I can't believe people are having trouble with msi cards and hynix memory! First of all, with the 4gb hynix cards use the 1500memstraps! Second, lower the gpu speed (1095-1191mhz range). Finally, start with a voltage offset of at least -14 in watttool. You should be able to set the mem to 1900mhz, but you may have to lower the p7 mem/gpu voltages even further. I'm getting 27/730 eth/dcr hashrate with 9.3 -dcri27 on a 4gb 470 msi gaming x. My msi ref 480's 4gb with hynix mem have the memclock at 2000 with everything else the same and the hashrate is ~28.6/800 eth/dcr. According to kill-a-watt all of the 480's use <100w for dual mining, and all the 470's <90w. I've got dozens of polaris cards and for me msi is the best for mining!
Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Hi Claymore and Community.

I'm switched from 8.0 to 9.3 and noticed that time of share accepted increased 2-3 times. And totally effected pool average hashrate.
See below, (dual-mining or single mode result the same):

Version 8.0
ETH: Share accepted (62 ms)!

Version 9.3
ETH: Share accepted (156 ms)!
ETH: Share accepted (172 ms)!

So, seems this affect hashrate and I lost around 10% in 24 hours period.

Any suggestion are welcome, thanks in advance.

Yes, I have also on v9.3 increased share submit time, from 31 to 70 ms on v9.0 to 150 ms and more on v9.3. Thats a huge step back, because it causes less accepted shares and huge drop on accepted hashrate on pool.
So I'm back on v9.0

(RX470 4GBs, RX480 4 and 8GBs, nanopool)

Also lots of ETH: Job timeout, disconnect, retry in 20 sec....

Back to 9.0 is not a solution..... Need proper improvement or advice.

Hello. I have a couple questions to throw to the brain trust:

I am wondering if anyone out there is still mining SIA along with Ethereum?  Does it makes sense as a second coin?

Also, I am running 2 RX 480's and I have a sapphire r9 270x.  Any drawbacks to running an older, slower card with two new cards?

I am seeing the following hashrates      27.2  27.2   11.1

Thank you
You will make more using the 270x to mine something like ZCL or ZEC, Use the -di in your commandline .bat. Set the 480's to mine ETH and DCR. Set the 270x to mine ZCL. You will have two instances of Claymore open.

Thank you for your reply. I see dwarfpool and nanopool no longer have DCR pools.  Where is the best place to mine DCR?

Does running more than one instance of Claymore increase total watts used?

I cannot confirm it, I see the same time. What CPU do you have and what CPU load do you see in Task Manager in "good" and "bad" versions?

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

I have rigs with Asus RX480 8GB with Samsung memory and also Sapphire Nitro's+ RX470 4GB, I have been switching to the latest versions of the miner but I have noticed they do not necessarily improve the hashrate

Is there some necessary setting like -asm 1 that would improve hashrate or decrease power draw? Which version of the miner do you guys recommend as best?

try v9.1 -asm 0

have problem with claymore 9.2 win10 eth+dec miner

rig either freezes, or shuts down. sometime it can work all day long, but if i try to test for stability and reset it many times to see how often it crashes, it does.
also the rig, after i shut it down many times turns itself up again by itself. or when it crashes it turns itself as well. although automatic turn on is NOT enabled in bios.
using RX 480 4gb sapphire nitro cards. with bios mod from anorak and slightly OC. tested also by removing one card at a time and see if it crashes, and it ndeed does....anyone might pinpoint the cause? trying to figure this up for the past one and a half week!

So much posting test results on the RX460 4G OC like I promised, after paying for my order and waiting a week I got a call from the store. I go down to the store to puck up the card and she tells me "we can't sell you the card at this price" and advises me she didn't even order the card.

How's that for Jewed? At least I got my money back.

On both version - v9.0 and v9.3 I have the same cpu usage on (latest G4560 3.5 GHz) about 1-2% overall cpu usage of whole system

If you are sure that the reason is the miner, not your pool or internet connection, you can create two log files and PM them, I will compare them.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

A couple of miner things:

From the READ ME!!!!!:

"SAMPLE USAGE

Dual mining:

ethpool, ethermine  (and Stratum for Decred):
   EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us1.ethpool.org:3333 -ewal 0xD69af2A796A737A103F12d2f0BCC563a13900E6F.YourWorkerName -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://yiimp.ccminer.org:4252 -dwal DsUt9QagrYLvSkJHXCvhfiZHKafVtzd7Sq4 -dpsw x
you can also specify "-esm 1" option to enable "qtminer" mode, in this mode pool will display additional information about shares (accepted/rejected), for example:
   EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us1.ethermine.org:4444 -esm 1 -ewal 0xD69af2A796A737A103F12d2f0BCC563a13900E6F.YourWorkerName -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://yiimp.ccminer.org:4252 -dwal DsUt9QagrYLvSkJHXCvhfiZHKafVtzd7Sq4 -dpsw x
"

a) From the ethermine site it was noted that the qtminer mode was dropped on 05/01. On their ethermine site, they don't use the -esm command in their Claymore sample command line. I guess this implies that the Claymore default is ok.

b) Regarding the use of yiimp.ccminer.org:4252, if I use 4252, I don't get anything. If I use the decred port 3242 from the Yiimp site, a few accepted but many errors.

I agree,  never seen a "bad" polaris card yet, samsung or hynix (480 or 470) are all doing 28MH fine.
However your power consumption numbers look way off. for me dual mine on voltages below 900mv is over 130W.
For example I've got here five card rig (2*480_msi_ref_8g  &  1*470_Ntro+_4g & 2*470_ref_4g) doing ETH&DCR @ 140MH&3200MH pulling 795W from the wall.
