Yesterday I was switching TV channels and accidentally found NASCAR race in action. It's first big racing event after very long break. I'm not fan of this racing series, but it was so good to watch real live race instead of various simulators. And different from football, absence of fans doesn't feels that much during race.

The car that is going to compete in 2021 is going to be fully enviromental friendly.
Apart from that, it is going to be of a great design as teams want to make the car reach high speed without any engine power but more to be aerodynamic when driving in the tracks.
They won't compete with this car in 2021, it was delayed until 2022 because of COVID-19 pandemy. Development of completely new car is freaking expensive and it's really difficult times for F1 teams.

I think the teams will race with the actual car they have built for the year 2020.It is too early to jump to conclusions as I think teams are still completely focused on this year Championship and as soon as this one finishes they will start developing the 2022 car which will be as new rules require.For the 2021 season may or maybe not the teams can run an upgraded version of 2020 car and not a completely new one.

I am impressed by the beautiful designs of the car of the future of F1. This article was written in 2018, so it means a huge investment in technology. The future of racing, inspired by young people, is evident as Ferrari says. When you buy a Ferrari you buy the engine because everything else is a gift.

Yes looks very interesting and fast in this first sequence  Shocked so i'm exiting about the final cars.

About Vettel, when Alsono planed a comeback, than no Top Team (except Mercedes when Bottas fired) have a free place for Vettel  Shocked i don't believe at a return to RBR when Verstappen stay the next years.

It's coming later for sure but teams like Mercedes and Ferrari and Redbull pre-COVID spent a lot of money on building a lot of infrastructures to get an advantage later.

Also, Mercedes decided to make a team on Formula E where there is no cap budget limit only to spend what they want for the progress of the hybrid part.

So basically you can't spend more than X on the formula 1 car, but you can spend more in others car categories to get more power on the F1 car.

No reason for a cost cap.
If other teams had money to invest then go for it. But they do not have any right to stop Mercedes and Ferrari from building good cars that can give us entertainment because it is entertaining to see fast cars on track.

@coinlocket$ the budget cap has been agreed and it’s been set at $145 million for 2021, and it’ll further reduce in 2020 to $140 million and @Naida_BR yea this will definitely have a big impact on the big teams. Lastly there’s an update regarding the British GP as F1 officials are trying their best to stage the race, but they may call it off if the UK government doesn’t give them exemptions that they have sought.

Dunno... It could be good for the sport in the long run cos it levels the playing field and could get more manufacturers interested.  I wouldn't mind seeing Toyota and BMW get back in.

It will be useless as I said.
When they eared about the cost cap top teams like Ferrari and Mercedes started working on a lot of structures to get an advantage later in the next years.

Mercedes also joined the formula E with a team only to spend more money on the electric engine.
More teams will join others categories to spend money above the cap and intrudice the news tecnologies on the F1 car.

I mean they can set even a 100m € as cap but teams are already exploiting and invest everything they have by enhancing their wind tunnels for example and going red in the budget in these years till the cap will be a thing, to then have a technical advantage in the following years.

A team, always considering 100 hypothetical millions of caps for Formula 1, can invest another 300 million through other categories (like Mercedes in Formula E) to develop the hybrid engine.
In formula E there are no budget limits.

Once the improvement electric motor has been developed, you can transport the technology in formula 1 "free of charge".

The same goes for every single piece of a car, which I know, for example, developments on petrol, Drs gear and more spend on progress outside Formula 1 cars and import it at cost "0" for the cap.

If Coronavirus has hit massively companies like McLaren then I think that we are in a bad situation.
F1 is an expensive sport for the car industry companies so it is the first place that they are going to seek in order to cut costs. I hope that we are not going to read the same news from other companies in F1.
