The important this is the new steering wheel from mercedes, is the championship already over?

I think it already is.James Allison from Mercedes team just said we have a new device in our steering wheel and we are pretty much confident that it is permitted in the rules.I think that anyone who creates innovation has a big advantage over the others so most probably will be a boring 2020 F1 to watch.

The device is still "under investigation" but so far it should be allowed.

They spent on this a lot of money, a lot of millions so yes it will be a huge advantage for many months.

The odds of Mercedes winning are going down quickly.

I wonder why we blame Mercedes for bringing innovation to the sport and taking F1 to the next level and we do not judge other teams such as Ferrari who doesn't do anything to improve their performance.

Teams like Ferrari and Redbull spend over 300 million for a year in their cars.

Mercers seem to have better engineers but the past is not so clear.

They used illegals holes on their wheels.
They did illegals tests in the past.

New tests in 2 days and we will see the true potential of the new Ferrari and if they were hiding.

Keep also in mind that on the previous week they used aerodynamic form the last GP of 2019.

They will use a new nose for sure and a new back wing. Let's see if the Mondial will be over before starting.
The test will last 3 days and will start again on Wednesday at 9.00 AM in Barcelona.

Tomorrow due to the driver's rotations will be the last day of testing for almost half ot the drivers so is almost sure that they finally will start pushing (not to 100%)

Pole of 2019 was 1.15.4 here, best time so far is 1.15.9 by Bottas

If they push with the 100% of the power they can easily go near 1.14.5, around 1 sec faster than the pole of the last year.

I will be happy to see 1.15.0

I'm happy to see Kubica results. Ok, he is just test driver now. But last season when he always lost to Russel in Williams last season and he was getting lot of hate. But now when he is in decent car, he show that he can drive fast.
Also, it's good to see Williams improved a lot, they are much faster and maybe will be able to compete for points this season.
BTW, Today Vettel was fastest, while Hamilton is last after mechanical failure. Tomorrow is last day of tests.

Tomorrow will be the last day of test for the preseason, hoping they push till 1.15.5

@coinlocket$ thanks for proving an update out here, and it’s really sad to see that races are getting cancelled because of Coronavirus. Further I have a question if more races keep getting cancelled how will they complete the season, and do they have any backup days to reschedule these races?.

I believe that the 6 engines had problems because Mercedes was trying to test something extreme.
Last year they didn't have any real problem with engines and it will be so weird to see this happening in the following season...

I think it is not a correct decision from Qatar.You either stop every category or otherwise allow every category.What is the point for Moto3 and Moto2 to race and to forbid the premier class.We know about the spread of corona virus but Qatar has enough resources to contain suspicious passengers.

And it's really not expected for the drivers to push hard before the start of season.  Consistency and getting more laps in are more important imo.

Mercedes' engine got problems on Mercedes and Williams, they got no problems on the pink Mercedes aka Racing point.

They were talking about problems caused by the new philosophy of the cars present on Mercedes and Williams, the philosophy to have a very snell car on the back with low circulation of air and bad cooling.

The pink Mercedes uses the 2019 line and got 0 problems.

I agree, this decision just doesn't makes sense. If they are so afraid about virus, they should cancel all categories.
I read news that Thailand GP will be delayed, or it can be even cancelled. It's sad to see such news. I think there is too much panic about Coronavirus. Because it's not much more dangerous than typical flu.

Finally, the F1 championship is starting.
I don't think that Rebdull or Ferrari is going to compete Mercedes again. Hamilton seems ready to get another title and go on the top of the Hall of Fame in F1 History.
