I agree that the midfield fight is fierce and better than last years.However when we have not a fight for the title what is the point of watching the midfield battles.They don’t give you the same emotions as the title fight.We are missing Mclaren from a long time in the fight to the title and surely the Renault engine isn’t going to help to change this.Also we need more performance from Ferrari and Redbull because if things don’t change then F1 will continue to be boring to watch the dominance of Mercedes.

Things won't change this year, and they are very unlikely to change much next year, either, given that development has been much reduced and the regulation changes put back to 2022. It does reduce excitement when we are probably looking at 2 straight years of Merc total dominance - like it was in 2014, the first season with new rules after the Red Bull dominance.

But, signs are promising that the 2022 rule changes will not just be a reset for all teams, but will also bring the whole grid closer together as well as allowing easier overtaking. I know this has been said before, but it does look promising. If you're interested, there's a decent report here that explains why the 2022 rules should make it more exciting, and more dependent on who is the best driver rather than just who has the best car. Note, the article is a couple of years old, so refers to them as being '2021' changes, but as we know this is now postponed to 2022.

Seems like Mercedes is going to keep Bottas for No 2 driver in the team.
He does the dirty job and let's Hamilton getting the Championships. Sometimes, drivers like Bottas deserve to get a championship for his dedication to the team for all those years.

Bottas is indeed the perfect wingman and I'm sure his time will come to have a proper chance to win the title but that will come after Lewis secure his 8th title as I don't see the team risking another Rosberg Vs Ham episode even if that was super entertaining for us the fans. I think this weekend we may have a surprise winner in Silverstone round 2 but it all come down on how much RedBull can improve in one weekend.

FP3 results

We have an important difference from last week, this week Pirelli changed the compounds of the tyres, they are 1 tier softer so if we will have the same temperature we will have more tyres' problems.
This morning with the C4 compound, the red tyres they destroyed the tyres after 10 laps.

Well he is a good and responsible second violin He eats everything he is served, likes all the tastes, bitter, sour and occasionally sweet or bittersweet. He gets desert here and there and celebrates it like a good little boy.

Well, this story with Racing Point looks really ridiculous. As I understand, they were punished just for Styrian GP, while Renault made protest after 3 races. So, if they would be punished for all 3 races with same penalties, it would svery serious. Though, 15 points is already not small penalty for team like Racing Point.
But will they be allowed to use illegal parts  and gain advantage against their opponents in remaining part of season? If yes, it would be nonsense.

FIA, everything is possible with FIA. Your post summarized it perfectly. It is a complete nonsense and I don't see a way to untangle this safely. I presume Solomon will come , cut something in two and both parties will be half-satisfied with the solution.

That would most likely be the wisest choice for FIA.

The company really needs the team to raise their profile and give them some sales and recognition.   They should be highly motivated to succeed and make a mark if nothing else because its so important.

I presume everyone here is interested in F1 so its relevant to mention you can claim a PC edition of F1 2018 free if you want to store it away for a rainy day, no hassle to claim and register on steam I found and I know the site for years -

@STT I believe that in coming year’s they will have their chance to compete, because all teams will have to reduce their spendings from 2021 onwards which in turn will even the play for all the cars that are racing in F1. Also I checked out that gaming site and it’s indeed an legit site, and for F1 lovers this is a nice freebie as it’s worth $49 but free for 2 more days.

2018 was the last game that I bought from codemasters and I must say that 2019 was not so good but 2020 F1 is a masterpiece with some nostalgic cars and circuits. Also I do hope for F120 they will make an update as soon as possible to introduce the new circuits.

Tomorrow I think Max strategy will pay high if we gonna see 2+ safety cars.

Marquez is going to have this problem for the rest of his life.
He should take some rest for some weeks but this is going to let him out of the championship this season.
It is not also sure that Marquez's titanium plate is not going to create any problem again in the future.

Yes I think this action is hurting Marquez and the team. But why after the first operation are allowed for trials? Obviously it takes 7-9 weeks to cure the injury. With this case I think that Marquez must be able to accept that he is injured and stop his desire to appear in the next few race. Although his desire is strong, but injury prevented him. Wish him a speedy recovery and start racing again.

At time a very good race from Petronas Yamaha and KTM, a little surprise this standing but at MotoGP can Mord Factorys win than at Formula1. So wait and see if the soft tires hold up until the end?

First win for KTM after 4 years and about 200 days after the start at MotoGP ✌✌ and first Rookie win after Marc 👌
