in 2022.

I think it's a good decision for the long-term success of the team, but does it suggest that Ferrari have already started to give up on being a title challenger this year and next?

That is great news for motorsport and MotoGp especially.Marc is a really talented driver and it will add competition to an already competitive sport where a lot of overtaking happens and it is a bit more beautiful to watch on Tv.

This are excellent news and finally a move in the right direction. Rory is certainly a man for long term plans and vision. he can build a top car. I wouldn't mind waiting until 2022. for a real car and a team that has a head and the tail.

I see this as a sign that eyes have finally opened in Ferrari and we can look forward to some better days, one year extra does not mean much to true Tifosi.

However, I don't think that it will be good for his health to race after a surgery in such a short period. He is not going to be recovered fully and this might lead to a new injury.

@Cnut237 I’m really surprised that Ferrari isn’t sacking Binnotto, but this restructuring also makes sense considering how successful Mercedes has been after it’s implementation so let’s hope that it works for Ferrari too. @CryptoViking you’re right as Ferrari has indeed sacrificed a year because they’re planning for long term success which is vital for them, and in my personal opinion post 2022 they should be able to win titles like they use to win before.

It doesn't sounds healthy indeed. If he get injured again in his arm, he can he a lot longer absent then that he took some time now to get his arm be good again.

If you had a surgery few days ago and start racing again you're taking a big risk. But we will see how it goes.

I'm no expert, but often there's an easy way to do things and there's the right way, which is perhaps more difficult. It's very easy to sack the man at the top and say "let's start again", doing the same wrong things in the same wrong way, just with someone else at the helm. The right way I would think is to make an honest, in-depth assessment of the current status, and how this can realistically be changed in this year and next, and whether it would be better to add some focus and expertise to a longer-term view. The fact is Ferrari have no chance in 2020, with a shortened season and from a position so far behind Mercedes - where they are actually getting lapped in a race! Equally they have little chance in 2021 with the restrictions that have been put in place for that season due to the Covid19 pandemic. Perhaps with enough little changes they could be competitive in 2021, but it's a lot of effort for a single season before everything has to start again. I think the focus on 2022 makes absolute sense.

Yes hopefully in 2022 and beyond Ferrari can win titles again. But hopefully in 2022, if the rule changes have the desired effect, a lot of teams will have a chance and racing will be much more competitive and more reliant on driver talent than on the combination of driver talent and who has the best car.
