Hi all, I have a new rig and I've tried all the tricks in the book but my cards are stuck at 22mhz. I've tried all the different crimson drivers, re-installed windows, did DDU, updated the BIOS, tried different version of claymore, modified afterburner config and still nothing. In afterburner if I try to overclock memory past 1900 i get blue/white screen and even if I go less than 1900 my hash rate decreases from 22 to 19. Any suggestions how to fix this? I am trying with rx480 4gb on windows 10 claymore 9.3 and crimson 16.9 (but have tried other versions).

Try the newest AMD drivers (I think 17.3.4 or something like that) and then use them using the Pixel Patcher (Google for it). I am using the newest drivers patched and they are hashing well. Are you sure you used a modded ROM for the memory type in your card. The memory used in the cards can change from run to run. So a mod for your card for one memory type might not work properly or has well if you have another memory type in your card. Check out youtube videos from cryptomined and others. They have lots of good information about modding, putting together rigs, etc. It also might be an issue with the BIOS on your motherboard. Some just do mine well. Make sure your motherboard BIOS is the latest available for your board.

I have the latest version of my bios and have tried latest crimson drivers- I have not modded any of the cards unless you meant memory clock which I have tried to modify but computer crashes every time I do so. I will take a look at the pixel patcher you mentioned. My board is a z97 guard pro.

To get more speed you need to mod the VBIOS on the graphics card. There are many youtube videos on how to do this. On most cards, depending on the memory (use GPU-Z to read memory type) and copy the memory straps from 1500 to all higher values. You need atiflash 2.7.4 and Polaris editor. Search youtube for videos on modding the bios for your band and type of card. Then go from there.

Yes i saw this but I didnt have to go through this process with my other rig where i can get 28.5-29 without any modding of the BIOS'

Hello my Claymore's v9.3 stop working after 3 days just turn off and when i try turn on it get frozen at Opencl intializing then windows show "program stop working" i have card msi rx 570 armor oc. what to do?
Thanks for help.

Reinstall the driver.

Reinstalling the drivers does not help, only restoring the system to a setting (after installation) allows you to start mining. But then again, after turning off Claymore again does not want to run. I am working on windows 10.
I REALLY NEED HELP Sad

Can you try reducing the clock frequency? Or wait a bit longer after the Windows start and then start the mining.

is one thing more what i see when it work Claymore show my card have 4gb and when dont want work the Claymore show the card have 3gb and ged frozen

And it happend not only when i turn off windows is always when i turn off Claymore, in last night i had no power for 5 minutes, computer start alone but the program not, and later after 6h i try turn on it and it still dont wanted work. i dont know what to do

Help i want to run it before night Sad

hey just set your clock and mclock values to normal. To default values. This must help and dont overclock much again.

i never OC it, i had the sam problem on windows 7 and 10

How much RAM you have?

mobo asus m2n68-am se2
CPU AMD ATHLON 64 X2 3800+
RAM ddr2 2gb
Used parts that I already had at home, can this be the reason? If so I will invest a little more or I will transfer the card to my PC

That's the problem, you need 3GB RAM or more.

thats my theory all well. 4 gb ram seems to me the minimum for windows, especially when dual mining or with higher amounts of cards.. personally i run 8 gb ram in my rigs lately.

also set at least 16 gb virtual memory. more wont hurt.

I just bought some "new" 480's. Guess what: they came with moded bios hahah. Somebody RMA'd them obviously. That might be also the case; or he overclocked them madly...

Hi Claymore,
I can't use USB wireless adapter tp-link 722n with Claymore v9.3. Every time mining starts, the internet connection immediately stops.
How to fix this problem, thank you.

+1 I am having the same problem. I have to manually re-plug the USB stick.

So i re-installed windows, installed fresh claymore and its still doing the same thing. As soon as the program starts to GPU buffer or starts to hash the screen goes blank blue or black and locks up. There are no errors showing up in the miner log. I'm installing minergate now to see if it does the same thing with that. Anyone have any ideas?

You probably have too weak psu or something.

Try running it with -ethi 1 in eth-mode.

+1 Agree. Try also to down-clock by reducing the frequencies and voltage  "-cclock 900 -mclock 1500 -cvddc 1000"

Its definitely not a weak power supply. I've tried it on the solo 550w evga as well as the additional 1200w hp server psu for the single card and the result is the same. I re-installed windows again and updated to 17.4.1 drivers with  the patch and as soon as any gpu mining program starts and it starts hashing it crashes with no indication of what the issue is other than the occasional report that the driver has failed. At this point I don't know how to fix it since i've updated everything multiple times now. i'm gonna try running a synthetic gpu benchmark to see if it still crashes.

Do a DDU. Install full AMD 17.4.4. Disable crossfire. Reset driver settings. Run Claymore default start.bat

Stupid question here, got a few Dell Vostro 260 at work, 1155 socket, 4 PCIE, i3 Processor, 4 GB memory, for some reason there is no way they will even boot if I install a R9 380 on the mobo, not even blink.
Strangely enouhg we have some Dell Vostro 230, 775 socket, Dual Core, the work like a champ, any idea of what could be going on?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Most likely your PC does not support UEFI BIOS. Therefore modern cards are not compatible.

Most likely you do not have w10 driver for 722n. The W 8.1 one work just as you say. Nothing to do with Claymore. TP link is adress...

That´s kind of strange, Vostro 230 is an earlier generation with a 775 socket and a dual core, it has no problem running the RX 480 at 30 Mhs, sure that one does not have a UEFI BIOS.
What really bugs me its the fact that it doesn´t even try to start/boot, well was just looking at some extra Mhs with free electricity

How should I set the -eres value if Claymore crashes miner during reallocating of GPU buffer for new DAG? Lower or higher? I'm running 4GB RX 570's.

edit: tbh it only seems to crash when I turn on the monitor funnily enough. Otherwise it chugs along pretty nicely.

PS: is there a way to have the log record the GPU temps?

Hi,

I've a problem with claymore. After few hours the miner get only bad shares on ETH mining (with DCR all seems ok).
12 hours stats:
- Good shares: 11.041
- Bad shares: 134.523

I actually use ATI RX 580 with latest driver version.

Can someone help me?
